I think so man its really shoved in our faces it's like they created the bat mobile and 70 percent of the game is just all bat mobile predator was very great too but boss fights became bat mobile and the rest weren't that impressive the only fight that I enjoyed was the king fight and some of the tank battles but after a while the tank battles became too much

tomimn2233 Trust me. EVERYONE wanted a toe-to-toe fight with Deathstroke, like the one in Origins. There were barely any boss fights in this game and the ones they had were awful, generic, batmobile shoot-him-ups or--that's it. The Man-Bat boss fight was stupid too, what they should've done is had his boss fight be like Firefly's from Origins, then a QTE when you weakened him enough, then do it 3 times to beat him, instead, you wait for a Man-Bat mission to randomly pop up on the screen and go to the location and inject him with the cure. Bullshit. Also there were only 2 villains in the actual story, Arkham Knight and Scarecrow. In Asylum we had: Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Bane, and Scarecrow. In City we had Hugo Strange, Ra's Al Ghul, Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-face, Penguin, Solomon Grundy, Mr Freeze, and Clayface. And in Origins we had Black Mask, Joker, Bane, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Electrocutioner, Copperhead, Firefly, Shiva, and Anarchy. See the difference? Awful. Just awful. Other than that, the game's great :P
tomimn2233 When Batman called deathstroke to come to Grand Avenue or where ever, I thought they were going to fight in the middle of the street while thugs are just surrounding them, watching the fight. Of course, we get a bland tank fight instead.
Emerald Alien well technically, Penguin was also in the main story in Arkham Knight, for a brief minute. Harley made it in the main story as well, though one button and then she's defeated.

Arkham Knight was a good game in terms of gameplay and story minus the batmobile use. I’d say the best boss fight was probably the Riddler. Bruce and Selina working together to take down Nygma was good. If we’re talking about DLC then I’d say either the Nightwing boss from Harley Quinn DLC or Joker and Harley boss from Batgirl DLC.
And then Batman stops at the GCPD and Strokey does nothing. The writers messed this one up.

Seriously? Another Tank fight? It could literally be anyone in that tank. Deathstroke deserves a hand to hand fight sequence. So did the Arkham Knight. Rocksteady really put way too much effort into the Batmobile missions. So disheartening :(

Marco Polo So did I, it made the fight more difficult but not impossible. Death strokes moves were pretty repititionous and it wasn't terribly hard to counter some of his other attacks either.

Same here. Looked for a single bomb that I couldn't find for like 3 days to fight him, and this is what we got. And you could probably tell how much it disappointed me based on my name.

I find it almost personally offensive, all the build-up to fight deathstroke, one of Batman's toughest foes, to be an epic triumphant last battle between the two. But no. A tank fight for the 70th time, and then he gets knocked out in one punch.

@@FF7lover10207 This battle was a lot easier than the arkham knight battle imo. The main tank wasn't too overpowered like in the AK battle, and you didn't have to hit and retreat all the time

I was so happy they brought back Deathstroke. You can imagine my disapointment when I found out he was just a tank boss. The same can be said of the Arkham Knight boss fight. Who am I kidding that shouldn't even be considered a boss fight.

SilentAssassin927 All of them were terrible, i don't mind fighing deathstroke in a tank but i was expecting when he would get out of it they would fight one vs one, arkham knight was ok but they should have added a fist fight, azrael the assassin that learned all the moves and tricks of batman is defeated so easily, firefly for me was the worst I would like an aerial fight (for example I remember watching in batman series when batman used a jetpack to fight firefly,just imagine in the air avoiding his fire and throwing batrangs to him and then in the final destroy his jetpack and diving into the batmobile), come on three or four hits and repeat, pyg was good, penguin was meh but he is penguin, two face should have been like in arkham city when it didn't just one takedown to defeat him, man bat was horrible just like firefly, that religious guy should had put more of a fight, hush was a disappointment all that hype for nothing, would loved to see killer croc in the game such as deadshot, maybe scarface and blackmask. And don't even mention nigtwing and Harley.
hitdoctor24 i agree with you on the excavator fight, that fight was the only bat-mobile fight that had me excited and genuinely scared to mess up, meantime things like the cloudburst, and this fight we just saw was just. *drive around* hey look he doesnt see me! *click* done! *drive away and repeat*. this games boss fights were genuine dissapointments, the game however was pretty good, the plotline was gripping and all, A+ on the game in general, F- on some of the bossfights.

