Have you noticed him going up and down the stairs with an absolutely powerfull settled voice? And the timing to change to the piano is perfect. Freddie the one and only ❤️

Freddies voice was flawless through this whole concert and on this song you really can feel the power and the ”lazer-notes”. But I’m so amazed by Brian on this one. If you listen you can hear the piano like three seconds before the guitar starts and it’s just incredible how fast he could switch and then directly focus on a new instrument. Freddie deserves everything he gets but the rest of the band is underrated, and it seems like you have realized that too. Please continue this journey, I love your Queen reactions so much!

So Awesome to hear that you use Queen as a "Go To" for emotional times! I think one of music's Greatest Gifts, is giving us the realization that we aren't alone in the world, others are Struggling thru the Same pains in life, and Celebrating Joys they thought were impossible to reach for themselves! The majority of the "music" of the last couple decades has been SOOO angry, materialistic,& lacking of True Artistry & Talent😱If I'd had to rely on That mess, I Don't think I'd have made it to Old Age.
You are a young man with a Deep & Old Soul, & it's a true Pleasure to watch you discover, and Love music you didn't want a part of not so long ago! I watched the Queen reaction you shared with your niece-what a Gift you are giving her!!!The Bond y'all will form over music, will be pure Joy in years to come,& I predict one day you will be surprised by Her bringing you a Jewel of a song she found,& is Bursting to share with her Uncle!!!

This was/is my favorite song on this album, it also had "Another One Butes the Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" as well. To get to see it done live, and I did in September 1980 during this tour at Madison Square Garden, was amazing!

Is so great watch a young man knowing the great Freedie , Brian, Dacon and Roger. I was in a Queen concert almost 2 hours live in São Paulo Brazil, in 1981 when I was 19. Yes , I am one of the lucky ones who had that fortune! Happy because you are a sensible young woman and understand that good music and talented performers are timeless. Freddie is alive in each one of us!

Aren’t they fabulous? Have you ever come across such a multi-talented group like Queen? No and you never will. They are simply the full package, absolutely unique in every way. God I miss Freddie, he was the real deal! Like everyone else I was shattered when we lost him, he was a true gift to the world. I’d like to thank you for your Queen reactions, introducing the younger generations to the most gifted and talented group the world has ever seen. I hope you have enjoyed your journey with Queen, we certainly have! Please keep them coming!

I saw Queen live 4 times and 3 of those times were with Freddie Mercury. You are right, during those concerts, I did close my eyes and Freddie's voice was flawless, as smooth as their albums. I will NEVER, EVER forget King Mercury when he stood a few feet from me and sang songs that impacted my heart and soul. I was so close to him and Brian that Freddie actually sweat on me, and yes, lol, it was an honor!

For your birthday, you should ask for the DVDs/Blu-Rays of the Queen concerts. Live at Wembley, Rock Montreal, Hungarian Rhapsody, Live at the Bowl. :-) Rock Montreal contains the Live Aid concert and commentary by Roger & Brian. There's something about watching entire concerts from start to finish, especially Montreal where you find out that Freddie was highly annoyed by the cameras in his face the whole time and he didn't give a crap about continuity (they played two nights and the concert footage is from both nights), so in one song he's wearing his shirt, and the next he's not, and the next the shirt is tucked into his back pocket.

Brian had said for years that it was about a friend who was going through a difficult divorce but now he admits that actually it was about Freddie who was going through a difficult breakup. While Freddie was alive, Brian wasn't going to pull anybody into Freddie's personal business but saying who this song was about. they are all spectacular. Brian's singing is underrated however. In the softer and a little folksy direction, I highly recommend 39, by Dr. Brian May (he has a phd in astrophysics) who sang lead vocals. Its a ballad about space travel and Einstein's theory of relativity/clock paradox-if you travel to the speed of light, your clock could say you've been gone a year, but on earth, it could be that 1 or 2 hundred years have gone by. Basically its a 70's precursor to Interstellar in less than 5 minutes, but Dr. May says the movie was way off. When he wrote the song, he thought the concept of interplanetary colonization sounded cool, but not so much now, given how our own planet is so screwed up. Its an awesome song.

Please react to ''Friends will be friends (official video)''. Queen perform the song in front of fan club members. During the show, Freddie Mercury "high fives" audience members, and at the end cuts the mic and sings along with them, letting them lead. Because of this, this performance was nicknamed "Queen's Greatest Show Never Performed".

You should react to Queen's live performance of Save Me in Buenos Aires, Argentina of the same year as Montreal, '81. They actually performed in the South American leg for The Game Tour, before they went to Canada, so they were quite disappointed by the relative lack of energy of the Montreal crowd. What's surprising is how supposedly hundreds of thousands of Argentinians knew all the words for Save Me, which at the time wasn't that well known being less than a year after the album was released, as well not being in their native language. And yet the Canadians couldn't even be bothered to sing the words for Love Of My Life which had been a staple for their live shows for years at that point, so Freddie didn't even entertain the thought of giving the floor to the crowd for Save Me...

The crowd was loud, on the official releases they tend to put the volume of the audience down. A fan who attended the concert said the crowd was loud .
And vocally speaking the shows at montreal are better than any south american tour.

Just because the crowd didn't sing, it doesn't mean anything freddie was giving his best in the montreal performances.

You mentioned piano playing in another of your reactions .. it’s the guitarist that’s starts off on the piano , then they smoothly swop!

I was a bit disappointed by this performance with John Deacon failing to take over the drums from Roger and Freddie finishing off on bass.

What's funny about this video is that Brian forgets the key for Freddie to start singing, and Fred has to come up and give it to him. Then, later, Fred forgets the words for a split second. Priceless!

He didn't forget the words, he was just waiting for a pause for Brian and Roger to follow up.

Freddie Mercury could out power ballad Steve Perry, but Queen played heavier music.I agree JB they cross all the age, race and ethnic boundaries, everyone loves them. They are the only relevant band from the 70s today.
