15:07 Yes, it is. Mongolian throat singing, for starters. I’ve made two sounds simultaneously, many times. It’s tricky and requires a lot of practice, but it is perfectly possible.
15:00 I've never heard someone talk about this on tv! I've studied the voice for over a decade and not many know about the second set of vocal folds. It is incredibly damaging to use them, if I remember correctly because they lack the viscus layers beneath the epithelial layer. Without the layer of protection they are more likely to get scratched or scarred. In other words using these chords for prolonged periods of time would result in you seriously injuring your voice. Depending on how long the exorcism lasted if she was using the secondary set of folds the whole time she would not sound as clear as she does on the tapes. Add on to this I'm p sure it's impossible to produce two distinct voices simultaneously and you've got one weak ass argument.
The story they 'based' this on is actually really damn sad. Even if there was a possibility that she was possessed, that poor girl needed medical help and intervention before it got too late for her.

What irritated me the most about this movie is that the priest's most important goal was getting Emily's story out. That's why he wanted to testify so badly. But this whole movie acts like testifying on the stand is the only way the story could possibly be told... The media is a thing? Writing books is a thing?
Methodism didn’t start in opposition to Catholicism, it started in opposition to Calvinism if anything but more so started in opposition to the lack of spiritualism and spiritual conviction in the Anglican Church at the time of John Wesley’s ministry
Correct. There are several different forms of isolated throat singing, and apart from that the general ability by some to manipulate either set of vocal chords independently, and in turn manipulate them in "layering". Some metal vocalists can actually do this extremely well.
@@ezekieljackson5740 You don't have to be a Monk to be able to Throat sing in one of the various styles, I can throat sing (Tuvan hybrid). Just takes practice and being very aware of what your vocal chords are doing.

15:07 Yes, it is. Mongolian throat singing, for starters. I’ve made two sounds simultaneously, many times. It’s tricky and requires a lot of practice, but it is perfectly possible.
Exactly! All CinemaSins had to do was TH-cam it. It's really Very cool.
And it's something Sonic likes to listen to in his spare time.
13:10 Excuse me, sir, those cats are obviously treats. What little bundles of purrfection.
You need to watch Will Ramos with a camera down his throat!
The Primal Fear references and Poe perfectly rhymed at end, looool...epic. 😂
Good job removing a sin for Jennifer carpenters performance
I wish Sir Anthony Hopkins had played the priest.
He would of been the perfect actor.
Would've
He did an exorcism movie called “the Rite”. Not a bad flick. He’s the best part, of course.
Yes, but this movie is far below him.
The camera slowly panning the empty jail cell reminded me of Lector.
The story they 'based' this on is actually really damn sad.
Even if there was a possibility that she was possessed, that poor girl needed medical help and intervention before it got too late for her.
For anyone curious, Anneliese Michel.
"if there was a possibility that she was possessed" Eh... possessed by what exactly?
@@cecilebraillie4471 this is a really old comment lmfao, I don't believe in ghosts or demons or anything but the real story claimed that she was possessed by the devil or something idk.
I personally thought this was an entertaining and well done movie....And I think you guys are entertaining , also.
4:02 Man, this dude is SERIOUS about you not copying off his test!
🤣
Dude I can remember that scene with the dripping eyes scaring the shit outta me!
the flashback scenes always genuinely gave me the creeps and they still do.. not a lot of horror movies personally scare me but i thought the visuals were cool and jennifer carpenter did a good job acting freaky as hell
I'm surprised Jeremy missed the "Character inexplicably breaks through laminated windshield glass" cliche.
"I'm Batman." Well, there I go giggling again.
Everything I ever got from movies about demons: You started it. That's it, that's the rules of demons. Leave em alone.
But yeah, people with psychological problems need doctors, not wizards.
What irritated me the most about this movie is that the priest's most important goal was getting Emily's story out. That's why he wanted to testify so badly. But this whole movie acts like testifying on the stand is the only way the story could possibly be told... The media is a thing? Writing books is a thing?
Dropping an envelope with the details of the case off at the Daily Planet.
Methodism didn’t start in opposition to Catholicism, it started in opposition to Calvinism if anything but more so started in opposition to the lack of spiritualism and spiritual conviction in the Anglican Church at the time of John Wesley’s ministry
7:08 Okay, This Sin fucking Broke me, LMAO
She's not demonically possessed she's just practicing her breakdancing
As a young teenager(12-13) when this movie came out this was horrifying. Like I literally couldn't walk in my house without lights on for a while.
Yooo! I can't believe you did a 90's classic!
