I am an 86 yr old 30 Hcp. Just purchased a used Big Bertha B21, 12.5 degree, 33.75" length driver. First time out today. Hit it 20 yards further than my old Callaway driver. Amazing club.
Great to see your set up at Ashbury ready to go. I like the fact that your reviews are based on a golfer that has a “high fade” rather than a pro who hits it straight every time.
Really helpful video Lee. I am an average golfer with a block/slice bad shot. Have swapped in my Tensei Blue AV 75 Stiff from my Mavrik Sub Zero into a BBertha. To the extent it helps anyone who has a slower swing speed on the spin question you raise, my average numbers with it on a 10.5 degree head, knocked down to 9.5 are: - 100mph club speed, 230 carry, 12 degree launch angle, 2,660 spin. 252 carry on my best strike. The comparison on my Sub Zero with same settings (weight back): - Same club speed, 234 carry, 13 degree launch angle, 2,550 spin. 256 carry on my best strike. Can't wait for ranges to open to see if i get better dispersion (will try draw setting like you Lee) as if so it is definitely going in the bag!
Hi Lee, great video again 👍 Is the spin just down to your club speed ? I wouldn’t of thought your the market they would’ve aimed this club at ! Surely a slower club swinger !!! 👍
With you being a Callaway fan would it be worth you using the Callaway Mavrik Max? That may bring your spin up and you can adjust the hosel to drawer setting. Great video
Just picked one up. With the 55 shaft I was getting 108 CHS, and 3000+ on the spin in the Golf Galaxy simulator. Overall pleased with the upgrade over my 2007 Ping Rapture. Simulator said a carry avg of 265-270. Even with a wild swing which I normally slice like crazy it tamed it down to a high fade but still within play.
At address bend your lead wrist a bit towards the target, then swing keeping the bend. It gets rid of my my push fade. I added 20 gm of lead tape to the heel of my Cleveland HB Turbo to assist with closing the club face and feeling where the head is.
Hi lee I have the b21. Try going 1 inch shorter in the stiff shaft. That’s what I did dispersion was tighter and spin came up And hitting longer. Great vid and great set up. Well done hopefully be in Ashbury soon.
You should try the ventus red stiiff , that should be the combo your looking for,,,, 65 or 75 it will work.. yes I use this driver. Tip an evenflow red 65 stiff 1 inch. That's what I use. Can't afford the velecore yet. Good luck ,,,have faith in your swing.
I do like the look of the new Big Bertha. I’m sure they do a 7 wood and would be useful if you could see what is the best 7 wood out there. T he have a vs against the best hybrid to finally see what is best🤔
Yes I've got it,, mate has it absolutely fairway finder,, takes the right side out of play,, both love it,, as long that you put a good swing on it,,, more you use,, can learn what it does,,, low spin yes please,, cheers Alan 🤔👍😂
Haha i went in to buy this before i bagged the Cleveland woods Lee and i hated it. Distance was way down on my old driver and guess what i too faded or cut this badly
Na thought you were straight as a die with the driver ( Dan’s vids)😁This seemed still to be better than most on dispersion when you have hit a bad one including your current driver , with A bit more fitting wouldn’t be to bad I think , forget distance just think how many shots you’ll save from playing of the correct fairways 🤪
Hilarious, you hit one shot, "No its rubbish"!! hahaha. then you settle in a bit, 30 shots minimum, before you can really judge eh? Its always the "Indian" never the arrows, I have a feeling that you love a new shiny and that you have to test a few more yet!!!
You’re not really a slicer, Lee, from what I’ve seen. You’re certainly known to hook it, but the miss right is a push: just a plain old open face, not a cut across out to in swing.
Who is playing the B21 Driver?
Me

A fine review and thank you for thinking about all golfers and not just the ones with 125 club head speed.

Lee I have a Big Bertha B21. I do have problems with it. I went from having a miss right to now hooking it.
Interesting to see you try it out. Can you explain standard deviation sometime.
Keep at it mate ! Lovely content and great honesty ,you have got my admiration 👍
Great video what about a test versus Ping G425 Max and the Cleveland HB Launcher? Using Srixon Z355 at the moment and surprisingly good.
Will be once my g425 come in mate 👍
I may swap my driver this year . . . I’m really not sure why, I always get fitted and this v-log show just why that is necessary 👍
Head to Head with the Cleveland
And I think that’s what a lot of it is about feel

Maybe see you soon 👍
Wouldn't the Epic max in the draw setting suit you better, it will definitely be be on my list to test.
good review shows how important club fitting is

I’m curious Lee was the Cleveland you tested the draw bias version or the standard? I think they have the 2 options.
Standard mate

"Rubbish Toe Strike" for 282 yards...give me one of those!!!

At least you tried! You certainly will have the best driver for you when your all done 👍
Try the G425 SFT. It’s MyGolfSpy’s best driver for a slice winner.
Haha i went in to buy this before i bagged the Cleveland woods Lee and i hated it. Distance was way down on my old driver and guess what i too faded or cut this badly
Time to trade my Rogue, good review thanks Lee.
Really think I would love this club
Good vid, still like the TSi3, and no I’m not a Titleist rep 😂
TXG golf had better luck stopping slice with the ping G425 because of the weight movement

Sounds nice.
HB Launcher still undefeated.
Good review. I think there are better drivers out there for you.
Stick with the Cleveland Lee

Just a few more 😂

It’s not for you, sorry…
Head to Head with the Cleveland
