I think one thing KS has opened my eyes to realizing, is how important each parent is in a childs life. Too much of any one parent causes an imbalance in the childs rearing. Too much mothering isnt good, too much fathering isnt good either. You need both to play their roles. Father provides practicality, mother provides nurturing and humanity. Both are of great importance for a healthy stable adult.

Agree. I’m raising my daughter after retirement from the Army. I’ve had her since she was three and she’s 11 now. The “soft” skills don’t come to me naturally now after serving in an Army at war for my last 16 years, Ranger, airborne, etc. As much as I don’t care for her mother I broke down and told her mother she needs to get more involved in her life cause there are things I can’t teach her.

Secretly the mother wants her daughters to dislike men! It worked to the point that one is playing for the same team 🤷🏽‍♂️ Single mothers groom their daughters to not like men since momma cant keep a man or husband. The daughters will die alone or become lesbian.

Well, I once talked to a girl that hated her Dad because he was just a worker! The mom told her not to settle for a man like her Dad, the dad is the same man that paid for her medical degree and brought her to all levels of education. The mom hate the father because he's not a graduate but the fact that he doesn't even know that the women in his life doesn't even appreciate him that's damn bad.

I have had a similar experience. There was a girl I knew who hated her dad because he was a straight, virtuous man with integrity who refused to take any bribes or be a part of any corruption. Her mother hated him too. They were normal middle class people and she had almost all the comforts that a person required. I excused myself and actively avoided her after that.

My wife and I do the same thing for our son, who iss now 18, and hopefully inculcate the values that will enable him to have a good living standard life that we currently enjoy. At the same time, I talk to my parents about issues encountered with life in general and always appreciate their advice, even if I don't always implement it. Remember, once the children grow up and become their own individuals, it's still parents responsibility to be there and continue to shape them as adults, but give them the freedom to live their own lives, make their own mistakes and allow tthem the opportunity to learn for themselves.

I'm a single father of sorts as I am raising my daughters in my home without their mother. I am not raising my girls to be independent or masculine. I'm raising girls that a man would be happy to call their wife. Now what they do when they are adults is beyond my control and I know that. My girls are 12 and 9 years old. The 12 year old cooks so well that she was invited to the TV show Chopped Jr last year. The 9 year old has just come on board with her desire to cook well. They both clean at a higher level and are fit since I am prior military. I try my best to make those tasks normal and not something that they dread. I don't know 100% if I'm getting that right yet. The best thing that I teach them is through my actions as a man that wants nothing from them. I love them for who they are as I mold them. My presence in their lives teaches them the value of a man. I could go on and on but my girls want to be wives and mommies above anything else.

Now I’m not a tyrant and understand that they are going to want to explore themselves and their desires. I DON’T hamper that in any way. I let them know what I would be dishonored by as their father. I think that’s working.

That effected my development and quantity of life and has required corrective surgeries as an adult that I’ve had to pay for. Not only has this effected me financially, buts it’s effected my credit, over all health, ability to work, sexual market place value, my time (most of my 20s being sick and recovering from surgeries, when I should have been out trying to meet a hubby). She thinks she's protecting her daughters from what she experienced as the downside of committing to a man, which was more or less her own poor decisions or inability to manage a relationship. A good parent teaches their children, male & female to be able to support themselves. For my daughter, she’s been taught that marriage is not necessarily the end-all, be-all. She alone is responsible for her happiness & that any man that comes into her life is to ENHANCE her happiness…. Not subtract from it! (Speaking primarily of her emotional health/ peace of mind). She has been taught that any relationship that is not mutually beneficial should end. The Bible speaks highly of a ‘Capable Wife’ in Proverbs chapter 31 and describes how a good wife behaves. She is hard-working, motivated & is trusted to handle certain business affairs independently of her husband…. But to his benefit (as it is to the entire family)! At the end of the day, my children, my daughter especially have been taught to care for themselves which is basic life skills. No parent should apologize for that.

Your rant lacks focus. Let's just zero in on woman for now - the main goal for a woman supporting herself is to tend to her basic needs and instincts. One of a woman's most prominent instincts is to be a mother - maternal. How shall a woman engage in this instinct by herself?

    • @deirdrebarley-cooper5698
      @deirdrebarley-cooper5698 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@curaze : I disagree. Not all women wish to be a mother. Not all women wish to be married. Neither of those things is necessary for happiness. At the end of the day, a woman’s first responsibility is to her own happiness. She needs to understand what she needs to be truly happy and IF she wishes to marry…… find a man that is compatible & supportive. The exact same is true for men. And if both the man & woman in the relationship have REAL love for each other (real love as described in the Bible), both of them will be so focused on caring for each other this whole argument is pointless! Additionally, my daughter has been raised to seek out emotionally mature, respectful , God-fearing men. Men who have proven by their actions & decision-making to be worthy of her trust. Once she finds such a man (And sadly, it’s a lot harder than y’all want to believe) they will make a great team! They will work hard to make sure the other is always ‘good’ and that the family is straight. Doesn’t get any better than that!

