If you are running 2209 , you can use either stealthchop (silent but less accurate) or spreadcycle (stronger and more accurate but quite loud) on the stepper motor configuration. However , you can get the benefit of both by using spreadcycle with higher microsteppings ,such as 64 or 128 instead of the default 16.
I have a tech channel that I started but I honestly have no idea where or how to start upgrading my 3D printer and this is very interesting to me! I’d love to learn how you do all this I have Anycubic Mega-S currently
my biggest recommendations for upgrades are of course mesh bed leveling and klipper. there are plenty tutorials out there for that. a personal recommendation would be teaching tech who has lots of videos about implementing upgrades. other than that i would just ask myself "what do i want my printer to do better?" and then upgrade that.
Can vouch for the phaetus dragonfly bms. Otherwise looks pretty much optimal. The artifacts could be input shaper related. Sometimes its a loose part, but you're quite thorough so its less likely. Any thoughts on printing custom gpu shrouds?
the best way to get B-Die these days is looking for used 3200 14 14 14 1.35V kits on ebay and such. i'm running 4x8 of those same spec dimms myself and they do 4800 18 18 18 individually and 3800 14 14 14 with a good ryzen imc
Really liked the Video! I got an Stock i3 Mega and i am thinking about making a lot of the upgrades that you did to the ender as well!

Hey. I remember you from Reddit. Can you recommend a good, cheap 32 GB 2x16 B-die kit?

When switching the y-axis motor do you have to change any settings on the main board or in the firmware?
