Why do women think having a baby will fix their relationship with their man regardless of whether or no he is abusive? History has shown it doesn't make things better, ever. Bringing a child into a strained relationship hurts the child and is selfish! It may make things, briefly ok but, eventually things will get worse. So sad for the bio-parents but this child has no memories of them, has not bonded with them and as an adult she will forever see her kidnapper as her mother and will defend her. She will blame the bio-parents for what happens to her kidnapper. This is a lose lose situation. So very, very sad.

This girl still isn't responsible for her behavior!!!! Until she understands her behavior and works on it this kid is clueless. She may have been very spoiled and no discipline. It’s just always confuses me how some how some way people make it seem it’s Kamiyahs fault that she was taken. She’s not he only mother she’s known regardless of if Glorias love was pure for her or not Kamiyahs love for her is REAL and always will be. Can’t fault her for that and it sucks that the biological mother is more focused on her to not have communication with Gloria instead of being there for her daughter mentally and emotionally. As a mom I would feel some type of way but I’m empathic enough and educated enough to know that if I were in the biological mothers shoes that my baby is broken and needs time to heal and I need to be there for her despite my ill feelings.

This story shows how the system is unbalanced. As a single dad I had to go through all kinds of red tape to get my son’s birth certificate and social security number not to mention register him for school and get full custody. Human and family services offered no help even when I asked them to just point me in the right direction. I told them I don’t want a check or food stamps just to establish paternity and custody for my son. I became so frustrated with their lack of effort to help I cursed them out. They had to sheriffs escort me and me three month old son out. He is eighteen now college bound and doing well. The system is not here for single dads at all!!!
