It has Emily GT from Trollhättan + some Lucid Air design. Which is fine. If I could get my hands on this at this price point in Europe, I would not hesitate to buy one.
It should also come in an estate/wagon/kombi version. Would really like to see a review of this version as I find the rear of this car ugly. An estate car would also be more popular in Europe, as we like practical cars.
Strange that Zeekr think that we want a small boot opening instead of a hatch like Polestar 2; Maybe it is cheaper / stronger that way, or do people really want small boot openings?
The big hatch is one the advantages of the PS2 over the Model 3. Obviously, looking like a Scandinavian design muscle car, rather than a dead fish, is another one. Just my subjective opinion.
Really love the design ❤❤ And actually a new car with some colors, yellow is awesome, and interior looks cool Hope to see it here in Europe Slovenia 😊 Another great video Elliot
I foresee EVs to become more “boring” as autonomous driving improves. People will be more interested in the interior for lounge like comfort instead of exterior and performance. Especially with the new generation that’s not keen on driving like we used to be.
While I'm sure that will be true of many family orientated vehicles, just look at the popularity of SUVs (Slow, Unwieldy, Vehicle), there is every reason that as batteries become lighter and the performance and efficiency of ever lighter motors improves, fun will definitely remIan available for those that want it. You only have to look at the aftermarket options today, to see there is definitely a market for those that enjoy driving.
If there's one segment that hasn't been touched upon enough yet, it's the sub-1000kg EV, certainly there's a plethora of examples in China. **Writing to Santa** _I wish I wish Stellantis will pull its nose out of its own A-double-S and build a true and honest EV Citroën 2CV for the 21st century. Amen!_
What did you think about this car compared to the SU7 Max? It seems like most people are leaning towards the SU7 even though they are pretty similar speed on track or straight line.
Zeekr have been doing this for longer so I would not go for the Gen 1 Xiaomi. They still need to iron things out whereas Zeekr know what they are doing.
@@_MANASYt That sounds perfect. The Zeekers and Lynk Z10 you sit so high in the car your head is almost against the ceiling. I kept trying to lower the seat and it wouldn't go down enough.
Very interested in this! Currently driving a BYD E2 and looking to upgrade. Was originally thinking to get a BMW i3 Edrive 40L but now looking ar Zeekr 007 too. This performance version looks amazing! That acceleration would be addictive I'm sure.
Saab?!? Where did you get that from Eliot? The designers may be from Sweden but there are no similarities to the “Emilia”. The 007 will, whatever we think about it, will be a good platform car for other “coach builders” Lotus, Volvo, Polestar, Mercedes/Smart (and other Geely brands (too many)).
Never been a fan of light coloured seat belts. Seat belts are dirt and grease magnets, especially where kids are concerned - think jammy sandwich hands or ice cream. The colours (look) great, but (aren't) terribly practical. Having to regularly scrub them clean would grow old pretty quickly.
good to see Zeekr has finally gotten rid of its Lynk&Co copycat headlights. while it's a nice design, it was so confusing and weird in terms of branding.
European car reviewers have overlooked one important point when evaluating Chinese cars. Most of them include on-board intelligent systems and automatic driving assistance systems, which are much ahead of European cars. Maybe because they don't know how to use the Chinese system.
I guarantee that if that makes it to Europe and the UK it will need a name change! Not a chance that the Broccoli family (who own everything 'James Bond') will allow that without a big payment from Zeeker.
I think you are being a little hard on the EV experience. Yes there are a lot of family EVs that are good at the day to day without exciting the driver, but that was true of the average family car when everything was ICE powered. Its true that we haven't seen enough of the GTE, GTi, Abarth, Brabus kind of treatment as yet, but I'm sure as energy density of batteries helps EVs become lighter than their ICE equivalents and motors will continue to get lighter and more efficient, the option to have quick and enjoyable EVs will get easier and cheaper. Of cause we will also need designers and manufactures to be willing to spend time and money on the dynamics and feel of the car, which given how easy it is to distribute the weight in an EV should in time become vastly superior to any ICE powered car. PS Please, no more fake engine noises and pretend gearboxes.
You need to talk less in superlatives and more in actual useful information. ‘Unique armrest’? But WHY? And you’re praising the driving dynamics like ten times, without even saying ONCE what makes it so good! 😅
Electric cars pre-Tesla didn't look ordinary enough. Now they look too ordinary? They're too much like appliances? Most ICEs are appliances. We need more yellow? I hope not.
What is the real reason why chinese EVs are do inexpensive? Is there any VAT, incentives to consumer/manufacturer etc? Have not heard a good explination yet ehy we pay 2-3x the price in Europe 🤔
@@ruiqianren9405 But would that not mean significantly negative margins on these viehcles in China? It is not like manufacturers are making 100% margins in europe

I downvote this video bcuz you did miss alot off points that this car stands for like MILEAGE AND QUICK CHARGE!!! Other then that your review was very cliche
Visually it's a mess. Those colour matched wheels look terrible. Otherwise, not sure why you're so enthusiastic about the design - there's bits of Lucid Air, EV6, Taycan and Lotus Emeya. Just fairly generic aero coupe shape.
I hope your British government will be as wise as it has been for the last 14 years and put 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs (like your older brothers from America did).
Presenting a car with the name "007", you really missed the opportunity to introduce yourself like: "My name is Richards, Elliot Richards"
Mr Bond is considered woke soyboy that likes men nowadays, so nothing aspirational in that movie character anymore

Great design. I'm not a fan of the all glass roof, though. Are there any manufacturers that still make cars with metal roofs...
Seriously? 0 shots of the full front dash or showing the handling with corresponding shots of the road, just 70% screen filled with your face talking.
Was the weight even mentioned once in this video
that design is super futuristic....can throw 100k only for deisgn
