    Uplift desk is a great option for sure. I did MONTHS of research before going with them. Felt like they offered the most with warranty, price, customization, build quality, and positive independent reviews. Been using mine for about 1.5 years now and I still love it.
    They also have great customer service. I contacted them with very detailed and specific questions and they had no problem answering. You could tell they REALLY know their product. Plus they're based in Texas.

      At no point can you even see the desk lol
      This is a terrible video. The talking is cool but at no point did he show the entire layout to see if you would even want if. What if the cables on top are still junk? What if there is a lack of depth? What if the keyboard is too close to the monitors ? None of this you can view.
      Where are the grommets located exactly? How are the wires ran down? So many questions

  • @mu2freighter

    This is helpful beyond belief!
    I'm disabled, in a power wheelchair with just one hand working, so the ability to precisely set the height is essential just in general. Sometimes I want to scoot in, but the wheelchair's controller sits a couple of inches higher than the armrests, so being able to raise the desk just above that is incredibly valuable. Just as useful is the ability to raise the desk up so high that I can drive myself in under it to adjust cables, perhaps also reach the PC's ports if I go with the underside tower holder for the single gaming PC I plan to use. Win, win, win.
    Last, I was originally planning to spring for the 4-leg version of the desk to avoid any wobbling, in the same 72X30 size you use here. After seeing the way you specifically addressed this concern in your video, though, I'm seriously reconsidering this.
    Not only would it save a bunch of complexity and clutter, especially at the outer corner where I'll be frequently moving around in my wheelchair, but being in the sorry shape I am I'm going to have to enlist some friends to assemble and set up the desk...and this iteration is _far_ less heavy and clumsy to set up, so it shouldn't be a completely miserable experience for my friends helping me.
    Thanks so much for making this vid!

  • @DogHairDontCare

    Solid review. What's most impressive with this desk per spec is that not only does it support the tall guys like you, but it actually goes low enough for proper ergonomic height for sitting for shorter people. That means this desk will work most people.
    I originally passed this desk up due to cost compared to competitors; however, after looking at height ranges, this is literally the only desk that will work for me. It's better to know that my only option is highest quality than to know that my only option is the cheap one that might suck. Guess it'll be my investment of the year.

    I bought the V2 Commercial 4-Leg Uplift desk and I love it. Like a lot of people these days, my company went all remote so I had to use my home office 100% of the time. My back was killing me after the first month of sitting at a sit-down desk, so I decided to get a standing desk. I did some research and asked some of my professional colleagues and they recommended Uplift. I ordered the desk and the parts arrived a month later. My sons and I put it together and it's been great. It supports my large monitor and provides plenty of desk space. I got the reclaimed wood tabletop. I highly recommend this desk.

    • @andrewbell2739
      @andrewbell2739 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really appreciate this comment, James. If you see this - which I really hope you do lol - would you say it's more stable than their commercial C frame with a laminate top? I understand that you probably have never had that setup in front of you, but I was wondering how stable the 4 leg setup compared to the two legged commercial frame. Having a hard time (to say the least) stomaching a $1200 setup.
      Also, what's your setup? Do you have a monitor mounted to the desk? Or there any heavy things on-top of the desk itself? Would really appreciate your input!!

    I have a glass desk and usually don't sit in silence so didn't take the time to notice the wobbling sound while typing. Googled "glass desk for computer" and saw images of what could potentially be my ticking time bomb of a desk, so long story short I looked through trying to find a desk like this that offers everything without jumping up $200+ per attachment like other companies and this seems perfect! If their prices on their website didn't sell me already, your video definitely did, great quality. I'll be ordering one in the next day for sure!

    Consider mentioning that this is a sponsored review upfront rather than at the end of the video. I know you mention you would've purchased it all the same, but as a review it makes a difference knowing whether there's any bias involved from the start. It seems deceptive mentioning it as an after thought. That said, thank you for the in-depth review.

