Well back then we could only hear it if we owned the album or 8-track. Maybe you were lucky and would hear it on the radio. There were no videos back then. My girlfriends and I would sing this as Sammy versus "save me" because we didn't have the lyrics hAndy lol. 'Spread your wings' mentioned Sammy so we figured this was written to Sammy too. But we were barely adults and just loved the music.
Yes the Queen Army! Even the Original Queen Fan Club started in 1973 or 1974 is still going strong with millions upon millions of followers. We fans of Queen have been loyal to them from the beginning. Queen live is always the best, but a lot of their songs are intricate they must be heard by the studio version, especially all their early works. Great reaction.
Watched your reaction again!! Yes, you are transforming into Queenies!! 👑 In 1981, I was getting married to my first husband and knowing what I know now … I needed somebody to SAVE ME!! But I did have 3 wonderful kids & 3 adorable grandkids as a result of some bad decisions!! 🤔 🤗
I saw them 3 times. 1978, 1980 and 1982. August 1980 saw the game tour in Indianapolis and this performed live. Brian May is my absolute favorite musician. Switching from piano to guitar is not easy and he did it flawlessly.
SAVE ME penned by Dr. Brian May about a friend who was going thru a difficult break up or divorce!! I’ve often repeated those words “Save Me” to myself. Freddie’s vocals are laser focused & beautiful, even strutting down the stairs Freddie doesn’t miss a beat. Btw, Superman wears a Freddie Mercury t-shirt. 💎💕👑💫
The album The Game is the 1st time I heard it. Nice reaction. I know you saw Somebody to love now you have to do the live version Montreal 81 same concert ty
Thanks, guys - this is a great performance - love how Brian starts on keys (with his guitar in his lap!) - and then the transition when he gets up to play guitar and Freddie switches to piano - the smoothest transition! also, a great song written by Brian May...
Nice reaction Somebody to Love, also a medley of Now I’m Here which goes into Dragon Attack then a back into Now I’m Here, Killer Queen which then goes into I’m In Love With My Car all from this same concert just a few suggestions the whole concert is amazing x
Been listening to Queen since 1974 at the end of high school. They have been my favorite ever since then. I was sitting on the patio in a lounge chair when I first heard this song and added it to my favorites for Queen. I still listen to Queen songs every day and love to watch how others react to their music. So many of their songs have lyrics that still apply to us today. Please keep reacting to their songs, you can see what musical geniuses they were and still are.
Guys, I love Queen and I appreciate your reviews of their music. Dig deeper. Give us your interpretations of their lyrics…what do you think of the melodies…what do you think of their command of the audience? only one member of the band was a trained vocalist
Woopsie, I was born in 1982 😂😂 But this song is so beautiful, and the video quality is out of this world. Thankyou for giving us some Queen again. Much bless and love darlings!
I was a school caretaker at the time and always had my cassette player handy. The Game was played a lot and Save Me was, and still is my favourite song on said LP
I was in 4th grade in music class. The teacher had the album and was playing it because it was a free day where we got to pick a group to listen to that day because it was towards the end of the school year and we had run out of assignments.
New Subscriber 🇬🇧 please check out Queen's video for "I want to break free" It shows their humour and is one of my favourite songs by Queen 😍 enjoying your reactions 💕👍 and yes I'm from the UK 🇬🇧
Brian playing piano with Freddie singing then Freddie walks to the piano and Brian back on guitar. Legends💛
Brian with the guitar in his lap, ready to go!

My favourite song from the Montreal concert, a lovely Brian May song and Freddie just puts so much emotion and passion into it.

He was born to be a performer. He is MUSIC. So missed.
Perfectly put. Born to perform with an angel’s voice.
The Queen ride down the rabbit hole is bumpy, so hold on tight.

I bought the album the game.. that's when I first heard it
There is so many songs from Queen that are amazing...my favorite album is The Game.

More Queen yay! Try You Take My Breath Away-live I. Hyde Park 1976. Incredible 😢
My favorite slow Queen song. ♥️
Did you notice Brian has his guitar in his lap whilst playing the piano?
I love your reactions. Godspeed from Chicagoland 👍🏽
React to "Somebody to love", live at Montreal 1981, or/and Milton Keyes 1982
The sound was too low maybe my phone maybe not turned up enough but it is a classic 👍🏻
