I'd say "Phantom Liberty: Everyone's gangsta until the Gate K9 starts playing". This song is more an emotional equivalent to the "Never Fade Away" cover. :-)
@TerminatorZXY that's the thing, he never acted like that didn't apply to him, he simply stated it when V felt betrayed, because the truth is, it's not that black and white. He knew he could die confronting you, just as you knew you could confronting him, and frankly that is incredibly highlighted by how there is no boss fight for him, he is no imposing immovable object, it's just the difference between who shoots first, the pull of the trigger, the click of a button, its all the same in the end, and both V and Reed accepted that fact in The Killing Moon ending. I honestly loved that. Hell, it wasn't even black and white whether so-mi was evil for what she did, because in perspective, she was out to save herself and she did whatever possible to do so, just like V. V used so many people, just like So-Mi. The only truly fucked up creatures in this story are Rosalind Myers and Kurt Hansen, the background players, treating V, So-Mi, and Reed like chess pieces in a convoluted and dirty game of chess.
Fun Fact: The character at 1:50 who bumps V's shoulder is the singer of the song, Dawid Podsiadło. He also appears in-game as a character named Dante Caruso in the side gig "Shot by Both Sides". Dante is also voiced by Podsiadło if the game language is set to Polish.
Yeah man I gotta agree. I put this up there with snake eater and also sidenote, when I hear James Bond, like music or theme songs, I think of the latest James Bond actor which is Daniel Craig and he’s my favorite is that weird anyways, that’s an amazing song. I can see myself listening to that again I’m as well put it in my list of music I listen to.

@@kadirr8974 I believe that depiction is supposed to be So mi before she joined the FIA. That is how she appears in the (Spoilers) Memories you see when trying to reach her inside Cynosure during the storyline where you side with Reed
You are dead on correct! I chose (spoilers) to side with her, take her to the launch pad but then gave her up to Reed for his offer. And when he picks her up into the shuttle and the music starts kicking in at that moment and on through the credits with this song....wow, very powerful. After going through an intense moment of escaping the spaceport to a dramatic moment....just a perfect production and great ending for me. It hit the feels, a good feels. I applaud that, mission accolmplished. Loved it!
It was always a masterpiece, if people just looked beyond the glitches. I played this back in 2021 realized it then how amazing and emotional this game is.
And that kind of Secret agent too (Idris Elba) And I think that might have been hinted at in the cinematic trailer I don't know if you watched the Night City Wire where it was revealed but it was said at some point that there was an Easter Egg in the background of a specific shot I'm 99% certain the Easter Egg was a news report of the Dow Jones going up or down by 0.07% Dow Jones being abbreviated as DJ, which can also mean Disk Jockey, i.e. what Idris Elba is for one of the new Radio Stations (Dark Matter I think? Something along those lines) Soooooo, maybe 👀
@@alexanderrose1556 It doesn't need to be Bond. It's a franchise rooted in old patterns, old tech, old social cues, and goofy campy action. (Though they have tried to make it grittier in recent installments.) Idris brings so much gravitas that I would like to see him spearhead a new spy franchise more worthy of that gravitas. Hell, I'd rather see the events predating Phantom Liberty as a movie over just another Bond installment.
I feel like it should have been nominated too. At least the original score was nominated in TGA 2021 but didn't win. I wonder if the release date kinda ruined it also. 2077 was released on the same day as the TGA awards was held. So people had a full year to experience other things before TGA 2021. Anyway it doesn't matter. What matters is that we love it.
@jorgeiriartej.3840 Honestly, siding with Songbird, then giving her up at the last minute is probably the best option for her. If you drill her on who exactly gave her the tickets to Luna she'll describe Mr. Blue Eyes. Y'know, the guy that was involved with altering the Peralez's memories? It's not likely that he/the company he represents are saving her out of the goodness of their hearts. All she's doing is trading the devil she knows; a devil who, despite everything, _does_ seem to care about her, for a devil she doesn't know, and likely doesn't care about her.
@@Wounded_Kitten That is true but if you do send her off to the moon, you will know she made it safely as she gives you another quest a little while after giving you a token from a moon city.
Finishing the final mission at 4 am then half falling asleep while blasting this song on headphones as the credits roll was a reality-altering experience
5 am in my case. I had only 2 thoughts in my head rolling through my head when credits were rolling: 1. What the fuck just happened 2. holy fuck its 5 am and i have work at 9 am and one more 3. damn Dawid Podsiadło is fire
It's 5am right now, just finished and I'm shocked by the ending. This was absolutely stunning. This is how you should make choices in Video games matter. Damn.
Yep, not 100% sure it was the music that triggered me, i mean, PL choices were weighing heavily on my soul and this song kinda works well with the feeling i already head after pulling the plug on So Mi. That said, Never Fade Away got me the moment the lyrics started, still do, even when i just hear it. For that this song has to be nr2 by a small small margin.

