When you take it directly out of the holster you can turn it on right away from the button, amazing you did not know this.
You do not have to turn the knob to come out of lockout. You hold the button down for about 1/2 second.
Im a big fan of the magnetic cap, both for sticking the light to my motorcycle or car when working on them. Also don't know how many a times I've lost a tiny screw where I grab my olight (as I know where it is) and a minute of sweeping the floor, I've got it back.

lol. I just lost a screw on my carpet last night. So what else to do but grab one of my OLIGHTs and turn it on… found it but can’t believe I didn’t think to use the magnet 😂😂

I’m actually a flashlight guy, (also vacuum guy but that’s a conversation for another day 😆)
I own a plethora of DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi and a few other “Amazon” lights. With that said this light just gave me the damm itch!
When you pointed at the dark woods on turbo I had a grin and bobbed my head

Daddy got one. They threw a 4 hour flash sale at us in UK on top of the 40% off offer. I was already hovering on the AddToCart button and that just pushed me over the edge. Plus a free i3r plus a gobus(?) and I had no chance to resist
Id like to see an update to Milwaukee's M12 metal flashlight 2355-21 since it has been discontinued maybe the Gen 2 could have 2000 lumens instead of just 800!!
Olight is in a league of their own, but sometimes I kinda scratch my head on their decisions. What was a positive touch is they listened to Customer feedback, and will send me and anyone else who bought the Warrior Mini 3, an extra rear tail cap piece, to allow alternate carry option. And I think that upping their warranty to ‘Lifetime’ for anything purchased after First of this year, is a nice touch, and speaks to their commitment to Customers, and belief in their product. Your beam shots were very nice and clear, and it looks like this puts out some great light, and may get ‘placed’ into my shopping cart! 😆 👍 Stay safe!
I am 50/50 on the lifetime warranty, as I have watched Ridgid burn with disgust over peoples dissatisfaction with it.

The problem I have run into several times with Olights is that their warranty doesn't actually last for too long, even if they claim it's 3 years, 5 years, or lifetime. In reality, it's the period of their short production for each light. Once they stop manufacturing a certain light (often less than a year) they will tell you the light is discontinued, they have no parts, and the only thing they will offer you is a 30% discount on a new light , one currently being manufactured. Happened with both my Wave headlamps and original r40 Seeker. Every time, they had no parts and could only offer the discount. Buy them because they make great lights, don't put any stock into a meaningless 3 or 5-year, or even 'lifetime warranty'. Realize that the only warranty you will get (unless your light fails quickly) is 30% discount off of a new light.

My only issues are that the battery is proprietary and it doesn't have a clip or hole for a lanyard or any other tether. That "holster" is just too damn big to carry around it. They do well in so many other ways, just don't buy at full price, wait for one of their big sales where they give you a 30%+ discount and free i3T EOS and other little freebies.

This light would be epic with an add on waist battery pack for hours of full power lighting . ( Olight ya listening )
I've never owned an Olight and am considering this one for a trekk I have planned to scotland (North of UK). I've been to wales (West of UK) where I planned to stay out for a few nights, unfortunately I missed the train I needed to get there so by the time I arrived at my end destination it was getting fairly dark. I had some torches on me but they were either too small in capacity or inconvinient to grab so I think something like this would be great to clip onto my backpack strap or belt for when I need it. (This wouldn't be the only torch I'd take either, alway's a battery swappable too)
I've noticed many mentioning the type-c port not being on the torch. At least for my use case the port would simply be a vulnerability to it's function in certain situations, water, dirt, dust could enter and make it redundant unless you double check that rubber plugs in (which will eventually break from constant opening) personally I'd rather the holster break and then have to buy and carry around a magnetic cable than have to buy a new torch all because I wanted to only carry a type-c on me (of which could also fail unexpectedly).
Get an Oport. It's small and fits on a keychain. Then all you'll need is your USB C cable. Olight had them on thier site, but I don't see them any more. I don't know, all the people who cry about magnetic charging could have got one of these. Maybe discontinued due to lack of interest? In any case, if Olight put a usb c port on the light, I know some people would whine about the light not coming with a lightning port or wireless charging. 1:59 1:59
You seem to have forgotten about just taking out the battery and putting in a charger. That’s 3 charging methods… not bad!
I have forgotten that. I never seem to use my emistar flashlights anymore because I need to remove the battery to charge them.

If you have this light on your belt and you sit in a CAPTAINS chair with arm rest have the light in the holster with the switch facing IN and NOT OUT otherwise you will turn it on if you bump the switch

My only downfall is the fact that it only charges usbc to usba I have a newer usbc to usbc amd it will not charge. Also the older magnetic charger won't work either. I own 4 of these and have been an owner since 2012 otherwise it's an awesome light. I got the white for ease to see
I don’t understand why they don’t use a usbc port on the battery. So if you forget the mcc or lose it you can charge the battery directly. Iv been asking for this and a handheld version of the new pl turbo, with an 18350 battery.
They want to feel special. Even my $500 flash light only has c type charging. 😂
I rather like the MCC set up (easily connected and more robust) over the USB system for charging batteries. I've got both OLights and several Streamlights and the Olights are far easier to charge since I don't have to remove the battery to do so.
I wasn’t saying to take away the mcc in place of usbc. I was suggesting they should add a usbc port to the battery as a backup charging method.
The proprietary charging system and batteries are real turn offs. I end up going Fenix or Nitecore instead a lot of the time.

