When I first started learning photography one of my favorite things to photograph was waterfalls with an insanely high shutter speed. This looks exactly like those photos. My mind is blown by these falls. Like when you see a magic trick that blew your mind, then you were shown how it was done and it was really simple, but even after, it still blows your mind every time.

Beautiful work!! Reminded me of Multnomah falls in Oregon before I even heard that the bridge was modeled off it. I have been there many times. A beautiful place to visit. The parking lot is one of the last places to safely pull over between there and the edge of Portland on the highway along the Columbia gorge. When my husband and I were coming back to Oregon after eloping for a year, we were driving a very beat up old dodge Mirada. He said he had prayed that if the car were to give out, that it be before the falls. Right as we passed the parking lot its carburetor just clogged up and we were able to pull over right near the median. Literally the last possible place to pull over. We had to call my sister in law and get a ride the rest of the way back, and while we waited for her we hiked around the falls. We have been back for many occasions, we brought our first child there when he was a few weeks old and have a picture of him with his aunt who had come to our rescue five years prior to his birth. Many other occasions. We are from the mid Willamette valley. Again, Gorgeous work! I love how much your falls look like the real place although I know you’re really just creating your own place and adding in the bridge. Thanks for bringing back some great memories

@@BoulderCreekRailroad An inspiration indeed! And also a great teacher as your tutorials explain perfectly how to achieve amazing results with ease-not to mention having some pretty solid comedy sprinkled in along the way😁As a fan of animated projects (love the mini r/c, oil drill and magnorail builds) I was curious if you've ever considered using running water for a flowing river or stream? It doesn't work well for whitewater or waterfall scenes but looks pretty good in a scene like your Muddy River diorama. There's really not much to adding the water-basically just applying waterproofing (polyurethane for me) straight to the foam and then using it in place of the modge podge in the wet areas when adding the dirt texture, rocks, etc. Lighting is an important part of the finished project to highlight movement of the water but other than that & water reservoir/pump placement there's not too much to it, especially if the water stays on one level of foam. I have a 3-4 minute video on the lighting aspect of it if you'd like to see what the running water looks like. Didn't make the house in video-not quite to that level yet! And certainly nowhere near the level of making great videos either (you've set the bar pretty high on that one!) so in the event that you watch any of the others I've made let me go ahead and apologize for you having to sit through that! th-cam.com/video/TETqjOiEj-0/w-d-xo.html

Having been to and by those falls on many an occasion, I'd say you nailed this one quite well.
The striking presence of that rock cliff in the Columbia River Gorge is a sight to behold!!
    Well done Luke.

great work as always! as an Oregonian i was able to immediately recognize where the inspiration came from! funny enough a few year back the bridge was damaged by a falling rock so it's cool you accidentally added some lore and history in

Looks great, I'd love to visit this place IRL one day. It's crazy how pillow stuffing can make such realistic water!

Fun to watch and the beauty shot at the end is unbelievable. I had to look twice to be sure you didn’t sneak in a real shot of the falls.

Spot on! Just seeing the thumbnail I thought "that looks like Multnomah Falls" and I was right. Went there once back in 2016, although the top tier fall was much thinner then.

The king has posted!! Thanks for another great evening watch Luke. You make amazing art but I have to say, my favorite part of your videos is the production value. You clearly care about the content you’re putting out :) I especially love that 3D effect you do with the labels where it makes it look like they’re there in real life. it’s absolutely fascinating to me for some reason lol

To all who read this. There is a scammer portraying themselves as Luke_Towan for the purposes of fooling people into believing they were randomly selected for prizes. If you have been picked, do not respond to the telegram message request. These people will scam you for money to pay for postage of prizes you will never receive. You have been warned Luke Towan has been notified of this scam. Again, if you have been selected, do not respond!

All thats missing are the railroad tracks crossing in the creek a little past the front edge of the diorama like at the real falls. Nice job I knew what your inspiration was before I pressed play as you recreated it so well.
