My local Hobby Lobby does have it in several colors on the bolt, and it's available on their website, but I have heard they are closing out some of the less popular ones for in-store purchase. Some Wal-Mart stores also have it in packages that are about the size of a classroom door. As far as strength, this is the same fabric the re-usable bags you get at the grocery store are made of.