That’s why there are so many lights on the market, everyone has different needs. I’m a big big UI guy. So the UI of Olight far exceeds the lack of conventional charging Olight offers. If you had an Olight for the truck and one for the pocket and something for the home, they will all come with charging cables so you could have one in the glove compartment, one at an office, one at home anywhere you need it. Not optimal, I get it, nothing really is. They also offer the mcc pad you could keep on a key ring, or in a travel bag and you could plug a USBc cable into the mcc pad to charge any Olight.
Why is it meant to be button facing out, Does it fit in the other way? I thought that split / groove was to fit the pocket clip if you have one installed.
I would say for a cop they could use the Warrior Mini 2 or Warrior Mini 3
Stop being so picky, lol. We all have a million magnetic olight cables. I think this is my favorite larger olight. The imini2 is my favorite small olight. Olight is similar to Lay's... YOU CAN'T JUST OWN ONE! 😊
I have a baton 3 pro so am good for an MCC or use the holster to charge but still would have liked another MCC included with the s4p. It's not a deal breaker by any means but it still feels like a back of head niggle sometimes.
I USE MY SEEKER 3 FOR DUTY. I LOVE IT. LAST MY WHOLE SHIFT (12-15 HOURS) AND MORE.
I'M GOING TO GET THIS SEEKER 4 PRO. THE EXTRA 400 LUMENS AND CHARGING CASE IS A MUST HAVE FOR ME. GREAT VIDEO.

No, but it wont fit well, so you know it is in wrong.
I think most of your complaints are very personal, and do not reflect the average consumer. For example, the lack of usb-c charging makes it far more water/dustproof, thus more durable. The magnet is almost necessary anymore. for that i think have two lights, one with a magnet and one without. i dont do anything major and i use the magnet on my flashlight at least once a day, its a 3rd hand. Not saying your review was bad, actually i quite like the opionated review it shows honesty. Commenting for the algorithm and to let you know i disagree lol
The proprietary batteries always bothered me. I had one in the past charging cable stopped working so i had no way of charging until I bought a new cable.I ordered one while staring at my battery charger on my desk.
I'm going to have to respectably disagree with what appears to be some nitpicking. You are welcome to your opinion... but can't say I can agree. Here's my reasoning...
Having an external usb-c on the light ruins the wonderful water resistance rating the magnetic charging makes possible. So that's something I hope they never do. I'm thinking the charging case is the best example of compromise they could come with to provide the best of both worlds outside of the magnetic charging adapters they previously released.
Nitpicking about the case getting lost or broken... at the end of the day you still need a usb-c cable and charging brick with you and if they wear out (as they do) or you forget them you still wouldn't be able to charge anything. If we want to be prepared to keep devices charged... we make sure to have more than one cable and they aren't that expensive. This was the same for phones (lightning, usb, micro-usb, usb-c) for years. So purchasing a spare cable (or a second charging case) for a flashlight isn't a new concept.
I'm a normal guy who works a night shift. I got the light and purchased a separate horizontal case as I dislike items on my belt that aren't in-line with my belt. The the charging cases were relatively inexpensive during the initial sale at around $12 USD if I recall correctly... so now I have two (one to mount and one to carry). Granted... this isn't my first olight so I have several cables, a MCA, and a omino charging strip.
My phone is usb-c but has great battery life just like the flashlight. But... considering I like to be prepared I got a olight MCA (magnetic charging adapter) brick that also accepts usb to usb-c cable. This way in case I'd forgotten to charge my lights, phone, or devices I have a means.
I haven't had any issues so far with loose metal and preventing the light from seating. Granted I'm not a tradesman... but if you have that much loose metal in your cab... it seems you have a different issue. I will confess that the magnetic cables to like to attract each other... but you just need to get some cable management for that. They make little silicone rubber cable holders you can stick to things to hold cables away from loose metal.
All perfect points! You are correct. If I do not go deep into each tool and do not bring all these items up, people new to the tools complain. I try to give all the info people need to make up their own mind on if they want the tool or not. In this case, many of the small issues do not bother you. That is perfect!
The Warrior X4 and Marauder 2 both have exposed USB ports and are still waterproof (The covers on them are not sealed). Just like any phone, you can have USB exposed and totally waterproof.
Nice light but I don't believe 4600 lumens with one battery.
It could. My 40,000 lumen flash light has only 3 battery in it. 4,600 is that much light.

They are actually very close to what they claim, unlike many others
Tested by Cheule, Flashaholic I believe and others with a lumen tube. Olight generally hits their specified turbo max lumens (which on this light even holds the ~4600 to ANSI standard and declines very slowly over two minutes). They also reach OVER on the low, mid, high settings.
Nitecore is better (20ix). The button on the side is not tactile and cumbersome. The lockout is a terrible idea and flashlights with buttons on the back are way better. Great light built like a tank but not good for turning on fast. If the buttons were on the back it would definitely be the GOAT.
Eh all preference, some ppl hate the tail buttons. Olight has a lifetime warranty which crushes nitecore. Magnetic back is awesome, more versatile.

I own the Seeker2Pro as a bicycle light, bought some others but the absolute queen is Baton3ProMax with warm white.
Great presentation, this one would be overkill for most tasks.
The Baton 3 Pro Max in warm white lives on my nightstand where it is perfect. I don't know why they don't make more. I also wish they would offer the magnesium version in neutral white or warm white. I order the Seeker 4 Pro as it came in a neutral white version.
Need! Get and Olight and you will WANT another one straight away 🤣

@@jaynesierakowska3120yep, i bought the White version from USA. I live in Romania, the paperwork for Custom was a nightmare but the flashlight is really nice.