That’s basic. #2 - raising a daughter to be a wife is ridiculous because she may not want to be a wife/mother!! Children should be raised to whole & self-reliant…… and to seek out others who are whole & self-reliant. That’s the problem for a lot of men!
They are NOT whole (emotionally, mentally, spiritually or financially). They are NOT self-reliant! They realize that more black women have valued education & have better careers…. Make more money and are trying to latch on to them. Or, realize that they can’t keep up with her so they make this argument! (‘Don’t grow past me because I can’t keep up…… so I have no choice but to try to put you down for doing what you should…… because I haven’t!).

I didn't come with the full 'wife' package, but I busted my butt to fill in the spots where I was lacking. I took college courses in nutrition to better feed my family. I took classes in home economics and cooking. Now, not only do know how to feed a human adult, but I also understand the needs of children at different stages of development and can feed individuals for their specific medical situations. I've read TONS of books on childhood diseases and I'm pretty fair at diagnosing them. (I also know when to say, "Get that kid to the doctor! NOW!!"
Further, I took a course in butchery. I know how to break down a steer or a pig and how to process and preserve meat for the long-term. One Christmas my husband bought me an incredible set of butcher knives and they're proudly displayed on my dining room wall.
It took many years for my husband to understand that I'd actually developed real skills. Now it amazes him that I can get a stain out of anything and patch a jacket so that the rip is invisible. Last year my daughter brought over my granddaughter and a dead rabbit. She marched through the door and said it was time for grandma to teach the child how to skin, dress, break down, and cook the animal.
I was thrilled. We made an entire afternoon out of it. My granddaughter loved it and now knows how to make baked bunny/rice casserole. This winter I'm going to teach her how to make my special chicken soup that I call "An IV in a bowl." Guaranteed to soothe and nourish the sickest human being. (Lots of potassium. Low in allergens.)
I homeschooled our kids and cared for our special needs son. My greatest reward came one night when he and I were cooking. He blurted out, "I just wanted to thank you for being my mother. Had I been given to any other woman, I wouldn't have been okay. God knew what He was doing when he entrusted you with my soul."
I damn near bawled right there.
Motherhood is usually a thankless job (especially in this day and age) and it takes strength to maintain focus even when society is belittling you for your choice of career. I don't regret my decision.

My oldest daughter is 12 and the other is 4.
She cooks, cleans, hugs me after I come home from work (once I take my shoes off), hands me the TV remote, and brings me drinks and snacks when I text her from the spare bedroom where I work on the computer (that was *her* idea by the way. She pops her head in, hands me what I asked for, and waves before leaving and more.
Now that I think about it, I wonder what the other people in the virtual meetings think about that. My drink is empty on camera, it disappears, and then it reappears full again. Hahaha.
I'm thinking she is at the age when she should start writing a book of "Letters to My Future Husband" like the one her Mother wrote and gave me on our wedding day.
I make no apologies for making it clear that I am raising her to be "Super Wife". That is the goal and it's clearly expressed. She is determined to meet that goal. Not just because her Mother and I encourage her to but because she sees how miserable and worse off her rebellious aunt is, especially compared to the married ones.
By the way, she has hyper sensitive taste buds so she can't eat most things as the flavors overwhelm her. She makes delicious dinners with her mother and then eats whatever she is hungry for. My point is, that doesn't stop her from cooking so I can't help but laugh when women come on here who only know how to use the microwave.

Had I come into my relationship with my (now) husband with $140,000 in student loan debt, he never would've been able to marry me. It's a hell of a burden to put on someone. This is why women are all saying that the man has to make $250,000 a year. That's what it would take for one man to provide a house, two cars, food, medical, utilities, cell phones, AND two massive student loan payments. It's an insurmountable hurdle for the average person.
About fifteen years ago my niece called me, bawling her eyes out. The boyfriend she'd been living with had finally broke down and told her that he was never going to marry her... because she had $100,000 in student loan debt... and didn't even have a bachelors yet. She couldn't even afford to make her own payments. There just wasn't enough money for the load they both had PLUS children.
The funny thing is that I'd been uneasy about the student loans she'd been taking out when she was taking them. I kept asking her if she was SURE and forcing her to actually think about her earning potential. "Are those loans going to pay for themselves AND give you the life you would've had without them?"
She's now almost 40. Beautiful woman. Single. Childless. Never married. But hey! She finally got her BS! Now she can spend the rest of her life living alone, working for a company instead of working for her family... So much better... (that's sarcasm, in case anyone can't tell.)
And yes. She has a cat.

Before all of the factors that drove wages down (including globalism, oligarchic lawmaking, automation, and massive increases of women in the labor market), the years of education that a woman had, and her income, was a negative predictor of being married. The idea was that men would take care of the money making and women would be their support, and that women who didn’t land the man who could provide for a family went on to provide for themselves.
Now, women will decide that they can do it all on their own, leave their Child’s father, and try to do everything. Then they fill them up with this provide for yourself at all cost, feminist mentality that programs them to hate men, and the cycle continues.
