Hi, thank you for your enquiry. You may find information on our clinic locations and operating hours via this link: www.eastcoastpodiatry.sg/contact-us/
Just had an injection yesterday for a heel spur and the pillow in that exam room will forever have my screaming mouth impression, and my clenched gripping fingers from hanging on for the 'ride from Hell!' Oh boy did it hurt, but my heel pain is 98% gone tonight!😵😳👌
Yes it was cuz I was totally ignorant of what treatment I will be looking forward to getting in my area so thank you for helping me see what my heel spur future might be
Sorry. I did reply on my other TH-cam account and now had switched to my other account. But here’s my update I’m taking Magnesium taurate. Stopped completely taking milk in any form, cow, oat, soy or almond milk. Stopped carbs mainly pasta, potatoes, flour. It took me almost 3 months to notice a change in my body after the above two diet changes. The 24/7 pricking pain which was painful from 1-10 on any given day has gone. The only time I get slight pain is when I’m on my feet but it’s very bearable and barely there the next day. I’ve also just started applying pure castor oil, hexane free about a couple of weeks ago. The pain in my right elbow and thumb is so much better with castor oil massage. I try to massage the heel spur part hoping it’ll break off into smaller parts and therefore less painful (must say I’ve not been consistent with the heel massage) In addition to the above, I stretch my feet whilst seated, basically imagining writing the alphabets while my feet are slightly raised. I go from A-Z. Extremely relaxing. Hope this helps 🙏
Very education / useful video thanks - sadly I'm not in Singapore (UK) but I too think I have heel spur... can only run 2 miles (achilles pain also) and plantar Fasciitis has faded - can't stand on my toes either (sorry to unload you with my details) but hopefully someone else will have similar and find your video as helpful as it is to me
I followed the advice online on how to remove a bone spur on my foot- (Plantar Fasciitis a calcium deposit). It may remove a kidney stone as well since they are made of the same material. I mixed 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (living) (Regular Vinegar might work too), mix in 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid (optional) and drank this twice a day. In 2 days my painful, crippling bone spur of 10 years was gone! Look at your urine (pee) and see if it is cloudy. If so, this will mean the bone spur is dissolving. Interestingly, this is also what they use to naturally remove calcium deposits from your sink! I also a use a gua sha stone (Jade or Rose Quartz) with oil on my foot to stretch out my bunched up tendon that still causes pain. My podiatrist said the tendon gets bunched up and cut from the the bone spur; so that will take a little while to heal (no pun intended!) Also, if you have a hill or mountain to climb near you; do so every week even if painful. It causes you to flex your foot at the incline it needs to get stronger in the tendon!
@@friendlymuthu I started taking 1 tablet of Chanca Piedra per day and wasn’t really consistent as I kept forgetting to take it. However, I did find a slight improvement. Since 10 days ago I began with 2 tablets per day. I must say it has improved considerably and I can walk barefoot for a few minutes. It’s painful but bearable. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed and trying my best to stay positive. I will try and do the incline walk as suggested by someone here. I’ve also noticed that if I wear shoes or sandals with a small heel it’s less painful as opposed to wearing flat footwear. At home I wear arched flip flops and do try to walk barefoot everyday for a few minutes for the past few days. I’m taking Chanca Piedra (Jiva Botanicals 550 mg) 2 tablets for now. I will gradually include apple cider vinegar to my daily intake. The thing is, on another video (by Dr. Alan Mandell), I found this tablet option and just wanted to try it out. My foot pain has been nagging me off and on for over 40 years. My pain threshold is very high now and I’ve tried every possible therapy, footwear, and medications in the past. I’m still in slight pain but am happy it’s not excruciating. I haven’t had a pain free day in decades but my motto is “I don’t let my pain control me, I control the pain”.
interesting, thank you. I’m suffering from major foot pain inflammation that comes in waves, getting in touch with the doctor to get an appointment and custom orthotics, pain is a very big demotivator
Hi Doc, i have plantar spur for a year now, i went for a therapy and doing some excercise and cold compress, is there anything that you can add into that? Thanks
Had heel pain for many years and my hospital specialist diagnosed it as heel spur. My specialist said that the only way for me to get better is through surgery to remove the spur, yet he advised me to live with it instead. There is no other treatment option given. Do you have better treatment option if I were to go to your clinic?
Thanks for the video. You had mentioned that the focal shockwave device heals the tissue. Would you mind explaining the mechanics of how this is done ?
I’m having chronic heal pain that’s been gradually worsening for years . Being on my feet all day kills me . Rolling foot on ball helps some . Can heel Spurs all sharp intermittent pains in toes randomly too ?
A foot bath massage unit filled with ice every night definitely help to alleviate some inflammation! Custom orthotics can help, sometimes a lot, as well as proper fitting, quality footwear. Work boots in warmer weather can make your feet hot and add to the inflammation as well! Lifting weight on your bad foot or "applying excess pressure to it" may be a trigger to pain. Hand massage and rolling the foot on a spikey, ball made for feet and using a skin friendly cream on you feet, after the icy foot bath, can all be a benefit! No one likes to hear it but this condition can be like a partial disability! If you can give your feet some change, love, and prayers they may respond positively in time! "Note if someone use the ice foot bath, they need to be careful not to go to long, as you can freeze the tissue in your foot and cause damage, making you even more uncomfortable!! The foot bath with ice is awesome if used properly!!! as it numbs the nerve causing the pain! I put the ice in the opposite side of the foot bath to were my foot is and just do one foot at a time! I fill two food totes with ice and put them both in the one side! In time I have built up my tolerance to the cold, through the years but remember not to overdo it, It does not take long to freeze a foot and get one into trouble! There is danger with this method, if used incorrectly, so be warned!
Been dealing with pain too, had xray last week and it showed heel spur, so based on the video, the pain is not from the spur? I have also been told the heel spur surgery it is not 100% effective reason why a high percentage doesn't get surgery
Hello Doctor. Does the Shockwave therapy provide relief or dissolves the heel spur. I’m in excruciating pain and am tired or relief methods. My foot problem began in my early 20’s and I’m 60 now. Tried all sorts of treatments and therapies, cortisone shots, etc. and I’m basically so tired that I just stopped going to doctors. One comment from your viewer ‘woods of wonder’ wrote on what worked for him and I’ve begun doing exactly that. He mentioned what worked for him was a tablespoon of apple cider (with the mother), 1/4 tsp citric acid and 1/4 tsp baking soda. He’s not mentioned this but I mix the 3 ingredients in a cup of water and drink it.
