  • PART NUMBER BR271 (Blower resistor)
I decided to ad my video to the fray because there is little to no video about the Mitsubishi Endeavor here on youtube. Shout out to the other guy here on youtube with a video about his blower motor problem! You inspired me! Ok so my problem wasn't a burnt out connector but instead a bad resistor. This video is to show you wear it is and how to take it out so that you can install a new one and have your blower work again! I got my blower resistor from NAPA.

Thanks for uploading this video. It really helped me diagnose what was wrong with my a/c. I just bought the resistor for $25 and installed it and my blower motor began functioning.

Thanks so much for making this video. My blower would work for a few minutes, then stop working. I went to NAPA and got the part you mentioned (it's $36 now). Replaced the part and the blower is working like a champ now. Thanks again.

Thank you for this! It really helped me to replace mine in my 06. Getting your hands in there is tough let alone a screwdriver. I needed motorcycle gloves.

Thanks man the video was a huge help I only spent $54.99 for the part and installed it myself. AC is back blowing like never before.

Thanks for posting this- my wife has been driving around without heat for a YEAR b/c shop wanted 1 hr. diag. plus $145/hr. to replace blower motor. I can swallow $59.99 a lot better.

I brought my vehicle to the Mitsubishi dealership (where I get most of my work done) and the mechanic said that the square hole where the tab locks in was a tad too small. He dremeled it a bit larger and the tab snapped right in...so FYI on replacement parts.
PS: It was making partial contact and the fan was working but only on high when I tried to plug in the wiring. It's fully functional now that the resistor was modified by the shop.

Hi LaDarryl, my 2005 blows air ok but it is cold air. Is there a "door actuator" in there to repair? I don't see anything under the hood. Both hoses going through the firewall have hot coolant in them so te coolant is circulating. Thanks for the video and help

    Isn't this part the transistor?

Unfortunately, this wasn't the problem with mine. I bought the $56 part at NAPA which wasn't refundable unfortunately. Looks like I'll need a new blows motor.

LaDarryl, my blower cuts in and out. do you think its the blower motor or the resisitor?? I don't want to buy both.

Thanks for the video. I have an '06 Endeavor which has a cover on the bottom of the fan that I had to take off before I could see the fan from underneath. I got everything apart and took out the resistor--all the metal was rusty so I don't know if that's usual or not. I picked up a replacement at Advance Auto for $32. I was able to install it o.k. but I'm having a hard time trying to get the wiring harness seated all the way. The button tab in the back does not push in easily. Any ideas?