The visual of Hansen putting his pieces down and Myers flipping the board and eventually sacrificing her piece just throwing it away was a masterpiece visual
And then when the piece falls and then turns into the tunnel…yeah I totally agree and that’s what I was thinking, “man this ending sequence is kinda amazing.”
i must say seing V surrounded by all of them and falling down, forced to make a decision is fastest way to get a heart attack this scene alone perfectly shows u all the drama in just 10 seconds
It shows you so much in a few short moments. Hansen working so hard to set his board and thinking he's important when in reality Myers is an entire other level that could wipe out all of his carefully laid plans in a mere instant, on a whim. Her lack of care for Song as anything other than a tool, a pawn. And her ruthless personality where nothing matters but resurrecting her "image" of the USA. Fuck me I thought "killing moon" was a heartache, then I played "somewhat damaged". Watching Reed walk out into the desert and hearing the song phantom liberty play got me 10 times worse😭😭😭😭😭
This is a MILLION times better than Skyfall. That was a boring non-entity piece of tripe that Adele couldn't even pronounce the title word properly. This is immense.
Let me just say the endings of Phantom Liberty with this song just hits the perfect feels. Its one of the few times I sat in silence after a video game ending and just listened.
Tbh, it's not about saving yourself. In the words of Johnny Silverhand... haven't realised it yet, have you? You can't save yourself, remember? You got shot in the head, and you died! You don't normally get back up from that and walk it off... you're not there to save yourself. You can elect to help those around you... but even that's not a requirement, you can screw everyone out of everything...
The story writers at CDPR need to be awarded. Seriously. I wasn't prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that is phantom liberty. ...did you give up the bird or let it fly?
Went to far too give her up at the end, even tho V got betrayed, I wasn't gonna throw her life away, there was no turning back now not after everything we did.
This DLC really drove home the "no happy endings in Night City" theme. I never felt good or confident about any of my choices, a long series of lose-lose situations where all you can do is try to be true to your own convictions. It will definitely stay with me a while.
As someone who’s a newcomer to this game and has been wanting to play it since it released, that fact is becoming truer every second. Night City really does take everything from you huh? I’m just hoping I can at least get the good ending with Judy. Even if it kills me she at least deserves some happiness.

