memetic, i guess. So much so, they got him to play Batman in many other animated movies. This is also my favorite suit. Very realistic looking. Even more so than The Dark Knight
MemeyLoaf origins is my favorite Arkham game. City was amazing and had better side missions but I just never really found myself bored with origins’ story. The story was great and I felt that it didn’t really need side missions . It just checked all the right boxes for me. Really sucks that it was overlooked by so many people.
I'm going against popular opinion here and saying that Origins did NOT suck. This game was spectacular. Phenomenal voice acting, (for those of you wondering, the man who voiced Gordon also voiced Jarl Bulgruuf and other characters in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim), great gameplay, fantastic plot, and honestly, it was thrilling experience that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Was it annoying how this game was supposed to be about Black Mask and instead turned attention to Joker? Maybe. But what you all clearly seem to forget is that this is a PREQUEL. A prequel to what? You guessed it, Arkham Asylum. The beginning of Asylum shows the Joker being wheeled into the damn place laughing and doing his normal routine of being a smart mouthing jackass. I can't be the only one who sat there and thought "How did he get in there in the first place? Why did they suddenly decide to fix up and put the asylum back in working order again? Well, Arkham Origins explains just that. Yes, there were flaws. Every game has them. But seriously, if every gamer was able to look past obvious flaws that basically every game was going to have, then there would be so many less arguments. The raw emotion of a younger Bruce was something that tugged at my heart, especially the scene where he returned to the Batcave frantic to find Alfred. His reaction to Alfred's death broke my heart, because he had lost someone who is, without a doubt, like a father to him. You could hear the broken, shattered emotion in his voice when he shouted "NO!", which was an indication that he wasn't going to let Alfred just die like that. He would bring him back. And on the topic of how the Joker looked like he aged from twenty to seventy in the span of about 5-10 years, the answer's simple; Insanity is one hell of a drug. Stress is HUGE factor as well. Don't think the Joker is stressed? I'll bet you a hell of a lot that he is. Sure, he's not stressed about paying his bills to keep his electricity on, or being able to afford taxes, but he's more stressed about his next big plan on what the best way to destroy Gotham is and how to kill "The Bat". Who knows what made the Joker so batshit (no pun intended) crazy, but really, what makes anyone tick these days? And to those who can't run the game because it keeps crashing, the FPS sucks, or anything involving graphics, there's a simple answer to that; Either your computer's graphics card can't handle it, or you're trying to run a near next-gen game on a potato. Origins doesn't get NEAR the amount of praise that it damn well should, because it was a fucking amazing game. If you still don't like it, fine, everyone has their own opinion on it. But to me, Origins was the best one of the series and I'm hyped to see what Arkham Knight has in store for us next year.
Dude your singing the praises to my "sermon on a mount", that's exactly what I'm saying, this game delivers on so many levels narrative wise and I bet if this were the first in the arkham series people would've hailed this game the way they did AA ...but to each his own I guess :/
I feel that’s why Harley is in love with him. She thinks that he can relate to her and that he really loves her, but in reality, he relates more to Batman and treats Harley as another henchman to use and abuse
She is a desperate geek so she is looking for love and should have been evaluated before going into such a job at Arkham Asylum. She is too emotionally unstable for that position.
The way Batman ends the fight with Deathstroke is my fucking favorite bit of animation in this entire game. The way he whips that roundhouse kick is so fucking athletic I love it.
Yeah. I had a good time fighting Slade. It was just two skillful men in a giant room in an old-fashioned brawl. No sneaking around, fighting with petty thugs before, or any other gimmicks. Just me and Slade, battling it out.
50:29 Did that henchman really yell "wait wait wait wait wait !" just a split second before Batsy punched his lights out ? Guy missed his calling as a comedian
You edited this story together really well, Andy. Despite that this game was rated the lowest, it has more views than any of the other Arkham movie, thus proving that Arkham Origins has one of the best batman story lines ever.
When I was playing I didn't want to attack him cuz I thought he was strong so I waited to see what he could do.......two minutes later nothing happens so I punch......then I start laughing
Bane was really intimidating in this game. The music in the hotel fight, how you could literally hear Batman's arm bending when he grabbed him, everytime the guy moved he smashed something, but he never came across as the lumbering dumbass he was in asylum.
Yes. A lot of people I know that play he Arkham games get confused because they play them in the order that they were made. I try to explain to them, but sometimes they already just stop playing Arkham games because it doesn't make any sense.
ive got to say i love how you string these things together, turning normally jumped apart cutscenes into full, entertaining movies via the use of expertly chosen gameplay footage, well done
That sound at 2:15:13. when Joker smiles. Until now I thought it was just a "magnified" sound of his face stretching into a grin. But I just realzied it might be Harley loosening the straps that held him down. He basically brainwashed her into setting him free - and he's just grinning because she just did it.
Now that, is some serious labor, exertion or whatever you wanna call it but that's what it is.. It might be simple to do editing stuff on videos but this is beyond that. All the hard work you did is deeply appreciated, just know that.
big fan of Andy Gs' work....... cant say enough about all the edit and production to make these game clips come together in a way no one ever has before!!! Reminds me of BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES.
I love the detail of Bane ear clapping in a physical fight just like Batman in his introduction, hinting at just how good of match he can be for the Bat, in more ways than one.
Nicholai Austrenzo Lol for some reason I thought you were talking about Spider-man and got confused. 3 is also a good movie though, but I just love 2, especially with that ending!
That's interesting because I beat Copperhead a LOT faster to beat than Slade. It took me many tries to beat Slade. I call Deathstroke,Slade because that's his name in the old Teen Titans show.
Joe Will I was referring to the cutscenes where Copperhead was able to strike Batman multiple times yet somehow Deathstroke (who has beaten Batman as well as multiple Justice League members in the comics) couldn't land a hit.
***** She had an advantage that Slade didn't have, she poisoned Bruce before the fight. By the time they actually fought the venom had already weakened him considerably and most of the attacks he takes in the fight are from the venom itself.
+bluhmer1990 After playing the game i honestly thought it would've been better if Deathstroke was saved until more towards the end of the game, since he's the best assassin in DC.
The one thing that upset me was that the Riddler wasn't in this clip. He's my favorite Batman villain, just the version in the Arkham videos. 3:06:51-Bane needs a breath mint the size of a football 3:12:15-There is no way any man can take a beating like that
BATMAN is one of the best crime-fighting superheroes known to date. He doesn't have superpowers, but he has the best high-tech weapons and vehicles and over 127 different fighting skills.
I prefer Troy's joker way more than Hamill's. Hamill's joker to me isn't the joker that comes up to my mind whenever I hear the villain's name, his joker just resembles some old scary clown IMO. Also, the joker is supposed to be awkwardly funny with his strange behavior which Troy's joker succeeded perfectly. Very underrated indeed.
Asylum - best story in terms of balance and timing - game play was amazing for the time - does become dull at times from backtracking but still fun experience 8/10 City - awesome but convoluted story w/ lots of characters - improved overall gameplay - open world mechanic was amazing - definitely the best one 9/10 Origins - story was compelling but clichéd af - game play was slightly enhanced - different unique and most boss fights - voice actors did a good job - some bugs but still an awesome game 8.5/10 Arkham knight - have barely played but from what I've seen and heard - awesome game in terms of game play and batmobile mechanics are sick - the story is okay and they are in desperate need of Dlc for fan favourite characters such as killer croc, freeze etc - overuse of batmobile Overall still a sick game 8.5-9/10 All these games are insanely fun and definitely worth buying but it's up to you to decide which one is the best.

