from a 23 year old to the teenagers here: its lowkey scary seeing how many teenagers (not even 20 yet wow) feel awful about themselves for not being independent yet, social media has hugely fd up those born after 2006. Y'all are good enough okay, it's all a journey, plus you're the generation living in the hyper inflated cost of living across the world so try not to compare to older people just try to learn the principles they speak about. If you REALLY want to go for all this independent stuff at such a young age then make sure you're talking to real people in your own life about it BECAUSE that amount of pressure you put on yourself in your own head is not natural for your brain aka you're pre-frontal cortex doesn't fully develop until your early twenties SO make sure you're not going at big goals alone, talk to people regularly about it in person (not online) for support

Hey tam, my comments may go unnoticed, but I know that being noticed is not the purpose of my opinion. I see so many young, strong brained girls coming here and telling you how you are literally raising them and how far they’ve come. With each comment, my faith in humanity gets restored bit by bit. You are so loved, appreciated and so wise. For a while, I wanted to become exactly like you, but after watching dozens of your videos, I know that rather than wanting to become like you, I should aspire to become the highest version of ME. That’s what you preach and practice, right? You love authenticity, and so do I. I’m so proud of all the women coming here and trying to better their lives. Your videos help a lot more than you can imagine. Recently, I got applauded for my good presentation skills at college, by multiple teachers, and when I told this to my mom, she dismissed the whole thing and made it about herself. She was not at all appreciative and told me that it does not matter, and that there are other heights I need to conquer. I was very sad for a while, but then I thought to myself, what if tam was here? She would applaud for me, she would appreciate me and be proud of me. She would clap for me, and just that, just the thought of you staring at me in awe and confidence increased my self esteem so much. I understood that if I can be a person who can be proud of my friend who performs well, then are more like me. Anyways, my point being, you are a wonderful human being whose efforts aren’t going unnoticed. I wish you good luck and good health. ❤

getting out of your comfort zone is so important! i really feel like i wouldn't have 95% of what i have today if i had never decided to do things i wanted to do regardless of the outcomes i feared

  • @meileverse
    @meileverse 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +77

I literally just got scared and almost not continued with renting my own place and then you showed up with this video lol.
For people I have to say this; no matter how many difficult things I have done in my life (27f) and I have done so many, from moving to multiple countries, having many different challenging jobs, being rejected, things not working out and starting over, marrying someone and after 9 years of mostly beautiful memories divorcing because we grew apart... Volunteering and living with strangers, having very little or no money. So much trauma in my childhood and having to heal and forgive so many people (like give me a break). I'm an introvert and no matter how many things I have done IT IS SCARY every single time.... Every time. But I keep going. The fear never goes away, you just learn to accept it. Even now when I'm on the verge of my new chapter of living alone for the first time I'm terrified. I'd rather do any of the things I listed above all over again because that is that; I have already did them and know what's gonna happen and how to overcome them. New things... Different story. But still, the faith in my heart is so much stronger than fear and I wish you all the same in your life. I believe you.

    Hey Tam Kaur
My name is Liliyana and I'm 14 years old
Just wanted to say thank you so much because if it wasn't for you I would have never gone on my self love journey six months ago,I would have never cut out those toxic friends, never started making a vision board that manifests itself ,taking less than what I deserve from people, having a scarcity mindset, having low value traits, being insecure about dumb things, caring about what others think etc.
Now I am in a point of my life where I am SELF OBSESSED❤,love me more than anyone,I have an abundant mindset,I have an IDGAF mindset, self confident, have friends that really align with me,trying to be 1% percent better daily, affirmations daily, daily journaling daily,a solid morning routine, solo dating❤,catering to my needs and so much more and I am BUYING MYSELF THE DAMN FLOWERS
I love and adore you so much Tam and congrats on the 1 million plus subscribers and new apartment🎉🎉
Keep doing what you are doing my wonderful queen
    Love Liliyana
P.S Im just ending here cause if I had to write all the things you have done for me... I'll writing a whole book❤

And there is a lot of pressure on me to be self independent by myself , even my family members pay my tuition fees where I don't feel like it, I don't do many things because when I become self independent I will do them by myself. But I never went out of my comfort zone. But in the future I will try something to earn money online. thank you tam sis you are like my elder sister

I loved the 'seeking rejecion, failure' part. I saw some girls doing it and posting it on social media. For example, one of the girls said 'Today, I'm gonna go to the shop and ask one banana for free (I know this is embarrassing).' Before she asked she was really scared and this was definetely a point of doing that.

I was again procrastinating, just searching for something to watch on TH-cam for the past 2 hours. I have my final 1st-year exam starting from 11th..and tbh the syllabus is vast that's why I am lacking (THAT'S NOT FUCKING TRUE I AM JUST BEING ADDICTED TO BE IN THIS CONFORT ZONE)!!! I truly love virtual sis, so when the notification popped up I just couldn't hold myself from clicking it. Thank you again for making me realize that I am more than what I am today.

Last year in my old school, I had come as the new girl in high school, I was so shy that I didn't go up to anyone or speak to anyone and as a result, I was alone for a whole school year. Now I've moved country and so glad I watched this video because I'm gonna try and talk to people now.

Hey Tam! I love you so much I've been listening to your advice for sometime now and now I'm getting closer to my dream self. But I want you tackle this question in a video " getting inspired without copying?". There's this girl that inspires so much cuz of her confidence and her art of not giving a f but sometimes ppl tell me "wow you are becoming like that girl" and now I don't know if I'm copying or getting inspired by her. Thanks ❤

Chapter number 1-Dangers for staying in your comfert zone.
1: you cannot tell what is good for you or what is bad for you.
    2 : limited growth.
3: The longer you stay in the comfert zone the harder it is to escape.
4: staying in comfort zone robs you of so much wisdom learning and new knowledge.
    Chapter number 2- Why discomfort
    Chapter number 3 - homework
1 -Ask yourself what would future me do?
What would the highest version of myself do?
What would the successful business-minded, growth mindset, killing it at life version of myself how would she respond?
    Where would she go?
How would she talk to this person?
How would she spend her weekend?
    Her morning everything?
Your brain could not tell the difference between a real and an imagined experience. The more you are exposing your brain to this picture and this idea in your head , it will gonna become your reality.
Your actions your habits your visions are gonna change.
    2- Portfolio of proof.
(It was scary before but it's okay)
    3- rejection therepy.
( Intensionally seeking rejection for kicking comfert zone)
    4- embrace your reverse indicator.
( Take another route to go home, try different look, go out with new friends of group)
    • How are you going to scare yourself so that you become unstoppable and extremely disciplined.
