Just put him on work duty for everything. He's beefy as hell now, so there shouldn't be problems. If he dies, you get justice. He can get all the meat while you sit back. Don't need iceboxes when you can get infinite meat.

Well, considering there is a big handful of folk that keep suggesting it I guess it is something I should really look into!
What about farms and something about basic things like sanity and hunger? I sometimes struggle with it and feel lost xD

.Night, Dusk, being wet, or being in the dark all reduce your sanity. This means times when days are short, your sanity will be harder to manage.
Do your best to stay dry.
..Cooked foods generally give more hunger benefit than raw foods, cook whenever possible. Exceptions include mushrooms which have differing effects and corn which gets worse when cooked over fire.
.. A cooked Green mushroom will restore 15 sanity at the cost of 1 health, while a cooked blue will restore 10 at the cost of 3 health. Both cause sanity loss when eaten raw, but a raw blue will restore 20 health.
.. Crock Pot foods restore at least 5 sanity per item, and almost always provide more hunger benefit than eating the ingredients separately. In addition a few key recipes (like fish sticks) can really help in healing. Build a crock pot early.
In general sweet foods like taffy and pumpkin cookies give more sanity benefits.
..Whenever you prototype a new item, you get a sanity boost, so don't prototype everything as soon as possible. Pace yourself and prototype only what you need. In this way you can prototype that hay wall when you just need a little extra sanity.
..Friendly Pigs give a sanity boost, so get one chopping down trees for you and then just stand by its side. And if it settles down to sleep near your campfire, give it a little cuddle.
..Some clothing items increase your sanity regeneration, so a silk top hat and dapper vest and floral shirt are good choices and also protect you some from wet, cold, and heat respectively. - repairing clothing is cheaper than crafting new ones, so make a sewing kit as well.
..Glommer (that's GLOM not gloam nor gloom)
Is a great friend, find his statue and pick the flower during a full moon to have him glom onto you and give a sanity boost while near.
- Definition 'Glom' : become stuck or attached to.
.. Some characters can gain sanity in unique ways (such as Wilson gaining 10 sanity when he shaves). And others lose sanity faster in certain situations (Wolfgang loses sanity faster in the dark). Be familiar with your character's strengths and weaknesses.
.. If all else fails, you can craft a straw roll and sleep to regain sanity at the cost of hunger.

one time I was confuse why all the gears are scattered all over the place, turns out (maybe) a bishop accidentally shoot one of them and started a war (enraged bees also joined).

If you haven't already, you can always try messing with the world settings to make things more challenging. Take, for instance, a permanent-night world. I'm probably not the most experienced player around, but I still know my stuff pretty well and that's still fairly challenging.
If you've already been there and done that, I'm not really sure what to suggest except to see if any new mods are worth your time. Beard and the discord would probably have more suggestions for you.

Speaking of the ruins, what happened to the world gen....
In the ROT beta the ruins generation is completely messed up, in one world the ruins was split up into 5 pieces which were completely scattered around the entire underground. Before, the entire ruins would appear before the splumonkey village and would be easy to locate and now I gotta uncover the entire underground to find the pseudoscience machine.

I want to build a gear farm for WX-78
simply make the sculptures next to bunnyman huts and wait full moon
I guess the bishops are the best for this porpuse, since the rook destroys the huts and the knight can kite some bunny bites, also bishops drop the purple gems
I haven't seen this tactic anywhere, sooooo... am I missing something? or just the duty doesn't worth it?

Can the chess piece sculptures (post potters wheel) be used to spawn more clockworks?
I don't have caves enabled so gears are unrenewable for me and I don't wish to have mods that allow me to craft them. One of my mods lets me buy them for an absurd amount of currency, but I don't buy them either due to their high price and overall numbers needed for crafting.
TL;DR
Need a way to get more surface gears without a mod. Do the player made sculptures respawn clockworks on full moon?
Ah I know! A video about the most simple but surprisingly useful thing for your base that gets stronger the more people that hang around one... Flowers!