This movie is from 04 or 05 bro
@@shanetapia8637 lol that's what I'm sayin, I'm THE 90's!
"Not the pencils and pens! Oh, the horror! The horror!" 😂🤣
What happened to the actual sin where the priest who was hit by the car bounce off the windshield but in another shot he went thru it
Btw.. people can isolate their vocal cords. There are monks (that were cited during the actual trial) who practice isolating voices from their mouth
Correct. There are several different forms of isolated throat singing, and apart from that the general ability by some to manipulate either set of vocal chords independently, and in turn manipulate them in "layering". Some metal vocalists can actually do this extremely well.
Nah
@@midgardland7821 Yah
@@DJTheMetalheadMercenary was she a fucking monk, I don’t think so
@@ezekieljackson5740 You don't have to be a Monk to be able to Throat sing in one of the various styles, I can throat sing (Tuvan hybrid). Just takes practice and being very aware of what your vocal chords are doing.
I went with my friend to see this movie after he said his girlfriend was bringing her friend. Then a guy walked up to her and got her number and came to the movie with us. So I watched this whole movie being the 5th wheel. I watched this movie while people made out around me. The movie was mid
Awww.
Meth.
LOL. You was never a optio
One thing that always bothered me about this movie is the part where the prosecution argues that the holes in Emily's hands came from a barbed-wire fence. If that were the case, she'd have two holes in each hand!
Love the channel! Please do The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs
Should have added a sin for wasps/bees being active when it’s snowing
Oh yeah, I forgot Peter Parker’s Dad was lead prosecutor
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES EVER!!!!
Why did I just start LOL when he said, “Not the pencils and the pens…oh the horror…oh the horror!!!” 😂😭🤣 I definitely needed that laugh!
9:09 And after that testimony, she quit her job, went into politics and became UN Secretary General!
The "NAMES" part is amazing
Also, it will always be confusing to non-Americans that the names "Erin" and "Aaron" sound the same in your accents
howwww
How are you 11 hours?!?!??!
@@aghost7054 prolly a patreon thing
@@aghost7054 Early access from CinemaSins
@@Liwaaaah you mean how do they sound the same? I think it's ths shortened first vowel sound makes them similar to my ear
You are mostly right Cimea Sins, in saying humans cannot produce two distinct voices at the same time. Just for additional curiosity I wanted to ask you if you've ever heard of polyphonic overtones, which is the closest thing to a double voice produced by a human. See also Demetrio Stratos (Italian 70's prog singer) and Anna-Maria Hefele (very skilled German singer). Peace and keep up the good work, LOVE IT! :D
Omg I remember when I first watched this movie and when I finished it I did a full research on the real case, even listened to the real recordings damn so glad CinemaSins finally made a video about this movie XD
Annelise Michel right?
@@stefanfilipovits21 The real case is where it’s at imo,but the movie was pretty good.Honestly,I’m a horror lover so whenever CinemaSins decides to do a horror movie video I get so excited.(≧∇≦)
@@yarisspace same!
That thing about validating possession on court being common and then saying "wait, demon possession". That was pretty funny. Great job.
I remember when my mom wouldnt let me watch this film. I would copy the scene of Emily doing the "Matrix" while possessed
"I know you the judge in the movie but... who tf asked you?"😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
I love this movie, one of my favourite horror movies and yet I still couldn't stop laughing...
Thank you for this...you should do The Man from Uncle next
I watch this movie right before I went to basic training and one of the first few nights in basic training I woke up in the middle of the night and there was a guy a few bunks over doing sit-ups in his bed at 3:00 in the morning I thought he was possessed I was freaking out
Hey, Richard Parker (Spider-man's dad) is in this..... that kicks ass!
15:59 I mean, that's kinda how you write a capital 'F' in cursive, so I guess that sin is really more for cursive itself?
12:57 “because that’s how you get ants!!”
Haha freaking perfect
The snake that the demon summoned to fall on Father Moore was actually Moore concerned with that Student Union meeting and the resultant decision of which variant of cheese would ultimately be offered with the salads in the cafeteria than altering the outcome of Emily Rose's exorcism.
Great job bro keep up the good work 👍👍👍
I thought she was going to say “That was her dream to become a cat lady” lol.
7:11 The "College" sin made me bust out laughing so fucking hard.
They got the guy who played the demon Andre Linoge to play an attorney in an exorcism movie.
I couldn’t help noticing that too. That’s also Laufey, King of the Frost Giants. God, I love him in Storm of The Century.
The "I'm Batman" took me out 😂😂
My parents called this a "how-to" guide for taking care of me LMAO
