The other significant thing about the breaking of the darksaber is that all the Mandalorians saw Bo Katan wielding it and now no one can take it away. As it should be, her honor and character and the respect she gained from all the factions is what makes her their leader.

My thoughts exactly. You can tell the people who actually watch the show and take in the smaller details, compared to those who don't. It is the ones who don't who are complaining. The amount who do not understand Jon's storytelling, he expects you to pay attention, not everything will come together in the current season, they may happen in the seasons to come. Episode 22 was a prime example going back to S1 with Din's hatred of B2's and him slightly regressing back with his own PTSD. It is refreshing hearing reactions from folk who understand.

Correct, and he was rescued during Order 66. So at his age of 50, he may have had many years of training already. It's possible that the psychological impact of Order 66 is slowly wearing off. Loved it!
Din and Grogu are now a family team, covertly working with the New Republic. I think it will return us to the types of scenarios we saw in seasons 1 and 2... my favorites. Din has to teach his apprentice, as he was taught. And what better way to do it than doing those missions. Will it start with them taking out the Shadow Council one at a time?
As for Bo, the Dark Saber is destroyed. As Din told Bo, one's Honor and Character is what's really important. The saber was a crutch and a point of contention between the tribes for centuries. Now look where they are... The scene at the forge, both helmeted and helmetless cheering together "For Mandalore". At the Living Waters ceremony, the usually helmeted wearing helmets as a sign of respect to the beliefs of the Children of the Way. Symbolizing they can do their thing and we ours; but we respect each others beliefs. We are all family.
The Mythasaur, of which it appears Grogu has a special connection to, we are sure to see again in the future. Moff's too smart to put all eggs in one basket. Probably a hidden room around with a few more clones, which Elia Kane may know about.
Favreau has already written season 4. Let's go!

The Darksaber was not the first symbol to be used in that fashion. Before it there was the Mask of Mandalore, that was held in similar regard.
There seems to be a cycle of someone uniting Mandalore. Someone uses a possession of the uniting figure as a symbol to cement their own rule. The symbol looses meaning over the years and the people scatter. A new unifier rises, unaware that something of theirs will become a future symbol.

32:18 Gideon has an affinity for Vader. He came on to the scene in Nevarro with a flashing chest plate that somewhat resembled Darth Vader's. Why did he have it? He didn't appear to be injured in anyway. I assumed it was an aesthetic change that he made, and since the Emperor, Vader, Thrawn and all other high ranking leaders were gone, there's no one around to tell him to take it off and to stop pretending--he tried to give his clones the Force and his armor is nearly all Black. Gideon wanted to be Vader 2.0, but he was more man than machine, though the burns he suffered in this episode surely charged his body something terrible, probably melting his truly bonding him to his robotic suit. He'll be more man than machine before we know it, but he'll still be without the Force. That said, I wouldn't count his clones out! He had a base on Nevarro, remember? There were clone tanks there too, so we know Mandalore wasn't the only place he was running experiments. Elia Kane has proven to be very loyal to him, and she just had Dr. Pershing gather everything she needs to do a bit of cloning of her own under the nose of the New Republic.
I expect Gideon to come back in some form, be it Gideon Prime or other. Next season will probably have the Mandalorians going around the galaxy to reclaim their stolen wares and metals, and somewhere along the line they stumble upon Gideon or one of his remnants. Gideon is tied to the Mandalorian's story and I think he'll always be their big bad. Thrawn got a name drop, sure, but I think he'll be tied to Ahsoka along with Ezra and everyone else from Rebels, since that's where he got his start.
I like how everything got wrapped up, and I'm happy to see that "the spies" were indeed the Shadow Council members. They were the ones always in the shows pulling strings and scheming. It wouldn't have made since for Din's covert to be spies--they were with him from the start and they were very loyal to themselves. The same goes for Axe Woves, he was shown to be very loyal to his sect of Mandalorians and Bo-Katan was part of it. He might have left her but she defeated him in combat and he has been shown to be married to his culture and beliefs. Bo-Katan beat him fair and square and she held the Dark Saber, she had everything she needed to have his support. Also Mandalorians betraying themselves to help the people that ruined their world didn't make sense to me, so I'm very happy that none of them turned out to be a Gar Saxon.
Can't wait to see where things go from here, but I guess I'm going to have to, lol. At least we have Visions and Ahsoka to look forward to.
