Northern Michif Minute: Introductions

Learn Northern Michif in this fun series with Elder Louise Oelke and Samson LaMontagne! In this video, we're learning how to introduce ourselves.
Louis Oelke is from Sâķitawahk- Ile a La Crosse Saskatchewan. She speaks Northern Michif and is a Traditional Métis Knowledge Keeper within our Community of Saskatoon. She has 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandkids. She's a mom, a kokum and a chapan!
Samson LaMontagne is from Oskana Kâ Asastîķi - Regina, Saskatchewan. He has been learning Northern and Southern Michif for the past 8 years from Michif Knowledge Keepers within our Community of Saskatoon. He has a beautiful daughter, an amazing wife and a supportive family. He is a father, a husband and a teacher!
