The over steer is not bad with sport tires on the base supra. Sport mediums or soft would be the closest to the pilot super sports the supra comes with from the factory and it's pretty stable and planted with either of those equipped on a stock supra.
The supra in gt7 has a wing which equals more rear downforce, you use more breaking in gt7 as well! In forza your driving seems to wanna look for that slip angle and it's more aggressive too.
If you wanted to do a fair comparison. You should have made sure to test on the stock car without any modifications or setup and with same types of tyres. Also should have tested on multiple tracks because depending on the track you choose the kerb will or will not unsettled the car. Finally your chase cam in GT7 is setup in a way that make it pretty much locked to the car which looks worse and less natural than FM.

It makes no difference. All cars in GT don't really move around at the back end. And curbs in GT are literally non existent in terms of effects on the car.
I haven't played GT7, but I can confirm that the dynamics are very good in Forza. The amount of times I've dropped a tyre over a kerb onto the grass in a corner and it's thrown the car off, triggering big slidey moments or bouncing back over and cocking a wheel throwing the control off

Not necessarily wings need speed to make any noticeable difference and that truly depends on the actual aerodynamics of the car generally you can expect maybe a 20% increase in downforce but that’s a very general percentage for certain cars a wing may do nothing for some cars the wing may only take effect at speeds in excess of 100mph. On average most wings will create downforce at 40-60mph but probably closer to 60 and the amount of downforce could be small Or large. So saying this comparison is not fair is a little Far fetched in what he’s trying to show, at those speeds the wing is probably not going to provide enough downforce to give any advantage

you need to shown us the driving assist in both games, i play GT7 and oversteer a lot when turn off all the driving assist. also the chase cam is not really an ideal choice for comparing physics, GT7 camera are preety static so its so hard to notice the car movement

Something I haven't seen is people setting up the cars to be as similar as possible before comparing. I don't find cars on GT to be too understeer heavy when I set up, but if you just run with everything as it comes, you get a mixed bag of results.
Because gt7 doesn’t have any real weight distribution if you brake a little to hard your car locks up instantly if you turn a little bit to fast in a corner your car spins out. If you hit a curb a little to fast you spin out like lol
@@dutyrover946theres tons of tuning options for this. Ballast weight and position, downforce, suspension. Sometimes it’s just the diff. Sometimes hard compound tires perform better than soft.
As someone who races on controller with manual gearing I try not to accelerate or brake on the curbs or I gear into a higher gear to negate the loss of traction. Just nother level of interaction the game offers which I appreciate and the online racing is just next level.
I always thought that GT sacrifices a bit of extreme realism to favor competition on the track, making the car more predictable in curves and collisions helps in this sense, but I don't think this makes it worse or better, just different and I like it.
Yet prior to this people would claim gran Turismo being more realistic is why it's better, forza becomes more realistic now you're all saying gt being less realistic is why it's better lol. I like the more realistic approach of Forza personally especially when sit to simulation steering every car can feel different completely lol, there's pro n cons to both I think Forza has a way more realistic approach to environment graphically is superior, but Gran Turismo car models has way better detail n details in general. I played more than 500 horus in GT7 and about 200 hours in GT Sport. And after 48 hours in FM I can't play GT anymore. I see that GT physics is too simple and incorrect. I don't even know if there is even one car in GT with normal physics. I use a wheel and dualsense. FM has good feedback even on Dualsense.
What GT always gets wrong is the vacuum cleaner sounds and the car also feels like its overweight understeer but when you break it free its to loose no middle ground
Next time please compare both with completely stock car (not one has a wing and another hasn't) from cockpit view or above bumper view. Probably would be best to try with several different cars if feasible.
Well I play on pc so I haven't played gt7, but on that point I'd say forza gets the win just on an accessibility level. I can play with both my pc and my Xbox friends which to me is worth more than a little less visual movement in the car. The game is a blast!