People were so quick to judge upon the games launch, people never cared to look into the future but rather the present. CDPR developers outdid themselves.
Absolutely adored it, without properly spoiling the ending I got for others possibly including you. Getting to the core was a pain in the arse but even that frustrating challenge was full of emotion, fear and mystery. Then that choice I had to make at the end. I made a big mistake choosing what I did. Not many things can make me cry but this song was what finally burst the dam.
@@kieranadamson3224i think every ending I've had to the game has made me cry (even the new one) but the ending to phantom liberty was all equal parts "did I do the right thing, what will be the consequences " was very thought provoking. But I don't think I'd do it differently in retrospect.
*Spoilers* I liked the DLC but "Somewhat Damaged" dragged this DLC down, imo. Running from some scary robot in a facility like it's a horror game got lame real quick. Thankfully you can skip this by siding with So Mi at Kurt's place.
Johnny : Promise me one thing, will ya ? V : I promise. No idea what, but I promise. Johnny : Not askin' you to never give up. Sometimes you gotta let go... Just don't let anyone change who you are, 'kay ? V : Johnny, I... Johnny : G'night Valerie. Today was a good day.
This broke my heart because seeing how Johnny really loved my V and calling him Vincent after saying how we settled it in the oil fields how we felt etc was heavy. You could tell how much emotion and growth Johnny and V have together by the end of the story. Johnny really does love V and have regrets. And when it all comes down to it he wants him/her to live. He does love them. And for the first time he wants nothing more than to do the right thing for once. It sucks so much because V and Johnny deserve to live and have a happy ending. They’ve been through so damn much and both fought like hell. It’s a tragedy. I’d have given anything to have them Jackie and Songbird to live/be cured too. And not have it end so bittersweet for these characters. Like without saying anything that ending if you played PL man… I was mixed and kinda mad while being sad 😅but I get what it means and is conveying storytelling wise
I wish they let it cook until its actually a good game as 2.0 was for someone who never played the original mess, and not rush it. Hopefully they learnt their lesson with the original release. Although witcher 4 is first, so there is a long way until Orion
Playing the game for the first time broke me hard. Watching Edgerunners broke me harder. But Phantom Liberty? Actually had me resting my face in my hands out of sorrow.
Same. The main game has the Aldecados ending, which i think is still the most hopeful outcome for V and most of his friends. Edgerunners ending was hard but also kinda beautiful. But Phantom Liberty? V can just choose between betraying someone or being betrayed. Every choice comes with a sacrifice...and that's just heartbreaking.
@@alsenar2honestly I think the best ending is siding with so mi and then turning her in to reed when she passes out in the final mission, pretty sure it's the only way everyone including v can live and the only one who gets kinda fucked over is so mi but even then it's probably for the best given how far gone she is by the end

taken as a girl from her home, her skills exploited to such an extent she contracts a terminal sickness, she then tries to save herself but in doing so becomes entangled and trapped in a conspiracy to conduct treason and is hunted by the very people who exploited her in the first place. A good summary of this incredible but tragic story, the level in Project Cynosure bunker lets you really put yourself in So-mi's shoes and relive the important and painful moments of her life, understanding that in the end she's just a sophisticated tool in the eyes of Myers and the FIA, who only want to use her as a computer/Object and don't give a damn about the potential consequences of their action on SongBird's.

True. I booted up the game with all the dlc and thought this was the main story, skipped a little bit of songbird's nonsense cuz I thought she was minor character who I will get to get rid of in the future, I really liked reed but disliked somi for betraying. Also I betrayed so mi so I could use ice breaker. But after playing alien isolation with somi I felt the game was kinda short until I found out that it wasn't the game but dlc 💀
Finished it today and I'm in tears. The choice between reed and song bird is clear as a daylight but man it feels so difficult to betray reed. Even though his motivation and drive towards madame president is flawed but man he was a kind mind deep inside. This is the sort of production quality we should expect from a AAA game and boy did CDPR deliver. The gameplay, the acting, the suspense, the music and the visuals were all pure perfection. Phantom Liberty was a truely cinematic experience and this song hit so hard at the end. Wow. Just Wow.
Has raised the standards... so many games feel now childish when u compare them with Cyberpunk... I absolutely adore how CDPR has the balls to trust the audience is intelligent and mature enough to grasp adult, sometimes downright disturbing themes (such as XBD snuff films, serial killers, and graphic suicide) and deep narratives and character building. I played Starfield before i did another play through of this including this incredible DLC and wow... actually night and day when it comes to narrative and character building. I actually really loved Johny Silverhand by the end, Judy too (her non romance friendship ending with male V on the pier talking about leaving night city after your dive through her old neighborhood was so damn bitter sweet and moving), and i was sad to see the game end. I did the set the bird free ending to this DLC, it was beautiful. When the credits rolled and this song came on it truly felt like i had just watched a 10/10 futuristic bond film. I'm 32, kinda fuckin old for a gamer, enjoyed gaming since i was 8 years old and i can count how many games made me really feel something sublime with their story on 1 hand. Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk would both be on that list so thank you CDPR you are fucking awesome and you elevate the medium of video games with your work and prove that game design is a true art form.
gotta agree with you there, these heavy adult themes create such an intresting world, these regular things in our current world have been taken to the etremees in the world of cyberpunk. the wealth gap of the population, the pervasive crime, the cosmetic surgery goes beyond bigger lips but modify abilty, I can appreciate an Harry potter type story which tackles dark but not exactly disterbing and as adult themes but sometimes i wanna go deep in on those themes and not just tackele the surface of 'people are bad but sometiems they are good' but betrayal, oppression, guilt, depression, hopelessness, desperation, death, these are have major impacts on the world of CP77 and it create an diverse and textured story that is hard to have in other world that restrict themselves to a younger teen audience (that that every media needs a dark and depresing story dealing with the worse of society, i love a lighter take on the themes of evil but man do i love CP77 usage of a dark adult world.
Exactly the same thoughts I have. Played starfield and then this and wow its embarrassing how much it just blows starfield out of the water. Thought some story bits of starfield were alright but man compared to this? No chance.

