I’ve never seen this guy before. How the freak does an insane demonic person like this gain that much power and control. Holy hell, a real life horror show.
The vast bulk of people want someone to worship and follow. Some choose musicians or singers. Some choose actors. Some choose royalty. Some choose sports stars. And then yet more choose absolute loons like this fella. It is a perfectly natural thing to have a personal hero. He simply is a personality people choose to follow, like any other.
In the Bible there is a distinction between the healthy awe of God, and the concentration of the mind on the scary things of this world. I think when he was saying that fear is a sin, he meant it as the opposite or lack of the virtue of hope. Fear of God is the wise reverence toward God. It is a pretty awkward translation out of Hebrew/Greek, so I can see the confusion
I'm sure he has heard of it. I actually have no doubt this man has tried to become as well-informed about the situation as he can in order to help him twist the story into something that can make him another few megamillions.

Don't absolve him of his guilt by blaming it on a demon. That is a human being and he is capable of great good or evil on his own, no supernatural forces are required.
I am a Christian and I believe he is demonized. If you have questions and are trying to figure out if the bible is true or not, go to a church and ask questions. Also read the bible. I recommend going to something like a Wesleyan Church, a protestant church because thats what I am. But when it comes down to it and maybe you don't know what church to follow, focus on truly believing and having faith in God and let him point you in the right direction, just make sure you know you aren't being influenced and tricked by satan. Ill pray for you.

The biggest irony is him pretending being Christian. His claims sound like he has never read the Bible. Besides that he does a complete 180 on Christian values and facts.
He looks evil but as soon as someone says something he disagrees with or is annoyed by, his eyes widen and his whole face tightens and then he looks like he turns into the demon possessing him.
Ha, I didn’t notice him say that. Yes that does seem a tad off-brand. So greed is off the list of deadly sins but fear is on it all of the sudden. So hard to keep up.
The irony is that in Matthew 19:24 Jesus himself is quoted as saying “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of A needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God”
Jason Sanchez I bet Copeland would do the same. You really think this guy would give up his private planes, and mansions and almost a billion dollars? No.
Idk, I guess that's between him and Jesus. But as a pastor he must be careful what he preaches because he will be held accountable by God, so pastor's need to stay scriptural and not have a false doctrine.
It really does suck being a Christian having to constantly apologize on behalf of the people who claim to say they “preach the gospel”...these people are disgusting
Honestly if people really group everyone together like that, it’s not your fault. Christianity is meant to be helpful and comfort you not scare you or others.
exactly.. God is love. and there is no fear in perfect love. HOW TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN WHEN YOUR BODY DIES AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WHO LOVES YOU: believe in the Son of God: ~John 3:16 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." WHAT EXACTLY DOES BELIEVING IN GOD'S SON MEAN?: accept God's testimony about his Son: ~1 John 5:10: "Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son." WHAT IS GOD'S TESTIMONY ABOUT HIS SON? here it is: ~1 John 5:11-13 "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." DO I HAVE TO DO ANY WORKS? no! you are saved freely! you will go to heaven when you die now! Reference verses: ~John 6:26-29 "Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”" ~Ephesians 2:8-9: " For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast." ~Romans 4:2-8: " If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”" ~Romans 3:20-31: "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood-to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law." Am I saved forever now? no need to worry? yep! you are sealed with the Holy Spirit! ~Ephesians 1:13-14: "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory." I still find myself sinning- why? ~Romans 7:14-24: "We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin."

I don’t like Copeland but if we’re doing this quarantine to protect old people, and they don’t care, why should EVERYONE be forced to? I really think "using the Lord's name in vain" isn't saying "oh my god" I think it's doing exactly what you said, using the Lord's name to get money and power
Bible says the Holy Spirit that God gave us is not a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (paraphrased a bit by me). The context of the passage is about not having fear when it comes to sharing the gospel of Jesus and the eternal life he offers if we believe in Him and turn from our wicked ways. And we will only lose that fear when we become Christians. So Copeland is pretty much twisting scripture (not a surprise), because fear is not sin.
Can someone give me a bible reference that fear is sin? is that like the 11th commandment? Thou shalt not be afraid of silly disease? I'm sorry my guy. Fear is what made courage possible. in our case the fear of dying is what makes us make efforts to live like sanitizing, self isolating, and social distancing.
It never seizes to amaze me how gullible people are that follow Kenneth Copelands heretical teachings and think he is actually a man of God. This man is Satan at worst and a demon at best!

