you didnt mention or show but after you slide it on it seems for me you need to tighten it, i dont have it i just think you should do it because if you think about it if you can slide it on and there is no further security it can just slide off as well😀
Thank you for making good rewiew 👍 I found that car halogen light is about 1000 lumens and car HID gas light about 1800 lumens. It was great comparison to car light. Not bad for bike light in that price 👌
I have this light and 10000 lumen is a lie. This light has 8x1W LED. So You get about 800 lumens. 10000 lumens would require 100 Watts!!! This light has two standard 21700 batteries with total real capacity around ~35Wh. 10000 lumens would deplete those batteries in ~20 minutes! Also max discharge rate for one battery is ~8A (~30W). So 60W total with two. This means 6000 lumens max. Another problem would be a heat generated. Sorry guys but math does not lie.
Great input and thanks for putting in the numbers. I was hoping someone would comment on the numbers as I only did crude, quick experiments in the video. I am in agreement with you that the 10000 lumen may be an exaggeration because the brightness decreases over time. The light stayed on for the 4 hours at high power setting but the brightness was quite a bit less at the end of the 4 hours. I have no way of measuring the lumens but I can only show pictures of the brightness over the 4 hour time period. Thanks again!
@@robhamtom Thanks. I have no affiliation with them. I’m just a normal guy trying to build up my channel. Please Subscribe and like? Anyway, I will be putting out a video later today showing 1) battery life over time and brightness over time, 2) output charging for the cell phone, and 3) views of the light on paved trail, wooded trails, and a football field so you can get a better frame of reference.
Thanks for watching! It was new as of last night and has only been used about 10 minutes. I don't have a method to measure the intensity loss over time but I was thinking I can take pictures of scenery outdoors in the dark and compare the brightness over time. I do plan to also check the battery life over time. I can post those results on my channel. Stay tuned!
I performed 3 tests over a 2 hour period. The first test was a visual light intensity test where I took a picture (in a dark room) and compared the brightness at the beginning and end of the two hours. Over the two hour period, the brightness was slightly less at the end. But it was still bright. The second test was to check the battery life (measured in minutes) and consistency of the readout on the unit. On the low intensity mode, the battery life (initial reading 7:30, final reading 5:30) was consistent with my stopwatch over the 2 hour period. My third test was to measure the temp of the unit over the 2 hours. The temperature peaked and stayed at the 105.6F from 40-60 minutes. But it did start to come down and was at 102.6F at the end of the two hours. I'll capture more data over the month for light intensity and battery life after several uses and charges.
Yes. Mine is the lig015 with 17 LEDs. The lig010 has 8 LEDs. I think this is a good product for its price. Plenty bright and good battery life for my needs.

I am more curious on if this is more bright, or the vicmax A8 is more bright. If you know which is the Vicmax A8 I mean. Also, if this compare to the previous newboler, ithe 6000 lumens , is this 10,000 lumens for real? Because many buyers been saying this is actually not "surprising" if compare to the previous newboler 8000 lumens that one in open area. And that caused me dare not buy this 10000 lumens newboler.
I have no equipment to measure lumens so it will be more subjective by comparing one light to the next. I don’t have the lights that you mention, but I have other ones that I can compare to. I may also try to buy other 10,000 lumen bike lights to see the difference. I may also buy a lux meter to measure.
@@CalisthenX-in5 No no please don't waste your money, brother!!!! In fact you already did very very already , when I saw your this newboler testing outdoor, I did very much wanted to buy, because I currently have a few NOT so bright bicycle light, such as 1800 lumens, and 3600 lumens, but they don't seem bright once outdoor. @@CalisthenX-in5 Hi hello brother, may I have one small favor from you please please reply. May I ask what is the distance this 10,000 lumens newboler would shine? Suck as how many meters, or feet this bicycle light can shine to???
Yes. I will take a video riding on paved trails and wooded trails so you get an idea of the brightness/distance in front (and side) this light is looking. I'll also bring it to a football field so you can get a measurement comparison.
Is this light a joke??? 10,000 lumens is going to blind every car user going and you'll get nothing but abuse from everybody. Who needs that kind of power unless you're off road riding on trails etc. The police should arrest anybody using high power on that thing. I can see many accidents due to the irresponsible idiots who will use it just to annoy people. You haven't mentioned anything about battery size, as you mentioned that it can output also. What are the charging times from low to full?
I hear ya. I bought it for trails late at night. I did a short 35 min charge test. For the bike light, it charged my iPhone 14+ from 24%-37% using 2% of the battery life. It would probably take 4 hours to charge the phone from low to high and use about 14% of the bike light battery. Just for reference, a 35min test using a 2.4A charger took my phone from 24-48% charge.
