Tons of 14' step ladder work over a 2 week period has got me on fire LOL I also do yank my Keens off at the end of the day, I wont do that any more. I have super wide and super flat feet. Thanks for insightful info.
Thank you for your explanation! It help to know what is going on with the back of my feet. It was definitely a shoe that caused the tenderness. I had put ice and taking Motrin for a few days, however, the pain continues. I was thinking to buy a pair of backless shoes and in your video you recommend the same. Hopefully, I will feel better with the new shoes. Thank you!!
Currently I am in agony, back right center heel on fire. Minimal relief from ice/ medrol dose pack etc. Dont think its torn but if not better soon going to go to Ortho.
I have that, it’s very painful 🥵. I got injured at work, pulling a water pallet, with a manual pallet jack. Very, very heavy pallet, 2.200 lbs. I’m only, 5’3, weight, 117. I was, 47 years of age, when it happened. Seven years of pain and still in pain!!! My podiatrist, made me some orthotics for my tennis shoes.
Does peripheral neuropathy from type 2 diabetes ever present like that in that exact spot? I have that on both feet, but much more painful on the left foot. I just assumed it was from neuropathy, but now I'm wondering if it's a problem related to the attachment point of the Achilles tendon. This problem came on relatively quickly and shows no signs of ever healing.
Aspirin or anti inflammatory medication helps with pain keep it levitated and icing it helps the healing process. Stay off the foot as much as possible.
Epsom salt bath too made my swelling go down! I don’t wear Boots or tennis shoes but been having pain in this spot with it being summer I wear flip flops.

I have this kind of pain, have stop running almost a year plus. Now just doing jump rope, i miss running but can't find a suitable shoes kinda traumatized to running again😭
I have Achilles pain but I have a very high arch as well. It’s only the left foot. It started when I got back into hiking and 4 months later it still hurt but only hurts when I walk more and more
That comes from two things: 1. Walking long hours daily Like a person working 2 jobs. Walking alot Feet not getting enough rest Overworked many hours on Feet. 2. Heel rubbing against shoe or boots. Constant Friction cause inflammation. Heres what everyone should do. Use electric tape cost near $10 a roll get white or black or blue doesn't matter the colors. Tape 4 short strips On back of heel. And wear 3 pairs socks. 3 protect your skin from blisters and calluses. The electric tape works as a wall barrier.
I've had a superficial blister from tight boots many times, but never a deep inflammation. But now my foot is swollen behind the tendon for no apparent reason. No injury or increase of stress. It hurts really bad in the morning after sleep. Walking pumps the inflammation out. Cold temperature is deceptive. The pain comes back worse like a tsunami wave afterwards. Ibuprofen and Ketoprofen are surprisingly effective.
It took over 3 months to heal to the point where I didn't feel any pain and could bend/streth the joint. Wtf. There is still a few degrees less movement freedom in my left foot.
put a tennis ball on the floor , put your foot on ball and work that ball around up and down the bottom of your foot you will feel the tight spots , just keep doing every night , you might have to stop cause it can get a little painful , just work that around , difficult at first chasing that ball but keep on , you will feel it loosing up that tendon and in most cases fixes the problem , fyi

I'm dealing with that right now. Basically pain on the outside of my ankle, but the pain is actually located on the side of my heel. The only reason I got it was because I decided to walk up a bunch of stairs, then walk back down. I'm talking probably 100 stairs or more. I think I got this pain because I haven't worked those muscles or tendons in years because I had such bad knee pain. Now that I've gotten a knee replacement, I'm hiking around a lot more. But I'm also finding that because I haven't worked these muscle groups etc. for so long, it's easy to damage them. I hope this eventually goes away.
My pain is mostly when I touch only. It’s on the back of the heel to the sides. It’s a sensitive bruise-like pain. The tendon is not sore walking or touching. It’s when I press on the side ankle bone on both sides of tendon. It’s not the specific areas in this video. Is there birsa on the back sides of the tendon? I don’t feel any issues in the space under the tendon just before the bone.
@@OrthoEvalPal Thank you for responding! The two spots are not rubbing anything. I haven't changed shoes. man, my shoe removal behaviors seem to have caused bursal pain. who knew.
Sometimes it's the small things we do by habit.
Something I've recently (around 3 to 4 weeks) had a problem with is when I start actively getting on my feet liks moving around and working out, my heel starts to get a sharp pain when I stop moving around, but when I move around again it stops hurting. Is there any reason for this?

@@Fari317 if you do any intense exercise like sprinting or basketball training, try to take a break from it and dont workout so hard, also, massage the area for 5-10 minutes and do a lot of pain relief exercises
