I had open heart surgery so the snipping and rearranging has been somewhat similar for me so I can only relate to you or empathise on that level but I want you to know you’re gonna be okay. I know anaesthetic is soooo fucking scary but please try not to be. They know when you’re knocked out, they do tests and are incredibly thorough for every surgery, I know it still happens sometimes but it’s so rare. Recovery is always a bitch because it hurts and you will feel weird for a while, but you’re gonna be a bad ars motherfucker after. One thing I would be wary of is swelling can distort how it looks initially so give it a good six months to see the permanent result if that makes sense. Good luck and keep us posted! So excited for you x
Great news for you! I also finally got my note from my insurence, that they will take the costs for my surgery, with the doctor that I want. Super happy!
Hey jake! So what you were saying about discomfort, I got top surgery (well kinda it was a reduction but similar healing process with the nips and just slightly more incisions) and during the healing it was uncomfortable but you honestly feel so much better because it’s not nearly as bad as the discomfort and dysphoria from your chest before the surgery. I was up and doing stuff the day after with minimal pain and just overall very happy to have that weight off of me and putting the past in the past. I also found that weed helps with discomfort when you don’t wanna take pain meds anymore
I'm so excited for you! I've recently become sure that I want top surgery but it's gonna take time for me to even apply because I don't have time for the recovery since I'm in uni in Scotland and I'm from Finland and I should get it done there.. Not sure what I'm gonna do about that...
Jake as new reason for life. I so proud for our internet, because I can see the human, who seriously will be reason for be alive :) Wish your chanel more subscribes c: You're soooo cute)
wow when I first transitioned there were NO ftm ppl on youtube who wore makeup or presented in gender non-conforming ways at ALL and that was super isolating. it's so fucking wild how much more trans media we have out here even just in the past few years. thanks for the informing video!!
I just had half top surgery recently (yup. that's a thing... only half of my chest is flat...) and even then the recovery is a bitch cause I can't move my arm that much. Other than that it's not too bad. but be a pain in the ass, feel like a king and take as much time as you can get!
so another TH-camr i watch did this and figured i'd mention it to you: would you consider making a "top surgery bucket list" video? basically a list of the things you're most excited to experience after top surgery....like one of his big goals was to wear a white t shirt without a binder (Just an example)...I can link the video if that would be helpful?
mothby yeah! here: Bucket list (he posted this before surgery) th-cam.com/video/8ebBt1WFBss/w-d-xo.html Bucket list review (where he goes back over his bucket list after he had surgery) th-cam.com/video/18sjuwmWnrE/w-d-xo.html
I was worried about that awake thing too but, thank God, it didn't happen. I just thought about you recently, wondering if you're EVER going to get top surgery. Why have you had to wait so long?
I have realised that I am transgender not long ago. But when I did I realised why I always wear sport bras, feel discomfort when people say something about my boobs because I don't want them!! And all I have done through my life is proof of what I feel and what I have realised. But it aches because I m 18, my family would probably not accept it except my brother that have said that he thinks that I have a boys brain. I am trying to get an ADHD investigation, I have to go get glasses and I have to do alot of things so I have to let this wait, but it kind of aches anyhow. But seeing your videos makes me happy no matter if it has to do with me and disphoria, or just me having anxiety. You are so awesome and I hope your surgery goes well
Wow y'all have to wait pretty long! I'm 3 months on T and here in Germany the only issue really is that you have to be 6 months on T and that your therapist gives ya a go. I've had 2 consultations so far and both times the surgeons were just like "what are you doing here already, you're not 6 months on T yet" but it was fine and their waiting lists are only 3-4 weeks. So basically I'll probably be able to have top surgery just after I hit 6 months on T, if my body isn't changing too much then. Of course I'm super impatient and even another 3 months seem like they're forever away lol
Bist du schon 18 Monate in nachgewiesener Therapie? Weil sonst machen die Krankenkassen ja gerne mal Stress.
slightly odd question. but have you had to send any blood work or anything down to your surgeon and if so have you had an difficulties/ do you have any tips on how you can actually get this done smoothly. I'm having a fair amount of trouble getting my doctors to communicate for non-trans related surgery and i dont really want to go through this multiple times
"Choose a surgeon on the NHS" xD Not for me. Scotland: we just get funnelled into the one English service that takes us because there is not a single top surgeon in the whole of Scotland.
As far as I could see from my noseying around google there isn't any top surgeons in Ireland either or at least no one that was really appearing for me. I think I'd prefer to go to England anyway because more people means more people have been to the surgeon which means more information and hopefully better results.
Um. I...am personally not trans. I identify as female. But. I still want top surgery. Is that disrespectful or bad? I just want a flat chest... but the last thing i wanna do is offend someone
Of course it's not disrespectful if you want it for yourself! I know a few women who have had a breast reduction or even a full mastectomy! You'll have to probably talk to a surgeon abour it and they might tell you to get a therapist to get you the green lights first though. But if that's what you want for yourself you're in no way disrespecting anyone!
I’m a little confused as you’ve said you’re non binary, so what is it about the surgery you hope to achieve if you’re neither or either gender? Don’t take this as an “attack” or “judgement”, I just want to understand where your mind is at at present.
Luke G Tv he stated pretty clearly that what he hopes to achieve is a flat chest. There is no “non-binary body”, whatever makes an individual person most comfortable and least dysphoric is the right choice for them.
Megan Mays like I stated pretty clearly earlier, I wasn’t judging I just wanted to understand whether this was about a flat chest to look more masculine or just because it’s a body change that feels most comfortable regardless of gender. Also if someone is non binary do you use the term “he”?
Luke G Tv I never said you were judging, I simply pointed out the part of the video that was applicable. He’s specifically stated he prefers he/him pronouns, so yes, that’s what you use.
Yup, at least with double incision, not sure abour peri. But basically because they cut the nipple out, there is a chance it might not reconnect with the new tissue after it'S reinserted and so it could die off! Crazy, huh? But yeah, I'm still definetly getting it too ha ha
I'm so excited for you! :D
Please tell Alex to film you while you are under the drugs and all loopy😂😂😂
Good luck with everything, excited for you! ❤️🌈😊
Congratulation Jake!
If you're really worried about anesthesia awareness you can request extra monitors so that they can tell if you're conscious
chronicallyvegann I’m Chronically I’ll and vegan :0 and trans
Good luck!! So excited for you!!!
I'm really happy for you!!!!!