I'm more of a Marvel guy but I love Batman.Iove him more as a character more than a super hero excluding that of the DC universe. That is the main reason I love the Arkham games SOOO much
People may complain that cutscenes cut together don't make it a movie, but idc. If i'm willing to watch this as such, it is a movie to me. The length of it let me and my gf sit back and relax while this played on the tv. I played the other two games and loved them, but sadly missed my chance to play this one since we upgraded to a ps4 for arkham knight and mgsV, so i thank you for letting me enjoy this still. Was great.
Really nice work putting this game together as a movie. I just ran out of Batman movies to watch, and I have no means of playing this game myself, so it was a welcome treat that I don't have to experience this particular story as just a "let's play". Thanks!
Hey, I haven't played the game yet, so I just got spoiled! Actually eh, I don't mind. The thing I cared about was giving Black Mask his proper treatment in the game, but NO. THEY MAKE ROMAN SIONIS SNIVEL IN FEAR BEGGING RED HOOD FOR HIS LIFE, AND THEY LAUNCH HIM THROUGH A WINDOW. It's like the Series is trying to piss Black Mask fans off.
Mr. Fedora I agree, I'm glad that they're starting to give the "smaller villians", as in not the major guys like penguin, two face, joker, more of an impact on the story, like having black mask be the main antagonist.
+Mr. Fedora Although, the Blackgate riot at the end is my favorite part of any of the Batman games. The writing on the walls about how he could have prevented this really resonated.
This game portrays batman alot better than the comics could ever had and the person who did the voice did an exceptional job why is people saying this is a bad game?
I think the problem with a lot of the modern Batman comics is that they try too hard to make him dark and edgy. I miss the days when he could be dark & edgy, but could also crack a smile from time to time like in "The Batman" and even the early episodes of Batman TAS.
I mean of course it sounds cool, but realistically you wouldn't have much room to fly or to go anywhere really. it only really makes sense as fast travel