As an actual, fairly committed Christian I can whole heatedly say that my homie Copeland is clinically insane and makes me sad to see us represented like psycos...
Nice variation on the No True Scottsman fallacy. Keep this in mind...the Bible is not read; it is interpreted. It is interpreted differently by most everyone. You have no idea what an actual, fairly committed Christian is. You only have YOUR idea of it (which, how convenient for you, is the actual one, right?) and the confirmation biases you surround yourself with. Copeland is crazy. But you believe in the same god as he does and that says a lot about you, too.
Not even close... why would that say anything about him because he believes in God? Looks like you have your own biases around Christians to say that lol, but that is your words not mine.
Even though you can't see their faces it's like you can hear the fear in their voices, and when you can they just shiver and huddle their arms out of fear of the camera and kenneth copeland acknowledging their fear of him
The funniest part is 5:23 After he says "Israelis", he has this look on his face like he's surprised he said it. Almost like he has been trying to say that word for years and he finally said it correctly.
I think everyone fails to realise that this guy is scaring old people into changing their will to donate their estate to his church because that's the only salvation in these type of churches.
As a Christian myself, this guy is just...beyond me. “Fear is sin” is the most twisting of the statements in the Bible I’ve ever heard. Legit this dude is tripping. I’ve seen 4 year old children make more sense that this dude.
I know in the Catholic sacraments, (I’m a catholic and I’m not sure about Christian sacraments) there is a sacrament called “awe and reverence”. Although, originally it was called “fear of the lord” and it was renamed to awe and reverence because fear was to strong of a word and it meant to respect the lord. So, by this guy telling people that if you’re scared, you’re sinning. Is complete and utter BS. Instead, he should be telling people to think logically about the situation, and trust in god that the situation goes away, without telling people to have complete faith in god, so more dire situations don’t sprout up.
Yes, I understand I know Anglicans, Lutherans, Evangelists etc. are Protestants. It's just that, most of the time I refer to Protestants as Christian. Sorry about the confusion.

Show him the video of him "blowing" the virus away if he hasn't seen it yet, and then show him that many people are still getting infected and dying from this disease, even after he claimed to have "blown" the virus away. The only thing you can do is to continue to try and convince him that this guy is a total fraud. I'd do it for my dad (if he followed one of these crazy televangelists that is), even if it means him hating me for it. I'd hate to see a member of my family become a member of this evil guy's "church" (he says church, but every sane person knows it's a cult), and them sacrificing part of their income to these scams. I'm praying for you and your dad.
@Noah Perez Fox News is a mess, even real Republicans shouldn't use it as a sole source (though really no one should use only one source). As for cowboy movies, admittedly they are kinda backwards in their plot or production, pretty obviously a product of their time. And if you're combining that with only watching fox news, you're mindset might be kind of locked in the past or just a bit stunted. But aside from that, cowboy movies can be kinda fun.
didn't Jesus say that he feared his own death and hoped it did not have to be this way? i don't remember the line perfectly, its been a while since i read the bible, it something like 'father, you can do anything, remove this curse from me" this was when he was standing by the olive trees just before he would be captured by the soldiers. pretty sure i got the context right.

“Fear is sin”
But the Bible says to fear God???
And dude, look how highlighted that book is. What isn’t ?
In the Bible there is a distinction between the healthy awe of God, and the concentration of the mind on the scary things of this world. I think when he was saying that fear is a sin, he meant it as the opposite or lack of the virtue of hope. Fear of God is the wise reverence toward God.

exactly.. God is love. and there is no fear in perfect love. HOW TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN WHEN YOUR BODY DIES AND HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WHO LOVES YOU: believe in the Son of God:
~John 3:16 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
WHAT EXACTLY DOES BELIEVING IN GOD'S SON MEAN?: accept God's testimony about his Son:
~1 John 5:10: "Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son."
WHAT IS GOD'S TESTIMONY ABOUT HIS SON? here it is:
~1 John 5:11-13 "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."
DO I HAVE TO DO ANY WORKS? no! you are saved freely! you will go to heaven when you die now! Reference verses:
~John 6:26-29 "Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”"
~Ephesians 2:8-9: " For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."
~Romans 4:2-8: " If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
“Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”"
~Romans 3:20-31: "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law."
Am I saved forever now? no need to worry? yep! you are sealed with the Holy Spirit!
~Ephesians 1:13-14: "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory."
I still find myself sinning- why?
I recommend not being a Christian, it's great.

"Be a good, God-fearing Christian, and recognize that fear is sin"
What even is American Evangelicalism?
Definitely not that.
I mean technically that is all of Christianity. The Bible says do not fear hundreds of times

Can someone give me a bible reference that fear is sin? is that like the 11th commandment? Thou shalt not be afraid of silly disease?

As a Christian myself, this guy is just...beyond me. “Fear is sin” is the most twisting of the statements in the Bible I’ve ever heard. Legit this dude is tripping. I’ve seen 4 year old children make more sense that this dude.
Exactly. The bible was designed to scare you.
@@pleaseholdaltf4871 you mean "Protestant" not Christian -- Catholicism and Protestantism are both "sub-genres" of Christianity

Izzy Woods there’s nothing hypnotizing about old cowboy movies and Fox News tells people to be careful as stay inside but Kenneth is insane
@Noah Perez
Fox News is a mess, even real Republicans shouldn't use it as a sole source (though really no one should use only one source).

@Yoyo Mackoy This blew my mind. There's so many of these people in the world.
@Yoyo Mackoy must be because the bible was never meant to be a common household item, but rather loose texts to be discussed and analysed between religious scholars and for the priests to translate and explain to the general public.
i don't think anyone went into it to establish the absolute book of law or to have every single word of every anecdotal tale or allegory to be taken literally.
