this is better than tafe , youl be helping people, recently watched a guy completely dismantle a btr change a broken band and put it back together no previous exp, maybe hes a subscriber.
Great vids. You’ve given me the confidence to try and fix what a mechanic quoted me $7k to do. One of my valves will not come out. Have you ever encountered that?
Excellent video. Very thorand detailed. This has been very timely for me, as i just removed the valve body today to read the product code. One question, how did you select the zip kit model no. My transmission is 6hp26x and valve plate no is A052 or B052.
hi, if you search by transmission type will indicate zip kit recommended. on these there are a few different types of separator plate though, you need to make sure you get the correct one. they usually have what is called key-cut, square cut or angled cut....or go by the code you have if you buy genuine. the sonnax.com website has alot of free technical information. cheers
@YepThatsIt thank you for your reply. Yes sonnax website is really good with photos and diagram. I will use your video as a guide when i will be replacing the zip kit. Bit nervous though, hopefully i will not mess it up..
Friggin awesome videos mate, just about to order a new value body from ford for my PX Ranger, where do you get the tube seals and bridge seals from? I can see them on eBay, but I'm assuming you would want original OEM seals. Thanks for the great content your putting out.

I have a 6hp21 with only 21,000 miles, my question is that the clutch control valves A and E are tightly locked in the valve body, could you tell if this is normal? - th-cam.com/video/RYH6-Q9oBm8/w-d-xo.html
How many of the valves didnt have springs in them? Ive got my zf6hp26 in halves on my bench and i noticed that 3 of the valves have no push back. Cheers
no offence intended, but i often wonder if people actually listen to what i suggest ? click on the blue tab " view instructions " www.sonnax.com/parts/3052-zip-kit i do like to help but gets exhausting answering things i already have/often mention. cheers
The guide on how to install the end plugs with the o-rings is pure gold, worked like a charm. Thank you !