this game went from being hated to universally loved and i'm so happy for cdpr, recently completed this expansion and wow what a masterpiece first credits i've ever sat all the way through just to listen to the music
Say what you want about CDPR but there is no other studio that's even remotely close to their storytelling. Sure Rockstar and Naughty Dog can tell a good and compelling story but no other game made me feel the range of emotions like Cyberpunk did. Cyberpunk, I think, is the most narratively mature game to date. I love being treated like a serious audience and not a 40yo manchild with a FunkoPop collection (hi Bethesda) and very few games can do this. Cyberpunk proves that games are art, and a serious narrative medium that asks big questions.
I second what you said. I would even add that CDPR (along with Rockstar and Naughty Dog like you mentioned) as one of the "Scorsese of game making", that aims towards more serious audience like you said and put in heavy emphasis on narrative as art. And there are those "popcorn" quality games like Ubisoft, Activision, EA, and maybe even Bethesda.
More games need to be this serious, I had an emotional break when ev died then again at the suicide ending. The only other game to hit me so hard was life is strange and hearing fem v’s voice cracking at the emotional parts hurts so much.
Eh idk Rockstar killed it with RDR2. One thing RDR2 did better with the story was giving the player the time to develop a connection to the characters. There really wasn't a lot of time to develop a connection with So Mi, Reed, or Alex. Same thing with Jackie from the main story. Fortunately the voice acting is so good that you can feel the emotional connection between V and those characters. All in all, I think you have to do a lot of suspension of disbelief and use of imagination is involved.
Poor V played by all.. ~ despite having Panam, Judy, River ward, & Johnny Silverhand.. she's still Alone and lost in search for her survival ~ I'm sorry, Female V is cannon for me.. Male V seriously made me dislike V & the game never liked him my 1st playthru or understood his body language in dialogues.. lacked the depth and micro-expression fem V gives out.. so i let johnny live instead.. lol this time.. I Love V like i loved Geralt ~ recently found out the voice actress. Her Cuteness overwhelmed my Cyberware XD
Tells you a lot about how messed up the world of cyberpunk is when the most relatable and least dishonest people in it are international spies and simple mercenaries.
In many ways she's a reflection of V's current state, she'd do anything to live, she's looking for any out she can get and even sacrifices a part of herself to live. She casts aside her morals and betrays even someone she truly considers a friend just to live. In a way it's the very struggle V is going through, he'd do almost anything to survive, potentially even at the cost of friends, but in one ear there is Johnny who despite all his flaws is saying that one shouldn't kill who they are just to live. That one should live with values and morals and not sell themselves to some oath or corporation because you're human, and you should stay human.
@StormBK1337 starfield didnt win any awards. They have only nominations which mean nothing. And this game wont win a single award. Cyberpunk DLC was better than their actual game in LITERALLY every possible way. I am unable to name one thing that is better in Starfield.