Anibal Morales you literally follow a simple pattern... WAYYYYYY to easy. He does an attack and you counter it, beat him, he jumps around then rinse and repeat

I agree it's a good game but the boss fights are almost non existent. In city you had Freeze, Grundy/penguin, clay face just to name a few. In AK there's only a few half arsed ones. Very underwhelming

Keep in mind, Deathstroke has one of the most tactical minds in DC, so seeing Batman survive all his planning had to have angered him, only for Batman, who is far stronger than he was in origins, to catch him off guard and knock him out. With that being said.... WHY?!

The over use of the Batmobile was a huge issue for me in this game.
The boss fights were lacking to me as well, especially this fight and the arkham knight fight because for one Deathstroke has beat Batman more times than he has lost in hand to hand...and Jason Todd is quite skilled in hand to hand combat himself..those two fights could have been done way better. Batmobile ruined lots of the game in my opinion.
I feel like rocksteady was tryna compensate for the lack of batmobile in the other games

I don't get it? You get to fight Arkham Knight SEVERAL times throughout the entire game. I enjoyed the boss fight (mostly because I enjoy playing stealth games more than usual), but even though it wasn't combat.. I didn't find it disappointing. At least not as disappointing as the Deathstroke boss fight.
Arkham Asylum's final boss fight was the same, and so was arkham city's (hugo strange's final boss fight at least). And everyone LOVED those games. I don't see the big deal?

Arkham knight Batman is way too op IMO. Not only can he take on over 50 guys at once with brute strength over strategy, he also drives a literal tank, and can knock out deathstroke with a single punch.
And he can even say the words: “You had your chance. It’s over.” in that tone and voice. Like no one else can do that Batman truly is the best😂😂
If this boss WAS a legit one-on-one battle, imagine how cool it would look in the middle of a Times Square lit area like this! He would just have to set up a blockade so you wouldn't cross anywhere. He could leap off of the buildings and we would have the "boss-slashing-at-you-while-you-block-him-until-it's-time-for-you-to-give-him-the-Beatdown" thing from Arkham Origins. So many opportunities are open when it comes to a Batman: Arkham boss battle! What's so hard about making a boss battle?! In Arkham City, the Batman vs Ras Al Ghul boss fight was just amazing! Arkham Origins wasn't even made by Rocksteady and the Batman vs Deathstroke boss was polished to perfection. Sure, his appearance was short-lived but at least we got something awesome out of it. But in this game, he was beaten WAY too easily. I would have excepted it if it was just a random power hungry Militia commander. But not when it's Deathstroke. Same thing with the Arkham Knight. He was one of the main villains! We were all eager to face him in single combat. Man to man. Knight to Knight. Well, at least after facing him in a helicopter (that he remotely controlled), a fucking tank, and a MOTHER FUCKING DRILL!!!! And finally, what do we get? A stealth battle. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! I don't necessarily hate the game for this. In fact, I think it's awesome. But this...this is just unacceptable.
AJcaraballo95 yeah I agree with you on the stealth part when batman fights Jason because Jason realistically he can be smart enough to spot batman. I mean was expecting Jason and batman fighting in hand to hand like the animated movie under the red hood, but no, instead we'll be using stealth against one person who is part of the bat family to not being able to spot batman. I agree, it's embarrassing
It kind of ruins the game for me... Like it just would have been so easy to throw in at least one real boss fight. There's like 20 boss tank battles, but not one hand to hand boss fight, besides riddler that you only unlock after finding EVERY trophy and even then it's still a pretty lame fight. Sure it's still a good game, but decisions like that hold it back from being great like AC.

Deathstroke is not Deadshot he doesn't need backup. If he says one on one...he's going to fight them one on one and usually wins.

Rocksteady puts one of the best bosses in Arkham Knight and then puts it into a quick tank battle..........really, with Deathstroke it should have been one vs one original.
I remembered vividly during the first time when I played this, the moment when Bats jumped at Deathstroke in that scene, I had goose bump.. Well, that was easily the most short-lived goose bump I've ever had in this lifetime.
Man. And I thought Deathstroke's appearance in Origins was disappointing. This has given me a new appreciation for Arkham Origins...

Bruce Wayne I wasn't talking about the character design. I was talking about his appearance as in what he did in the game. In Origins, Deathstroke was advertised as one of the two main enemies of the game (along with Black Mask, and we know how that turned out as well). Yet he was like the second boss fought, and after he was beaten once, he was gone for the rest of the game. It was bullshit.
But even that was better than this. I mean, wow. World's greatest assassin, not only decides he wants to kill Batman without it even being a contract... for some reason, but he tries to do so so in a huge fucking tank, then gets beaten in one punch. Jeezus. I hope they release some kind of DLC for Deathstroke to make for this, because this is just a shameful way to treat this character.

