I watched this a month ago when I decided to finally accept that to a point--I am naturally lazy. My parents were able to provide me enough stability and resources that I had the privilege to be lazy about taking care of myself and getting my life together. Yeah, my family is toxic and I was parentified to take care of my younger siblings, but because I picked up on lessons easy and didn't have to work hard, I still had the opportunity to be lazy. Now that I'm adult, dropped out of college after my first semester and stayed at a shop job for 2 years. Something happened within the toxic family structure that crossed a boundary I didn't realize I mentally had set. I put backbone in myself to learn how to not be lazy and how to build myself past my personal barriers. I'm still working on it but I had to come to this after this past month. I'm going from Lola to Athena, and it's genuinely the hardest work I've had to do in my life. I'm starting a youtube business, starting freelancing and getting a part time job because it now feels worth it. I'm still learning from you and other self improvement people, but I can not stress how much good you've done for me. 💕

I think there is a lot of good stuff in this video, but it is important to recognize the difference between “laziness” and mental illness, chronic illness, and neurodivergence. There is often no way to just push through long term if you’re dealing with those. Instead, you have to find ways to work around those issues and make sure you are actually getting enough rest.

I was DONE with my lazy girl era. I’m pursuing 2 degrees in business. One in entrepreneurship and one in Human Resources w/a minor in project management. I’ve already accepted that I will be done in 4 years. I’m going back again for 4 more years for a PhD. I’ve discovered that these men aren’t dependable. I’m depending on me and that’s it. I know each week will add up to the bigger picture. I’m motivated and ready to go!! Disconnecting from it will be a HUGE problem since I have OCD which is why I said I want a PhD. 😩

2024 is such an important year for me!! im going to achieve my dreams, im going to work for it.
