I can’t thank you enough for this video. It was excellent and I was able to do this myself and save $300. Best video on this subject on TH-cam. Seriously,I think I watched them all.
I don't know who you are brother, but I want to thank you for this video. Last year I went to change the plugs and bought the valve cover kit and was ready to change the seals to deal with the oil leaking in the front and in the plug tubes and I saw the front cover on top of the left sides of the valve covers and said hell no I ain't taking the whole front cover with the pulleys, belts, etc. might as well do the timing belt at that point. So I just did the plugs, knowing they're gonna get oiled up again. A year later now I watched your video and was like, shoot howdy I was so close I could have did them. I bought the seals and successfully changed them out this weekend. Only pain in the rear was those old seals were rubber baked on tight and took hours to get off. I suggest anyone doing this to get a thin blade flat screwdriver and work it under there and rock it left right, left right as you push. Wear gloves or its a palm blister. Anyway, thanks again for helping to give the courage to do this job.
THANKS..JUST DID PLUGS N COILS ...this video with 2others a DARYL guy and another guy named RICH i watched observed and DID IT PERFECT IN LESS THEN 90 MIN.just coil and plugs..but now i can do that NEXT TIME IN 45MIN...THANK YOU THANK YOU...paying 550 ..YA RITE!!!!TY
Wow wow wow, doing this soon thank you for this concise video. I don’t think mine will be this easy I just got this from New York and everything looks rusty. But hopefully it goes well
Awesome video. Gave me the confidence to start. I have an error code of p303. It's the 3rd firing cylinder and needs a coil replaced. Can you tell me which coil it is?
Is this why my car stops when idling? My neighbor and I pulled out the top three spark plugs and they were caked in oil. so he found this video and we are going to tackle this this weekend. I really dont have a lot of money to put into this so hopefully this helps.
Tamika Christie it is possible that if it's miss firing bad enough do to those spark plugs it could stall. I would definitely repair those leaks even if it's not a problem we can create more problems. I would also see if you can get the codes pulled. A lot of parts stores and shops will pull the codes for free. Hope this helps.
do you know the bolt specs for the egr hose to the aim an the rear manifolds support mount bolts and the bolts to the bottom of the throttle body anddd the egr purge bracket bolts? the vehicle im working on is missing all of those. seriously.
arsen grigoryan I don't remember. If a lot of the oil goes down the tube seals and you remove the spark plugs you will have some smoke for sure. It Will go away after it burns off.
ok so I did all of this and changed my valve cover gasket and put everything back together no problem. Now I have changed a coil and a spark plug on the cylinder 1 and my car wont stay started. It turns over and starts but dies out in 3 seconds. any ideas on what maybe the problem?
fonetiks1 if it's a large rack and lick you should be able to hear it. I would just go back over everything that you touched looking for something that may have been left on plug. Also pull codes that may help you if it says lean and you know it's a vacuum leak. If you have carbs spray you can spray around the manifolds and stuff but be careful not to aspirate on ignition wires and you'll see an RPM change if he comes across a vacuum leak
How to Automotive thank you! Could that have been the problem with my car idling rough anyway? Vacuum leak? That's why I changed the spark plug and coil in the first place.
Michael Pressley Sorry you struggle with that. But the was all ready 15 minutes long so I You have to pick what to leave in or not to keep them short enough that people will watch the videos.

Amazing how too! You did a great job explaining everything and walking us through it! Thank you
WOW! I'm about do this tomorrow night to a 2006 Endeavor. Seems pretty straight forward. I hope they are basically the same engine.

This one is a ton of work. Thank you for watching.
How to Automotive parts ooo
Excellent video!
Do you have all the torque specs for all the parts
Awesome video. Gave me the confidence to start. I have an error code of p303. It's the 3rd firing cylinder and needs a coil replaced. Can you tell me which coil it is?
Thanks for your awesome video I'm available to do mine God blessing you my Brother
Great Job!! Thanks so much for the instruction. Perfect!
Well done Brian ...
On the EGR gasket - Which way does the bump fit? Front toward the manifold or back toward the hose?
Holy shit this a job and a half. Thanks for this. I might just attempt it.
Great video, well explained, thank a lot
adriangs-t parada glad to help. Thank you for watching!
Will a temporary fix be cleaning the coils of oil?
Hi. How long would the back three valve cover gaskets and coils last if you change them and seal it correctly with OEM?
On the rear end on top of the valve cover right side looping off where the throttle body was where does that air tube go
Around 3.0 minutes on video

How to Automotive Thank you. I will definitely do so.
Was wondering what is a fair price to get these gaskets changed at a garage?
do you know the bolt specs for the egr hose to the aim an the rear manifolds support mount bolts and the bolts to the bottom of the throttle body anddd the egr purge bracket bolts? the vehicle im working on
is missing all of those. seriously.
Thomas Smith-Migneault sorry I don’t know those bolt sizes and links offhand. The best place to find that information probably be the dealer
How to Automotive ok man thanks tho for the vid 👌
Thomas Smith-Migneault Sorry I could’ve been of more help. Thank you for watching!
What exactly tools I need for this job ? Awesome video
miguel monterrosa in the video I mention our show all the tools are used. Also there are links in the description.
did you have any smoke coming from the exhaust from the first startup after this?
arsen grigoryan I don't remember. If a lot of the oil goes down the tube seals and you remove the spark plugs you will have some smoke for sure. It Will go away after it burns off.

fonetiks1 something is still unplugged or you have a large vacuum leak.
how can i find a vacuum leak? that's really all i can think of.
fonetiks1 if it's a large rack and lick you should be able to hear it. I would just go back over everything that you touched looking for something that may have been left on plug. fonetiks1 vacuum leak could make it run rough for sure.
Can my Endeavor get oil in the rear plugs from an valve cover gasket that is bad? Or is it a leaking o'ring?
Thank you,
20 the given name yes it can get Oil in the Plugs.
Perfect
Just curious how much would this job would have costed at a shop
Did you reuse the tube seals?
a no I installed new seal
How to Automotive Did you also replace the air intake manifold gasket or kept the same?
I change them but this is one of the ones we can get away with not doing if the seals are still soft.
You left out the most difficult step....getting the old gasket out without destroying the cover!....That's what we need to see!
Michael Pressley Sorry you struggle with that. But the was all ready 15 minutes long so I You have to pick what to leave in or not to keep them short enough that people will watch the videos.
Thanks it wasn’t that hard to work on it
miguel monterrosa Awesome glad you got it done. Thank you for watching!
