    Great video. I bought a full grill cover bumper from Move, I've never welded before i have i mig 140 welder. Should i attempt to do this myself or should i pay someone else to do it for me any tips. Subscribed to your channel btw. Thanks for the video.

      The bumpers aren't hard to weld. If you aren't confident in your welding or have the right equipment, then I'd say pay some one to do it for you.

    Bumper looks great! Excellent video. I bought a DV8 bumper and I don’t like it. The 4 led lights point at an angle. They should b straight ahead so u can see but it shows the side of the road on the left side and the next lane on ur right. How idiotic!!! They would let me return it either when I figured this issue out. Ugh another company not standing behind their product.

    Looks really good. Great job, but I would cut the tow plates off, bevel them and run multiple welds on them. The thick metal tow plates are made from is to thick for the single pass of the mig or even an arc welder. Bumper looks awesome.

    Nice job and it looks great. Is that huge MOVE logo cut into the front optional or mandatory? I like the bumper, but really don't like being forced to advertise for stuff I'm paying for.

    • @MakingStuff
      @MakingStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is an option to have a smaller logo in the lower corner of the bumper.

    • @Movebumpers
      @Movebumpers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! As Bob said, we do have an option to shrink and move the bumper. Some customers even choose to fill in the logo during the fabrication process. Check out the site for more info!

      It still looks like it did on day one. I'm really happy with how the bedliner turned out. The complete kit was around $150 and it had enough to do 2 bumpers with plenty left over. Here is a link to it. amzn.to/3hV8z0P

    Great video. I too made my bumpers for front and rear. Really like that raptor liner. How much do you recommend to do the front and back bumpers ? 4 bottle or 6 bottles. Also how much primer did you need for both front and rear bumpers ?
    Thanks

    • @MakingStuff
      @MakingStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      It took two coats of liner for each bumper and each coat took 1 bottle. So for both front and rear bumper it took a total of 4 bottles.

      I used 2 bottles. One for each coat (2 coats). There was about a 1/3 bottle left over each coat.

    Looks great, but what did you do for the inner fender skirts? did you shorten them or re attach them to a different location because they usually attach to the bumper where it curls around to the wheel opening.

    • @MakingStuff
      @MakingStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You must have fast forwarded over that part, lol. I shortened mine but did not reattach them to the bumper. Have had no issues with it flapping in the wind at highway speeds etc.

  • @paulhooker516

    Would last ten to fifteen years longer without the bedliner. Stuff chips and collects nasty stuff in a pocket behind the coating. Don't believe me. Look it up. Powder coating is about the same price without the... extra oxidation.