Yay!!! I'm very happy for you, can't wait for more updates!
Really excited for you man!!!! Fingers crossed you get your date soon.
LOVE all the highlight. what a look.
Jake I did the same shortest wait list lol my surgery is in 5 months so excited.
WOAH U LOOK SO PRETTY BLESS U!! you’re doing a wonderful job n if anyone needs this today, you’re valid and things will get better 💛💛
dude I'm so excited for you, so cool to hear about the next step in your transition. Also looking hella cool as usual
congrats!
I'm really hoping to get a top surgery about the same time as you, so I hope it all goes well for the both of us!
Looking forward to seeing the results.
Great news for you! I also finally got my note from my insurence, that they will take the costs for my surgery, with the doctor that I want. Super happy!
Whoooo! Congrats! That's amazing!
Thank you!
Where did you find out the different wait times for all the different surgeons? And how long was the wait for Prof Drew?
Am in love with your style omg😘👌👌👌
Congrats Jake! :)
Love your make up!
Also thanks for everything.

I'm getting top surgery in August and I'm terrified of anesthesia awareness too yikes
You look so good, I love your makeup!
I'm so excited for you! I've recently become sure that I want top surgery but it's gonna take time for me to even apply because I don't have time for the recovery since I'm in uni in Scotland and I'm from Finland and I should get it done there.. Not sure what I'm gonna do about that...

I'm a trans guy who wears makeup!! You're so cute and your highlight is blinding affff

WHERE'S MISHA?!?! Thank you ☺️❤️
*twitch* youtuber senpai noticed me :P
Glad to hear you're so excited Jake, best of luck and wishes for you :D
I love your descriptions 😂
I'd love to be certain of what I want...I've got my first appointment soon and im so uncertain, all I know is something has to change.
Also. Congrats!!
I didn't think that irrational fear was so common! You're definitely not alone on that front.
The best description of surgery 😂👌 hahaha

VLOG IT
Internal happy scream
Im also shit scared of anaesthesia awareness lol
I can't wait to have a flat chest either.
"Choose a surgeon on the NHS" xD
Not for me. Scotland: we just get funnelled into the one English service that takes us because there is not a single top surgeon in the whole of Scotland.
I would like to clarify that I'm not unhappy with my surgeon. She's lovely and I'm fairly confident in her abilities.
As far as I could see from my noseying around google there isn't any top surgeons in Ireland either or at least no one that was really appearing for me. I think I'd prefer to go to England anyway because more people means more people have been to the surgeon which means more information and hopefully better results.
lucky you, im in new zealand its almost impossible to get surgery covered, gotta pay your
self
Ethan H Aye, I acknowledge that's the case for a lot of places. I might hae a wee gripe aboot the travel but I'm ultimately fairly greatful.
👍👍👍

Keylime Kin of course not !! I’m cis and I what top surgery badly
I'd be so scared my nipple would fall off x-x

prettiest boy ever hot damn
YOU CAN LOSE A NIPPLE!!!!!!! WHAT?!?! NO ONE TOLD ME THIS!! I'm still going to get it but wtf
Yup, at least with double incision, not sure abour peri. But basically because they cut the nipple out, there is a chance it might not reconnect with the new tissue after it'S reinserted and so it could die off! Crazy, huh? But yeah, I'm still definetly getting it too ha ha
Yup, it's not super likely, but it is a surgery risk. Just like getting a bloodclot or whatever.
You can get one tattooed on if it happens. (Or you can choose to not have your nipples put back on and just opt for the tattoo route from the start)
I love jake 😢😢😍😍😍😍💖
