At 2:23 I remember being so angry at songbird. I finished cyberpunk three times and finally got the expansion. I thought “holy shit we can get out of this” then songbird tells you that she lied to you. I was gutted. I was angry. Johnny says “can always call reed” I remember thinking “yeah I’ll call reed. The singing when you pick her up to the shuttle is just 10/10 I felt like Ryan gosling on blade runner 2049. Screw it. I’m gonna help someone. I’m GOING to get her on that ship. Sorry reed. ending where songbird is free (killing her in reed's path or sending her to the moon) is the best ending cuz she can not be used as a "weapon" anymore.
It was really hard, but a gave them both false salvation, for the sake of my own; just to realise, i didn't want to take their "help" i could not finish this, knowing I would have to erase Johnny, to save me. So i took the hottest iron i had, went to Arasaka tower gun in hand and on fire, without dragging anyone else with me, installed a mod that made Smasher one shot my gonk ass and a Sandi, just to feel the real terror.
I knew from experience it would probably have a depressing ending, but it still left me feeling empty knowing it was all for nothing. And even IF you get what you wanted, you pretty much sacrifice everything to live on.
personally don't feel like that's the right way to think about it. Songbird is supposed to mirror v - she's dying and willing to do anything to survive, just like us. and for that, she's being hunted by the feds. sure, V won't get to share that cure like promised, but you have the chance to help save a woman's life and give a big F U to the govt. that seems like something my V would happily do
@@TheDudeSmashTrashthink he went for the other ending the one in cynosure, or the one where you hand so mi to reed in the cutscene ending you loose judy, panam, river and kerry, Vik is lost to to corps Jackies obviously dead and most of all you lose your pride for sending So mi back to slave for myers and you lose johnny
@@TheDudeSmashTrash you do it for the black wall cyberdeck, and plus you can still let reed move on, best way in my eyes, i mean unless you dont care about reed thats fair enough but if you betray so mi and kill her in the end to make sure she dont have to go back to the gov, sol reed will start a new life as well in a better place and as a better man which i think is the best outcome for what everyone needed, also if you truly think about it nightcorp aint no arasaka or nusa but so mi goes to the lunar colony with nightcorp and mr blue eyes for some unknown reason so yeah the fact your sending her with another corporation literally means both sides of the coin end in similar way unless you specifically kill her in cynosure.
This is perfect for something I have in mind for the future *"There once was a paladin who was born a sorcerer who had struggled to follow a path to devotion until he had lost everyone he knew and loved. His friends, family, even comrades, all dead. With such grief and loss came a new path, to vengeance upon the elven oathbreaker and the masked warlock who burned his hometown, turned the dead into zombies, and later slaughter a citadel full of holy knights. With a sword on one hand and a shield on the other, he would vanquish the monsters who brought such despair upon him and any who would do the same. No child should ever face such loss like he felt."*
Got the killing moon ending and man it was a gut punch for me. I like both So Mi and Reed, but from the get go I knew Reed would be the type that wouldnt bend for his principles. So killing him to save So Mi made me feel empty. Like a comment said in another video, the main game was V's story, but Phantom Liberty was Songbirds. So helping felt right imo, even though she lied to V, I understood why.
I also chose the Killing Moon first playthrough. Now I'm currently doing the Firestarter ending, I highly recommend giving that ending a shot too. I feel like it delves a lot deeper with So Mi's connection with the blackwall than the Killing Moon ending.

So I've been drawn to Cyberpunk through the music preference. Retro synthwave style. I'm a cyber enthusiast and professional. What am I about to embark on? I've never played this game, but it's calling me. Everyone is recommending this to me.
As an older gamer, this has been one of the very few games that felt like it was written for adults. It can be difficult to describe, I think everyone that played it took some version of their own meaning from it. In a city where it's legally required to own a gun, Night City is a cold and violent place. It's like a metal giant constantly looming in the background, reminding you that even thinking about hope is pointless. Your life means nothing to it, or the people in it. And NC doesn't offer any "good endings" either. But it's an experience that will stay with you...if you can stay with it until the end. I felt like I was walking into a completely different, and new world. I've spent over 727hrs in that world now, and I still keep going back to Nighty City. And I also can't stress this enough, but this is a next-gen game. Meant to played on the latest consoles or PC. Please don't play this on your PS4. lol
Alas, the King of Wands ending was my second in my playthrough. The first time, there was the King of Swords. Afterwards, I felt why I didn’t do the first time as I did the second time and still torment myself with this thought when remembering Phantom Liberty. But, apparently, you can’t deceive yourself here and you acted then as you considered necessary. Then, I also played the King of Cups ending, no matter how painful it was for me. Let me note, “painful”, not “difficult”. I didn't play the other endings, that was enough for me. A masterpiece game.. During my first playthrough (February 2023), I couldn't get away from the game and played for a week every day until I completed the main story and some side quests. I didn’t even watch TH-cam back then. There are no more games like this, at least not yet.
It might have started with a promise to save myself, but at the end, with everything I've learned about Songbird, it was all for her anyway. The lie didn't matter one bit to me.