Honestly I felt like there is a good ending. Not trading in So Mi and killing Reed. So Mi finally gets away from all the suffering she went through, Alex finally can retire and Reed is finally freed from being the slave he was for all those years. @@traygold7556 Phantom Liberty is the only DLC 2077 is going to get. The Multiplayer thing is a mod (meaning only on PC and it's going to be janky, but still fun i'd imagine, the dev has some cool ideas), the official implementation was cancelled years ago due to the poor launch of the game leading to CDPR focus on fixing the game + the migration to Unreal Engine 5 in future projects (meaning any work done in Red Engine, the one Cyberpunk runs in, wouldn't directly translate to UE5). So all we got for the future of Cyberpunk is Orion (codename for the next game/sequel, probably 5+ years away) and maybe that live action series.

It’s been talked about, I think, by the devs - Phantom Liberty will be the only DLC to C77; there will be no expansions (and who knows if there’ll be a show; CDPR wasn’t necessarily in charge of the show). But there’s supposed to be a sequel. I doubt it will be about V’s journey since we did have the option of various endings, so I have no clue what it could be featuring, but it is going to be a Cyberpunk something or other.
Just think, this game evokes such a storm of emotions that no one will be able to call games just entertainment anymore. This game is a work of art. You become attached to the characters as if they were living people, and you worry about their fate. CDPR, thank you for that work of art.
Shit man, games have been art since Ocarina of Time. Evoking philosophical questions about the loss of innocence and the importance of nature. The media just likes to shit on anything young people like because young people don't watch their programs. They gotta get those old cynical people to get riled but because back in thier day they had a hoop and a stick.
So true. No game has ever been this immersive. It just makes you feel like you’re living V’s life. Everyone in the game is so well written they feel real. It’s pure art.
What did it for me is it was 20 hours that invoked emotions. Didn’t cry or anything but it was definitely emotional. Last time I felt like that from a game was a full 80 hours of rdr2
This is the best "bond theme" I've ever heard! It's worth completing the expansion for this alone, but you ALSO get one of the best written expansion stories I've ever played! I think it's safe to say that CDPR have won us back.
Yeah, I felt like I deserved it. Played it on very hard difficulty, level 60, didn't die once... of course I was chromed twice as much as Adam Smasher by that point. Sandevistan + Rasetsu, serious carnage my chooms.
I was wondering why this song wasn't uploaded officially. Really needed to listen to this again after finishing the dlc. Loved it man... Shame Cyberpunk 2077 is not getting more expansions.
Hey, Orion will probably come out in 2025 - 2026. We have that to look forward to and considering what the canon ending to the game clearly is. We're in for one hell of a ride. I just hope we can get a full game on the calibre of PL next time. I have hope.
@@kieranadamson3224naah bro Orion is not releasing anytime soon.... they are working on the next witcher and w1 remake... Orion is probably 2030 or something 😞😭
@@shirogamih777 ah well, principle stands at least right? Besides, considering the overwhelming positivity for Phantom Liberty, that could place at least a bit more importance on the next Cyberpunk project. Yet, in turn they hopefully will actually take the time to properly craft what we got a glimpse of in PL into a game.
God, they turned this game around so hard with pl. I knew as soon as I was sitting there watching these credits that phantom liberty was one of those campaigns I wish I could wipe my memory of and replay fresh again
Idres Elba didn't get to star as the next James Bond, so CDPR went all out for Cyberpunk 2077 to make an awesome spy thriller for him to star and shine in!! Absolutely nailed it with this track (as well the rest of the soundtrack) it captures the spy thriller theme so well (with some obvious notes from classic James Bond themes). Phenomenal achievement on the music, the expansion and update as well!! It will stick with me for a while as well as this track looping over and over in my head ❤
I bet your ass Elba has wider audience now than he would as James Bond. The only difference is that he won't be dragged into morning show interviews because of this role. Not sure if that's a bad thing tho.
Whoever made these visuals deserves a huge raise, this not only sounds great, it looks. Looks like a best music video for this song that encapsulates plot and it's interpretations in couple minutes.
God, i just really hope V has a drink in the sequel, we don't need to know what exactly happened, since the max rep is 90% prior to the ending. The new ending is just so, something........ and Reed? He's just Militech's Takemura to me, good man, yes, but can't see the real truth
@@AhmadWahelsa If they make a sequel I really hope that the new ending is NOT canon. I am not happy with any of the endings but I can live with them. I just hope that if they ever make a sequel they make the main character more of a tougher badass, and much more epic, complex and grand story.