    • @badseedtech
      @badseedtech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback. Despite not being financially compensated for the review (which is what constitutes a "sponsored review"), I can see how one could assume there is bias there - when, in fact, there is not. Receiving a free product in no way changes how I evaluate and present a product.
      Nonetheless, to err on the side of caution, I have since started mentioning this at the top of my reviews. I'm sure you didn't intend to be insulting, just as I didn't intend to be deceptive.

    Great review! I have been looking at this desk for a week on the website and trying to decide what to get. First I was planning to get the commercial frame that has the cross support bar so it wouldn't wobble like so many desks seem to at standing height, however, after several reviews I watched (and all the stuff on your desk for weight!!!), it seems the reg frame is pretty stable thanks to the corner wedge on the top part of the frame. That would be the only thing I think you missed mentioning. Really happy to see the cord management options they offer because I wasn't sure which to get and most reviewers seem to have got the basic only or bought their own off Amazon. Great job and thanks for the info!

      Cobra Kai you bought the one with the crossbar and the thicker legs. It only goes up to 48.7 inches vs the one without the crossbar that goes up to like 50.5. The question is do you see any movement side to side at all raised to the top?

    • @andrewbell2739
      @andrewbell2739 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cobra Kai, how are you liking the desk? I'm considering the commercial c-frame for my new setup and want to make sure it holds up and resists any bit of shaking at peak heights. Also, does the bar takeaway form leg real-estate under the desk? In other words, are you comfortable and does the bar get in the way of anything? All these things concern me GREATLY at a $1000+ price point.

    Ordered my Uplift this week. Your video helped square away accessories. One question unrelated to the desk, what is that desk mat? Given the matching blue on my mouse, keyboard, and chair that blue under padding would look amazing on my setup.

    awesome review. looking at getting one within the month, this sold it for me. By chance could you show some video of the wobble front to back at your usage height? i havnt seen a video worth a damn showing that off yet for any of the desks.
    Also the CPU holder, how does it work? how does it put pressure against the CPU to keep it from rocking and falling out?

    • @badseedtech
      @badseedtech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. I'll try to get some footage. Would have included it in the video but the challenge is that my floors are laminate over concrete - its a repurposed warehouse space form the 30s and the floors are REALLY uneven. It takes a lot to balance this desk on this surface and if its moved even slightly has to be readjusted. I didn't feel it did it justice. Expect a little wobble...maybe a 1/4" in either direction if you really get after it. I'm testing a model from a competitor right now and this desk performs much better in that regard.
      As for the CPU holder, I'm afraid I can't answer that one for you as I opted to not go with it. Still really impressed with the unit overall though. I've really embraced the sit/stand function.

    • @alanismajere
      @alanismajere 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@badseedtech Appreciate the reply, i didnt realize it was that uneven lol, now i get why you didnt really do a test for that purpose. glad to hear its better than some competition your checking out. Are we going to get a review on that model as well?
      I did mean to ask is this the v1 or their newer v2 frame design? Also, i'll be in the market for a better ergonomical chair to help with my neck issues when i am sitting down. Got any suggestions?
      BTW, got my sub, not to many reviewers out there keepin it real nowadays.A wesome channel!

    Does the table have a smooth surface? That you're able to write on it without any bumps?
    I recently bought a vari desk, but considering to return it due to its rough texture that prevents me from writing on paper directly on the surface.
    Thank you for your comprehensive review!

    Does that wire pouch allow air to pass through it? I find I'm sensitive to heat, especially if there are any PCs under the desk, so I'd only consider getting that accessory if it won't trap warm air.

    Nice desk, thanks! Bookmarked and will be ordering one of these days. I currently have a L-Shaped black glass top desk, and I hate it. Dust shows up easy, and the big deal is that I can't use a monitor arm. Oh, regarding chair arms fitting underneath your desk, I actually picked up a chair that the arm rests pivot up and solves that issue. ;)

    • @badseedtech
      @badseedtech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Smart move with the chair! Never had one that would do that. Let me know if you have any questions. I suspect I'll be spending a lot of money with these guys.
