For me the greatest crew battle Ever Was at a tournament in south-west France, the tournament drew in some players from the spain and more importantly for this story, players from Toulouse regarded as the biggest scene in france and the second best behind Paris, for the fun of it a crew battle was decided between the local players and the ones from Toulouse. The crew battle started and quickly the locals were getting stomped out, it was like 3 out of 5 players lost to one from toulouse before getting taken out, and the fourth one lost soon after, so it was down to the last one who was a player by the name of Barloche he was most known for hi pokemon trainer and one of the best players in the area, but he had to win against the 4 last players from Toulouse, and then he picks Luigi, everyone knew what his plan was, and it's exactly what happened, i don't know why but i guess toulouse doesn't know how to sdi for shit because out of the like 10 stocks they had like half were taken by the 0 to death. I remember the last match was against a ness player and two stocks were grabs into death. I still remembers how hilarious it was that not even the best player from the area cheesed his way to a comeback against the largely superior region. Everyone was screaming, probably favorite memory of smash.
Imagine having to steal slims rhyme scheme and beats to make a diss track for a smash scene you dislike?? And at that not even putting in the effort to refine the track. Shame.
As someone whose tweet got used for the vid, I'll say that the "biased PR" thing is a lot more nuanced than presented here- SJ players don't often make PR because data to rank them doesn't often exist. Due to the distance, the metrics normally used for rankings like head-to-heads between contenders or results at the same events just isn't there between SJ and other Jersey players in the quantities necessary to reliably rank them. It does suck, but that's why the SJ PR exists in the first place, and when that data does exist for SJ players, they get ranked- there's not an actual bias.
