Hello , thanks for this video I'm about to do the same work on my 330d stage 3 as well ( n57 ) , have you done anything about the torque converter? I will upgrade the torque converter for the 6R80 gearbox version ( ford version of the 6hp26 for US market ) to handle the 1100nm better
Hi, thanks for subscribing.
Believe you already have 6hp28 being N57 if im not mistaken. So should be good just get a tune on it.
@@NENTECHM57 6hp28 came with 335D , I have the 6hp26Z exactly , when I'm going full throttle the gearbox doesn't shift from 4th to 5th , from what I've read it could be solenoids or TC that's why I ended up here looking for your vids lol
@@raphaelrichard92 did you read gearbox values? In Europe e90 lci(2009-2011) 330d N57 has 6hp28 . If you haven’t service it yet and it’s over 100k miles it’s worth doing.
@@NENTECHM57 yeah it's been serviced twice already, I have 240.000km on it , I'm going to read the values this weekend
Massive improvement, I replaced the oil, sleeves, bridge seal and Mechatronic sleeve on my E70 and its a nightmare on Axle stands and you have to remove the transfer case support bracket. It was so quick to see this done on a lift, was you surprised at how heavy the valve body was? I had a right sweat on trying to hold that up while lining the shifter up and getting a bolt it 😂
Your doing the valve springs next aren't you? That will be interesting to see as that's not something you come across much. Will you be removing the head and doing some other things like the valve seats, stem seals etc?
Thanks for a reply,
Oh yes I forgot how heavy valve body is, this is second time im taking it off, last time I’ve done the seals and service was 50k ago. But didn’t think it was necessary to change the seals as they where still good.
Also with new xhp update it shifts very aggressive.
Yea valve springs next, will film it , hopefully just cams out and put it in tdc and compress the springs.
How did u update to the new I drive, and which exhaust are you using thanks
Ccc died, it’s not too difficult to install in car it just needs coding that can be expensive if you can’t do yourself.
You need Cic unit, screen, controller, need centre trim as controller is different shape, need cable from i drive to screen, and need to re pin the power plug, wires are same just plug is different.
Exhaust is 3” all the way, but it will be getting new one with valve in next month or so
@@NENTECHM57 thanks, very intrested in your build, i got mine recently m57 last of pre lci, 08 plate high mileage, but still strong engine, been watchin some of your videos getting some ideas, u gonna change front to lci or keep it how it is, thinking of doing mine
@@mos784 I’ve changed 70% of car components so far already, but mostly performance wise. I got some exterior mods but trying to keep it to minimum , i like the sleepier look.
@@NENTECHM57 I'm gonna just turn mine LCI got parts cheap off same colour LCI car, was getting rough hesitation idle in town, just wondering if dpf or EGR or something else, happened recently when I put I Tesco diesel
@@mos784 there is few things too look out, m57 is good engine but it does have flaws, injectors, dpf, egr….