GT7 is more realistic. Forza makes it seem like the car has a really bad suspension. On that note that supra modeling looks way better in GT7 than Forza.

yeah. I really like GT7, I think it's in almost all ways the superior single-player gaming experience. but my gut just went right for FM for "more realistic". because it's way harder to stay on the road, even at mid speeds. if you're reading this and have a choice, though, I say GT7 ftw. it's a charming single-player arcade racer with physics so realistic I believe Mercedez Benz qualified it as a virtual sim for one of their high-performance vehicles. that's got to mean something. BRING IT TO PC. FREE GT7!
Gt7 does feel a bit like it’s on rails. Reminds me a bit of Geoff crammonds gp4, feels like you are driving but to what extent? Forza is exaggerated, but pointing towards realism, although a bit too exaggerated. It is however more fun to drive. Shame as gt7 overall is so refined. Imagine gt7 refinement plus Forza handling.
Because camera make a huge impact on how we perceived the car movement. Camera on GT7 are pretty fix to the car make it harder to notice any car movement. I think cockpit view or hood cam are better choice for comparing the physics, even though is not really an accurate
Speaking of slip angle tell me why an LMP1 cars and GT3 cars oversteer so much on highspeed cornering in Forza. Those cars should be absolutely glued to the road. Go watch Ermz latest multiplayer video as he gets walked by a FWD car just drifting around every corner. The physics in Forza are whack. I think you should go play some more GT7 man, funny thing is I was playing Forza and started enjoying the physics there too, until I started playing GT7 again and snapped back to reality. The car models are so much visibility better on GT7 not fan boying that is just what really stands out to me in all the comparisons of these two...and this is on my phone watching in 1080 they would look even more detailed on a high end 4k TV
I've played both games on a 55 inch 4k Dolby Vision HDR tv, as I own both consoles. I wouldn't say the car models are visibly better in GT7, they're just lit differently. GT7 also has zero damage modelling when you hit something, the paint doesn't flake off like it does in Forza. I think GT7 wins on HDR on my tv though.

Playing in person GT has a glossy look, like intentionally clean and shiny. FM2023 has more realistic lighting and damage modeling so overall forza looks better but gt looks more appealing to the caaual gamer.
Gt7 basically has paragraphs and paragraphs written about each car and its history this is never talked about but something that anyone who enjoys cars or motorsports in general should also consiter this...although i know most of this section is uneducated children who dont care about all that
Gt7 its a very good series but now FM give the best driving experience,more realistic, the cars behavior is more appropriate to reallity and felling. Of course now FM are full with faults, need patches quickly. Fm now not deserve 100 euro
I am trying to decide between driving games and no matter how many different videos I watch they don't make it any easier to choose between these two games. I get the impression Forza is meant to be more of a simulator while GT7 is meant to be more of an arcade experience but I also think GT7 has made that decision intentionally because they understand "more realistic" can mean "less enjoyable to play". I do, in fact, enjoy arcade racing games like Sega's Daytona which is unashamedly arcade action with predictable controllable and unrealistic physics just made to be a blast to play without too much uptime on getting to grips with the car. I prefer the more subdued and often apparently more realistic graphics of GT7. It seems kind of ironic that the more arcade action game would best the more dedicated simulator for visual realism but for me the general look of GT7 is better while apparently still adjusting for what contributes most to game experience. The makers of Forza might attempt a coup by merely adding an alternative arcade game experience so you can choose either approach from a single game. Weighing the pros and cons of both though it does seem very hard to choose between them.
Nothing in the driving physics on GT real life. It’s always been stiff and lifeless (robotic). Regular rwd cars don’t squat when they take off nor do they really dive. If you drive chase view, it’s lifeless and stiff. Not to mention cars oversteer doing 45 on bank turns and end up in the dirt. A modern Corolla can handle that.
I'm not a fan of how things handle on Pirelli tires, IMO Michelin & Bridgestone do a better job of increasing handling whilst retaining the engineered balance

The car come with confort soft standard so why the need of change the tyres to a grippy ones and on top of that add a resr spoiler? Sport intermediate tyres or racing intermediate tyres? To be a fair comparision we need to see the car completely stock, not modified i think!

