    That flappy piece at 9:48 goes between the cargo cover and the tailgate so that when the tailgate is closed it's one nice seem less piece.

    arent the right side led on the hatch the rear foglight? the left one is just the reversing light

    At 9.00 the car comes with one reverse light on the left side halogen bulb the bulbs on the right side are Red LED rear foglights, this can be turned on from the light switch function just the opposite turn of activating the forward facing foglights.

    The paint faid on the tailgate and spoiler for this generation of legacy wagon seems to be the norm, mine came like that from Japan and I have a 2006 legacy wagon B sport also the chassis code is BP5.

      I tried flipping the switch but did not notice anything. It will be a mystery until the car lands I guess.

    so this thing has the jdm version of the ej204 with 190hp ? Same engine makes 160-165hp in European models

    • @DJVADO17
      @DJVADO17 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      norgi EJ203 to be exact unless they changed it in the 08 model as mine is the same Gen 4 and uses the 203

    • @Noi5ee
      @Noi5ee 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      All i know is that in europe up to 2005 they had SOHC 2.0 NA with 125ish hp (don't know if that might be the ej203) in the impreza and legacy, after that they used the DOHC ej204 with AVCS and 160/165hp and that same engine with some minor differences made 190hp in Japan.

    • @DerangedSloth555
      @DerangedSloth555 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That version has twin exhaust(2.0R).This one doesn't, so its EJ203.

    Woooow, nice timing. I'm on my way to pick up a 2006 Subaru Outback 3.0 R, full equipment with panorama roof, gps, reverse cam etc. Think it's going to be my best daily driver so far. 245 strong, but not aggressive horsepowers.

    • @railfanatic1416
      @railfanatic1416 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is it?

    • @IsopropylRecordings
      @IsopropylRecordings 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@railfanatic1416 It was fantastic. Loved the car, love the comfort and love the loading space. Been driving in some terrain. I live in the north so heavy winter was a breeze. Drove the big high speed roads in Sweden and it moved like it was made for autobahn. Had some nice 19" rims on it.
      The only problem, and it could be counted as a big one if your wallet is small, is the 3.0 that is, exactly 3.0 with a AWD system. AWD cars can be pretty heavy on the gas milage in general (and Subaru have been known for terrible gas milage), and add 3.0 really strong ones and you have a nice gas ticket. So it was a superb car, but i sold it and bought a cheaper car.
      Every winter drive is now a adventure so i get tons of fun now in my Nissan Micra C+C 😊 Driving on snow and ice heavy roads is a great way to get the good old heart pumping again and not caring about the cold 🤣. If you can afford / dont care about gas milage/km id say its a great buy and i would have keept it. Unfortunately i live in a country that hates cars that run on fossile fuel so the price was to high for me in the end. I miss the car everyday except on really sunny days when the Micra can take top of with the push of a button.

      @@railfanatic1416.... oh and the 3.0 is the only Subaru with chain instead of rubber timing belt = service free.

    • @railfanatic1416
      @railfanatic1416 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IsopropylRecordings ah, it's a shame that you had to get rid of it. I live in Pennsylvania (land of subarus) and our winters can be bad too, but probably not as bad as Sweden lol. I have a 2000 legacy which is starting to have head gasket problems and I've really been wanting to import a 3rd gen legacy gt-b with the twin turbo ej20

  • @zanzabar4ky7

    You say Subaru is into wagons, but they only sell the levorg now and you cannot get it in NA.

    • @PacificCoastAuto
      @PacificCoastAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do they not sell the Legacy anymore? The Levorg is awesome though.

    • @zanzabar4ky7
      @zanzabar4ky7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PacificCoastAuto the legacy now is a different car and has no wagon, the outback is an unrelated SUV, the old legacy became the WRX sedan and levorg wagon, but the levorg is not sold in North America. Now they are only pushing suvs in the states and it makes me sad as a 4th Gen legacy gt wagon owner.

    Is there a de-registration fee? Does the customer pay for it?

    • @PacificCoastAuto
      @PacificCoastAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It costs between 350 yen and 750 yen to de-register a car. We pay for that included in the service fee. Though good question because this is how some exporters keep their advertised price low- by up-charging on several other things.

    Your camera sucks to be honest, because I can barely hear the sound of the engine with the hood open.

    • @PacificCoastAuto
      @PacificCoastAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes some cars are too noisy when the hood is open.
      I have an aftermarket mic on it, which I point away from the engine, otherwise people can't hear me well. I might experiment with other setups though.

    • @bennamstyle6214
      @bennamstyle6214 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And also, when you're beginning the video, you should keep the engine off so you can start it up later so we all can hear it. And I know it's quite useless for some, but I would also like it if we could see the keys of the cars you review and also hear the chime of cars with doors open.