One of the best stories I have ever played and the best end credits for sure... When they all stopped I stared at my own reflection in my monitor like "Woah... It's gonna be awhile before I feel this again"... Felt like when you finish watching a masterpiece at the movies and you're just sitting there like 😮... Anyone else feel that?
Mhmm, I wholly agree, especially since I get so immersed in this game, Phantom Liberty is gonna be stuck in my head for a while. Ever since that talk with Songbird about fleeing everything and everyone, I knew betrayal was inevitable, but nothing could've prepared me for what decisions I would have to make and the weight each one would carry. I saved Songbird in the end, sent her to the moon, but felt genuinely used and defeated by everyone involved, like a fucking doormat. Must've sat there for an hour just processing everything that happened and how it affected me. Definitely on my list of greatest/most memorable games I've ever played.
I also felt like that.... i sent her to the moon, just wanter her to live after being used as a weapon of mass destruction...just wanted her to be happy for once. tried to sleep after the credits rolled... without success...
I felt that and more, but yes I feel you. It was VERY emotional. That song playing at that moment after the climax, blew me away, and made me feel such powerful emotions... Especially considering it's like a spiritual successor to a James Bond song, or CDPR's take on one, also taking into account the fact that a mission was literally named "You Know My Name" (the name of the opening song of Casino Royale), and I got reminded of what I feel for those songs. Along with the emotions from my playthrough, it did something crazy... The power of music and Passion..! Anyway yeah, that feeling. I know it well. Then life continues but you're still under the emotion... The clock is ticking and the show must go on, and yet... Something crazy happened and now we live with that experience in us. A blessing...
Agree, especially after I choose to betray Songbird, the story became more emosional, and the end we must have make so hard choice, kill her or let her live, maybe that's the hardest choice in my live...
Man I cried, in the base game ending, edgerunners ending and now Phantom Liberty aswell, im not a guy that goes emotional in movies or games but CDPR did something different with cyberpunk universe, atleast for me, I can feel V emotions, the urge to survive and everything that happens in the process of trying It. Congratulations for creating this game guys, for me It has the best storytelling from games ever, and this songs are extraordinary. Feels sad to see that we only gonna have another game in 5+ years
They gave us a fully immersive experience. We felt like we really lived V’s life, and we felt his emotions. Everything felt so real, more than any other game has ever done before.
@@pressrepeat2000fr, when they announced that wasnt gonna have a third person view I didn't knew how to react about it, but now I understand why and I am so grateful abt that choice by them
@@marceloaaps Yeah I hope next one is first person too, and as immersive. When you play third person it feels like your playing someone else… a doll. In this game, it truly felt like you were there. Not a single loading screen either, in the entire game, between gameplay and scripted scenes. A technical marvel for immersion. The writing was a lot of it, of course, as it was amazing, but the fact is they did everything to maximise immersion and the feeling of “you’re V”.
Finishing Phantom Liberty, all i could think about was what other DLC stories we will be missing out on bc the team had to spend 2 years fixing all the game's bugs. 😭😭 Such a great story! Cyberpunk 2 cant come soon enough!
@@DigitalBlasphemyifyI blame the community, they were literally sending death threats for them to release the game already. I think they just gave into the peer pressure and released it. If they were in it for the money, they wouldn’t of focused on a game on the verge of death
@@legitku7611 idk what you mean by that, companies give into peer pressure all the time, especially if your fanbase is threatening you with a bomb to your doorstep
So many great visuals but 4:56 is probably my favorite. V rarely is vulnerable with the only time They she’d tears/are consumed by fear are the after events of the botched heist. Here tho we see V on the verge of a Mental Breakdown curling up into a ball with their hands on their head caught in a conspiracy far bigger than anything they’ve ever been in and becoming trapped inside of it with No Victory or silver lining. Forced to make decisions that ruin lives including the ones of your new close friends and Allies (Which is exactly what happens no matter which of the 4 endings ya get only 1 has some kind of victory but you still suffer a great sacrifice)
I took songbird to the moon… give her the chance to live… a chance that I probably won’t have but I feel like it was the right thing to do.. no matter what she did.. we all deserve to live. This DLC was just pure art..
After she said that she lied to us, i gave her to Reed. I understand that everyone deserves a chance and i really liked Songbird, but we are playing as V and it is in our interest to survive. I will never forgive the lies.