Having played both they are both on different extremes regarding traction, forza motorsport rear end is way too loose and its basically impossible to lose it completely and less you get snap oversteer when correcting, and GT cars feel completely on rails and you feel like cars have no suspension
Having played both, Forza performs closer to an actual vehicle and you have to drive with a purpose. GT7 has smarter AI, but the limitation of *20 cars is a downer. (Sue me - haven’t played GT7 in a while… ) 24 cars in Forza is so much more engaging.

GT 7 looks like its on rails. I love how you have to drive the car in Forza, I race with no assists so you have to ease on the brake and gas pedals or you will lose control like a simulator sould react. If you dont like that just stick with Need for Speed games.

I’ve played both and prefer the physics in forza more. Keep in mind that forza just came out and with time will get better. I think the graphics look a bit better in GT7, but the gameplay and physics goes to forza
The physics in forza are way off though. The way I tested it in both games is driving the same car I have in real life. In forza when I accelerate while turning slightly at around 50mph the car in forza loses grip and you start drifting or spinning out. That doesn’t happen in real life with the same car. My test with the car in gt7 was much more accurate to how it is in real life. And not many people have mentioned how incredibly unrealistic the rain physics in forza are
Most people who think Forza has better physics probably only have experience being the backseat driver of a taxi cab. I know we see a video of Kireth driving a real car here... did he get the tune from this particular car, right? Obviously, GT7's car as shown isn't stock, so we know he's done something to it. Also, most street legal cars can't be spun out by driving them hard. They employ all sorts of computerized systems to keep the street-legal vehicle from breaking traction and whatnot. Is Kireth going to mention any of that? Of course not. He is here to generate clicks, and it works. Whether he really believes Forza is closer to reality or not, he knows these videos attract a lot of attention.
Spot on, I've had people telling me GT7 was a more hardcore racer. Forza Motorsport is definitely more hardcore, punishing. I'd say GT7 is a great entry level casual sim-cade game. Forza Motorsport is definitely more difficult, but extremely rewarding when you get it right.
Agreed, coming from someone who plays both games. I'm finding FM a lot more difficult to drive. I could close my eyes and be fast in GT7. In Forza, it takes skill to be fast.
Would of been a much better comparison if it they were all from the cockpit. What happens from the outside of the car doesnt always reflect the mannerisms inside of it so it would of been a much clearer comparison overall. But that doesn't change how the car behaves to drive. He's right, in GT7 you almost always never lose the stability. And curbs feel non existent in GT7. Forza for the first time ever actually feels like your taking risks with to much curb, or the possibility of losing the rear end under braking or accelerating out of a corner. Forza feels more like man, machine against the circuit. GT7 feels more like just making sure your lines are accurate. I'm pleasently surprised just how impressive Forza is online. It's absolutely awesome. And I didn't like previous Forzas especially online. I'm converted to Forza for sure now.
I just wish there was more damage. I enjoy games where my car is dented or a bumper falls off. Pit team has to hammer out a dent in the fenders. It’s honestly one of the things that turns me away from playing a lot of racing games.

I’ve said this before I have an E92 M3 (2008) and over 150 hours in GT7 I’ve never been able to replicate how my own car feels in GT7. So those who think GT7 is life like has never driven any of these cars in real life. The stiffness in GT7, the way cars turn and the horrible braking system is far from Being a sim I’ve only Spent 4 hours on Forza and already I can feel how much more life like the game feels. The feedback you get is a lot more complex and realistic on Forza. While I think GT7 shines better as a game overall and car models I don’t think it’s physics engine is a true representation of how real life cars drive. Neither of the games are like real life. And I’ve also tested both games with my real cars to see which game is more accurate and it’s easily gt7. You’re delusional to say otherwise. The cayman gts in forza loses grip and starts spinning out at 60mph with foot slightly on the gas in forza. That does not happen in real life. Gt7 was more accurate with the handling for both the real life versions of the gts and gr86 that I tested. Not necessarily wings need speed to make any noticeable difference and that truly depends on the actual aerodynamics of the car generally you can expect maybe a 20% increase in downforce but that’s a very general percentage for certain cars a wing may do nothing for some cars the wing may only take effect at speeds in excess of 100mph. On average most wings will create downforce at 40-60mph but probably closer to 60 and the amount of downforce could be small

well first off GT Supra has a Wing, what tires are you running on both cars? what kinda of setup are you running? Also GT has more camera rotation than that in Chase cam if you change the settings.
you need to shown us the driving assist in both games, i play GT7 and oversteer a lot when turn off all the driving assist. also the chase cam is not really an ideal choice for comparing physics, GT7 camera are preety static so its so hard to notice the car movement