I think it would've been cool if Slade was able to catch Batman off guard once they got to the GCPD, like Bruce did to him initially. Then they have a full hand-to-hand fight. Speaking of encounters, I would've liked if the final showdown with Jason, had heavily included Nightwing & Robin; have it be a family affair. Despite that though, I still think this game is beautiful & a perfect conclusion to the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy.
They hashed out this shit car too much, Rocksteady I expected more then just stupid annoying tank fights with your overpowered tank

It's quite ironic that the world's greatest assassin would be using a tank. Whatever happened to the great effort of planning every detail of an assassination, especially the detail of surprise? With a tank, you'd pretty much just improvise your way through by using every gun you have until you're defeated by anti-tank countermeasures. Add in the fact that Deathstroke's tank has got to be the loudest manned vehicle in Gotham, and you've got a recipe for disaster for an assassin like him.

Well that was extremely disappointing...Also Deathstroke's costume literally looks like it was just taken from Origins, it seems almost identical. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually is the same fucking model. Such a shame.

He's stronger, faster, and has years of experience on him. Under no circumstances should he lose in a one on one fight. If anything Batman should use Deathstroke as inspiration to step up his game.

Man I wished this fight would have been better, when Deathstroke said he wanted a one on one fight, I was expecting a badass confrontation with hand to hand combat and seeing Deathstroke giving it everything he had to try and defeat Batman, instead I got a tank battle that lasted about 5 minutes and was way to easy ON THE HARDEST DIFFICULTY, unacceptable Rocksteady, Deathstroke is way to badass to be reduced to a mediocre tank mission.
If you actually got to fight deathstroke after the tank battle I guarantee people would’ve loved this game more, it would’ve been the one shining grace after doing so many annoying tank sections you get to have an awesome combat boss fight to be the ultimate test of your combat skills thus far in the franchise
It wasn't even a boss fight. It was Slade hiding in a tank surrounded by his bodyguards, getting punched once and then getting chucked in jail.

You have to remember that this is (At least to me) batman in his finest form.His most perfect level.His newest breakthrough in his limitations that come with being a human.
His batmobile has become a work of art.An insurmountably useful tool.A weapon in its self.
It is his magnum opus.His master piece.
Think about it...In origins he was angry inexperienced and didnt know what he was up against and he still beat death stroke.
So considering just how much of a legend he is at this point and how hes so used to what he does and how much he has invested into it and how far hes taken it...Well.
Its no surprise to me that he literally makes a fool out of anyone.Even if there bad ass themselvs like death stroke.
The only downer here is that usually when batman is at his best like this.It means he might die at the end.But not before winning it all.

I mean look at others hack and Slash games: in Devil may cry 3 Vergil Beats dante like it was nothing... In Metal Gear Rising jet stream Sam cuts raiden's arm... That make You vulnerable as a Player and The story have a Lot of sense put into it that way... Look what Arkham origins Made with Bane... You playing as Batman was scared of what would come next... You don't Even know if Bane would break Batman in two in The black gate Prison...
Thats why i consider Arkham knight to be a failed sequel.... Bosses are as important as The Main character, specially if we Are talking about equals. (Like batman and deathstroke)

This was the laziest underwhelming crappy boss fight I've ever experienced in any game, especially after that long build up of taking out all the watch towers and drones, to have bats fight him in a tank and then one punch k.o him, what a joke, shame on you rocksteady, origins did it better

Deathstroke doesn't need his weapons to kick ass. That would've been an amazing moment to surprise us with a hand to hand deathstroke fight. Cmon rocksteady. You really fucked up this one. Waugh toooo much focus on the batmobile. Glad I didn't go through the trouble of doing this side mission myself. This would've been a massive disappointment if I had done it considering deathstroke is one of my favorite all time DC characters.

I'd like to imagine an idea where the moment Deathstroke is inside GCPD, he pulls a trick from his sleeve to escape and release the Arkham inmates. Then batman not just have to fight all the thugs he's jailed at that point of the game, but have a one on one with Deathstroke also either after or during the thug fights.
Pretty ironic how Deathstroke wanted a one-on-one fight and kept whining about Batman using his car and gadgets and whatnot, and then next thing you know, he's fighting Batman with state-of-the-art tanks. GG Rocksteady.
Everyone we should all write to rocksteady and tell them that they should throw out a dlc that allows you to fight certain characters hand to hand who is with me?? Change starts with us

I am dissapointed. I was expecting more of a challenge, once Deathstroke's tank was destroyed. I was expecting something like this: Batman leaves the batmobile and want to check the tank. But then, Deathstroke appear out of nowhere, short talk and we start the battle on the street. After a while Slade starts to run to change his tactic aganist Dark Knight and so the chase starts, where we follow Slade, even running on the rooftops to got into another battle and then we could've caught him. But what we got instead... man, that's just sad.