@@itsctapk After she said she lied to us I was even more sure she needs to get on that spaceship. She basically admitted it that I've already suspected because it's a Cyberpunk world, BUT she did admit when she was completely defenseless, tired, counting on you. She could have stayed silent instead she gave you absolute trust with how you decide now.
There's a theory being floated around that AI from beyond the blackwall are pooling the best of the best on the moon - V crashing crystal palace has been a request made by Mr. Blue Eyes, and songbird's informant of the black clinic on the moon being Mr. Blue Eyes as well.
This company is outstanding. I truly hate what happened with the initial release because it was not representative of the technical prowess and detail of this team and the experience they have produced through this game. Truly breathtaking and one of if not the best game Ive ever played and I've played all the greats. What an phenomenal come back like never before seen in gaming. Well done CDProjekt, well done.
To be fair, the initial release had issues, yes, especially on older hardware... But it was already a masterpiece. Or, in any case, it wasn't a NMS. Still, I am only glad CDPR kept adding to it and fine-tuning its mechanics until we got to this point.
I'm not sure I'll ever play a better DLC than Phantom Liberty. The story was absolutely phenomenal. It's been so nice to see Cyberpunk become the game that I thought it could be when I bought it at launch. They've fully redeemed themselves on that one.
This is the first time in a LONG while I've had a video game make me feel this morally and mentally conflicted over what felt right or not, last game to do that was spec-ops the line. Props to everyone at CD:PR, this DLC was amazing
Me too the whole game make you choose and most time you realise the choice are not choosing between right or wrong but more between wich is the least evil of both especialy in phantom liberty where most gigs leave you a moral choice (the one with the Kids sold to sport clubs was especialy tought in the decision to take imo) cdpr really gave us an incredible game shame it started so badly but god how happy i am it turned out good now can't wait for the next one even if it will be in a while
Yeah and the thing is Spec Ops did it with a bit of a forced hand and a few twists that were practically warping of the 4th wall in on itself. Which is interesting and good and all that but, I do like that CPPL does it much more within the actual narrative.
Normal game also did this to me, but this DLC is just another level for some reason, maybe because it's not only about you in the end. But three other people as well
Not getting any more dlcs for this game after this masterpiece just makes me so mad. This game deserves at lest 2 more, imagine if the game had a good launch and how much more stuff would we get it just hurts honestly

That's why I send her to the Moon.
Yup, you try to fuck me over I give your half alive body to Reed lol, a bit too late for feeling sorry for me
@TerminatorZXY that's the thing, he never acted like that didn't apply to him, he simply stated it when V felt betrayed, because the truth is, it's not that black and white.

@@kieranadamson3224i think every ending I've had to the game has made me cry (even the new one) but the ending to phantom liberty was all equal parts "did I do the right thing, what will be the consequences " was very thought provoking. But I don't think I'd do it differently in retrospect.

Which ending is this? I don't remember this line
@@MurihSantosits the new Phantom liberty ending, you have to acquire the neural matrix to get this ending
If CDPR can bring this level of music production, storytelling and writing to Project Orion, we will have an absolute masterpiece istg
Hoping they stick with the same team

Song Bird is such a tragic and heart breaking and sad character, so well written and created too. Mix this with Reeds guilt in being the one who caused most of her pain but conflicted by his devotion to country and serving his master, the very madame president who used Song Bird to the point of destruction. what a story.

True. Also I betrayed so mi so I could use ice breaker.
CDPR said I'd cry, I figured that I wouldn't at least until I'd played Phantom Liberty and gotten invested. But here I am misty eyed and I haven't even gotten to Dog Town yet. Good job Dawid. (Still working on the friendship quests before I start Dog Town. Almost finished though. Just two more for Judy and 3 more for Kerry. River, Panam, and Rogue are all done. I intentionally left Placide alive after our battle. I hope he tries to even the score, since prior to 2.0 he did nothing but send you a warning to watch your back.)
No chance.