Also, chase cam settings can be adjusted in GT7, not to be static actually. Can be more dynamic. Very easy :

Something I haven't seen is people setting up the cars to be as similar as possible before comparing. I don't find cars on GT to be too understeer heavy when I set up, but if you just run with everything as it comes, you get a mixed bag of results.

Because gt7 doesn’t have any real weight distribution if you brake a little to hard your car locks up instantly if you turn a little bit to fast in a corner your car spins out. If you hit a curb a little to fast you spin out like lol
@@dutyrover946theres tons of tuning options for this. Ballast weight and position, downforce, suspension. Sometimes it’s just the diff. Sometimes hard compound tires perform better than soft.

As someone who races on controller with manual gearing I try not to accelerate or brake on the curbs or I gear into a higher gear to negate the loss of traction. Just nother level of interaction the game offers which I appreciate and the online racing is just next level.

I always thought that GT sacrifices a bit of extreme realism to favor competition on the track, making the car more predictable in curves and collisions helps in this sense, but I don't think this makes it worse or better, just different and I like it.

I bought a racing wheel and played american truck simulator for a while. And when I downloaded forza, I actually fellt the power of the car, first time I pushed that throttle full on spun me around the track

I played more than 500 horus in GT7 and about 200 hours in GT Sport. And after 48 hours in FM I can't play GT anymore. I see that GT physics is too simple and incorrect. I don't even know if there is even one car in GT with normal physics. I use a wheel and dualsense. FM has good feedback even on Dualsense.

What GT always gets wrong is the vacuum cleaner sounds and the car also feels like its overweight understeer but when you break it free its to loose no middle ground
Next time please compare both with completely stock car (not one has a wing and another hasn't) from cockpit view or above bumper view. Probably would be best to try with several different cars if feasible.

Well I play on pc so I haven't played gt7, but on that point I'd say forza gets the win just on an accessibility level. I can play with both my pc and my Xbox friends which to me is worth more than a little less visual movement in the car. The game is a blast!

yeah. I really like GT7, I think it's in almost all ways the superior single-player gaming experience. but my gut just went right for FM for "more realistic". because it's way harder to stay on the road, even at mid speeds.
if you're reading this and have a choice, though, I say GT7 ftw. it's a charming single-player arcade racer with physics so realistic I believe Mercedez Benz qualified it as a virtual sim for one of their high-performance vehicles. that's got to mean something.

Forza is exaggerated, but pointing towards realism, although a bit too exaggerated. It is however more fun to drive. Shame as gt7 overall is so refined.

Speaking of slip angle tell me why an LMP1 cars and GT3 cars oversteer so much on highspeed cornering in Forza. Those cars should be absolutely glued to the road. I think you should go play some more GT7 man, funny thing is I was playing Forza and started enjoying the physics there too, until I started playing GT7 again and snapped back to reality. I've played both games on a 55 inch 4k Dolby Vision HDR tv, as I own both consoles. I wouldn't say the car models are visibly better in GT7, they're just lit differently. GT7 also has zero damage modelling when you hit something, the paint doesn't flake off like it does in Forza. I think GT7 wins on HDR on my tv though.

Playing in person GT has a glossy look, like intentionally clean and shiny. FM2023 has more realistic lighting and damage modeling so overall forza looks better but gt looks more appealing to the caaual gamer.