May 2024. This is still better than most movies. I LOVED THIS GAME!
🤘🏼🍿🍿🤘🏼
And on the topic of how the Joker looked like he aged from twenty to seventy in the span of about 5-10 years, the answer's simple;
Insanity is one hell of a drug.
And to those who can't run the game because it keeps crashing, the FPS sucks, or anything involving graphics, there's a simple answer to that;
Either your computer's graphics card can't handle it, or you're trying to run a near next-gen game on a potato.
Origins doesn't get NEAR the amount of praise that it damn well should, because it was a fucking amazing game. If you still don't like it, fine, everyone has their own opinion on it. But to me, Origins was the best one of the series and I'm hyped to see what Arkham Knight has in store for us next year.
Dude your singing the praises to my "sermon on a mount", that's exactly what I'm saying, this game delivers on so many levels narrative wise and I bet if this were the first in the arkham series people would've hailed this game the way they did AA ...but to each his own I guess :/

i find it funny how joker is talking how he feels related to batman and Harley thinks he's talking about her
I feel that’s why Harley is in love with him. She thinks that he can relate to her and that he really loves her, but in reality, he relates more to Batman and treats Harley as another henchman to use and abuse
Austin Martens well in some universes...in others joker actually cares about Harley
She is a desperate geek so she is looking for love and should have been evaluated before going into such a job at Arkham Asylum. She is too emotionally unstable for that position.

That sound at 2:15:13. when Joker smiles. Until now I thought it was just a "magnified" sound of his face stretching into a grin. These movies are great, I grew up reading D.C.comics since 1960's
The fact that Copperhead put up a better fight than Deathstroke is ridiculous.
Grand Moff Tarkin I couldn't agree more.

BATMAN is one of the best crime-fighting superheroes known to date. He doesn't have superpowers, but he has the best high-tech weapons and vehicles and over 127 different fighting skills.
Troy Baker is underrated as Joker. Sure he's no Hamill, but he's not bad.
ʙʀᴀɴᴅᴏɴ ᴍɪʟʟᴇʀ I don't care for his Joker much, personally
When it comes to voice acting I think Troy Baker did a terrific job of catching the essence of Hamil, but Hamil is still the classic

This game portrays batman alot better than the comics could ever had and the person who did the voice did an exceptional job
why is people saying this is a bad game?
LaQuan Reynolds I don't think this will ever portray bat man more better than the comics because the comics started it all
I think the main complaint is more about redundancy than anything else.
I think the problem with a lot of the modern Batman comics is that they try too hard to make him dark and edgy. I miss the days when he could be dark & edgy, but could also crack a smile from time to time like in "The Batman" and even the early episodes of Batman TAS.
I wish rocksteady will allow us to commandeer the batwing this time