Ninja theory do the job as well. CDPR and Ninja are the only one out there for me... @@ryanli8371

So all we got for the future of Cyberpunk is Orion (codename for the next game/sequel, probably 5+ years away) and maybe that live action series.
man oh man i wish there's more. but all we can do is just hoping Project Orion was wayyyy better without any disastrous bug day one + more complicated branched choice
In theory, so as far as a rumor can go, there will be a sequel. But there’s supposed to be a sequel.
I mean the games are being developed simultaneously, but ye, no way we get Orion before 2027/2028
Music Charts statistics always start on Fridays, maybe that's why
God, they turned this game around so hard with pl.
I knew as soon as I was sitting there watching these credits that phantom liberty was one of those campaigns I wish I could wipe my memory of and replay fresh again

I have no idea of what you said brother.. But I agree in every single bit :)
Pravda, amen na to.
Man Dawid Podsiadlo should do next intro to James Bond like... WOW this guy is the GOAT in this genre of music
I finished Phantom Liberty last night, and this song will remind me how amazing Cyberpunk 2077 journey was. Thank you CDPR!
Anyone else back here for their 10th, 20th, etc listen? This is so good
Lost track of the number
It's in my music playlist, now.
Whoever made these visuals deserves a huge raise, this not only sounds great, it looks. Looks like a best music video for this song that encapsulates plot and it's interpretations in couple minutes.
They even made a Grimes music video within the game that's pretty much in the style of a real Grimes music video. They really went the extra mile.
I would've liked the visuals a lot more if they weren't blurred by tears on the first watch. Glad we live in the era where I can get em in HQ on YT!
best story i have ever played in my life.
don't be a face in the crowd.
thank you cdpr for the amazing ride
Not even remotely close for me.

I have been a gamer since 2007 and I have never felt anything similar to playing this game... Extremely brilliant and unique.
Best game ever made.
Try nier automata's credits.
Lmao, they really fumbled the bad. Could've held off on release for a year or two but they were money hungry.
@@DigitalBlasphemyifyexecs hot greedy but yeah I agree
@@DigitalBlasphemyifyI blame the community, they were literally sending death threats for them to release the game already. I think they just gave into the peer pressure and released it. If they were in it for the money, they wouldn’t of focused on a game on the verge of death
@@XxDeathxX509big company giving into peer pressure eh
"I'm just tired of looking the other way" really hits home for me.
Finishing Phantom Liberty was such a bittersweet moment…
I took songbird to the moon… give her the chance to live… a chance that I probably won’t have but I feel like it was the right thing to do.. no matter what she did.. we all deserve to live. This DLC was just pure art..
After she said that she lied to us, i gave her to Reed. I understand that everyone deserves a chance and i really liked Songbird, but we are playing as V and it is in our interest to survive.
I will never forgive the lies.
Same bro :')
foi meu final tambémn! ela queria liberdade . o sonho do jonny de se libertar, ela teve quando foi a lua., pois se libertou do governo de neua. Se ela tivesse ficado, seria uma prisioneira ou cobaia do neua.

I mean there was witcher
@@SKBKERalso came out broken af, also amazing.
But three other people as well
The song and the video show the _real_ Rosalind Myers, the one that So Mi was warning you about and the one that Reed should have turned his back on.
Not getting any more dlcs for this game after this masterpiece just makes me so mad. This game deserves at lest 2 more, imagine if the game had a good launch and how much more stuff would we get it just hurts honestly
well, good news, the devs already moved on to Cyberpunk 2
@@zeezeman yeah but that's going to take a very long time unlike a dlc, plus this game still has so much you can do with it. It was supposed to get 3 dlcs but because of the launch disasster we're getting only one
@@Axyierl Well hey whilst it will probably take years we can at least take comfort from the fact that the next cyberpunk game is out of pre production, and yeah tbh as someone who loved this game since launch I was really really upset the moment they said we weren't getting two expansions anymore (which btw where did you hear three?)