I am trying to decide between driving games and no matter how many different videos I watch they don't make it any easier to choose between these two games. I get the impression Forza is meant to be more of a simulator while GT7 is meant to be more of an arcade experience but I also think GT7 has made that decision intentionally because they understand "more realistic" can mean "less enjoyable to play". I do, in fact, enjoy arcade racing games like Sega's Daytona which is unashamedly arcade action with predictable controllable and unrealistic physics just made to be a blast to play without too much uptime on getting to grips with the car. I prefer the more subdued and often apparently more realistic graphics of GT7. It seems kind of ironic that the more arcade action game would best the more dedicated simulator for visual realism but for me the general look of GT7 is better while apparently still adjusting for what contributes most to game experience. The makers of Forza might attempt a coup by merely adding an alternative arcade game experience so you can choose either approach from a single game. Weighing the pros and cons of both though it does seem very hard to choose between them.
Nothing in the driving physics on GT real life. It’s always been stiff and lifeless (robotic). Regular rwd cars don’t squat when they take off nor do they really dive. If you drive chase view, it’s lifeless and stiff. Not to mention cars oversteer doing 45 on bank turns and end up in the dirt. A modern Corolla can handle that.
I'm not a fan of how things handle on Pirelli tires, IMO Michelin & Bridgestone do a better job of increasing handling whilst retaining the engineered balance

It's unbeliveable how this guy can be so innacurate, why he put a supra on racing tyres and with a massive spoiler on the rear? If he put the GT7 supra as he comes in stock form(without the spoiler and with the standard confort soft tyres) he will notice that the car oversteer like he should be... i also read the comments and when someone ask him who is the type of tyres he use in this car he don't answer to the question, so in my point of view this video is biased!

Having played both they are both on different extremes regarding traction, forza motorsport rear end is way too loose and its basically impossible to lose it completely and less you get snap oversteer when correcting, and GT cars feel completely on rails and you feel like cars have no suspension
Not true, you can easily spin out a car in Forza if you set the gear ratio up wrong and then accelerate too hard.

GT 7 looks like its on rails. I love how you have to drive the car in Forza, I race with no assists so you have to ease on the brake and gas pedals or you will lose control like a simulator sould react. If you dont like that just stick with Need for Speed games.

I’ve played both and prefer the physics in forza more. Keep in mind that forza just came out and with time will get better. I think the graphics look a bit better in GT7, but the gameplay and physics goes to forza
The physics in forza are way off though. The way I tested it in both games is driving the same car I have in real life. In forza when I accelerate while turning slightly at around 50mph the car in forza loses grip and you start drifting or spinning out. That doesn’t happen in real life with the same car. My test with the car in gt7 was much more accurate to how it is in real life. And not many people have mentioned how incredibly unrealistic the rain physics in forza are
Most people who think Forza has better physics probably only have experience being the backseat driver of a taxi cab. I know we see a video of Kireth driving a real car here... did he get the tune from this particular car, right? Obviously, GT7's car as shown isn't stock, so we know he's done something to it. Also, most street legal cars can't be spun out by driving them hard. They employ all sorts of computerized systems to keep the street-legal vehicle from breaking traction and whatnot.
Is Kireth going to mention any of that? Of course not. He is here to generate clicks, and it works. Whether he really believes Forza is closer to reality or not, he knows these videos attract a lot of attention.

Spot on, I've had people telling me GT7 was a more hardcore racer. Forza Motorsport is definitely more hardcore, punishing. I'd say GT7 is a great entry level casual sim-cade game. Forza Motorsport is definitely more difficult, but extremely rewarding when you get it right.

Would of been a much better comparison if it they were all from the cockpit. What happens from the outside of the car doesnt always reflect the mannerisms inside of it so it would of been a much clearer comparison overall. Forza for the first time ever actually feels like your taking risks with to much curb, or the possibility of losing the rear end under braking or accelerating out of a corner.

Being a sim I’ve only Spent 4 hours on Forza and already I can feel how much more life like the game feels. The feedback you get is a lot more complex and realistic on Forza. While I think GT7 shines better as a game overall and car models I don’t think it’s physics engine is a true representation of how real life cars drive. The cayman gts in forza loses grip and starts spinning out at 60mph with foot slightly on the gas in forza. That does not happen in real life. Gt7 was more accurate with the handling for both the real life versions of the gts and gr86 that I tested. Every single road car In Forza handles like a damn mustang or drift car and it’s a complete joke
