No worries. Wasn't really a misstep, it's just that they were intended to be Lynk&Co cars as they were conceived before Zeekr was even thought of, and it's a lot of effort to change all that at short notice.
It's a tough call but I'd probably say the 007. The L6 is ugly as sin so that's out right away, though I haven't driven it yet. SU7 runs the 007 very close and is better in some areas but the Zeekr in that yellow Kung-fu edition would edge it for me.
Hi Mark been looking forward to your review of this Zeekr 007 , it has been hi on my anticipation list, really is a special car isn't it, can't wait for these to come to Australia. How much extra for the golden battery? 🔋 Great review, Great Car ,loved the opening location that was beautiful. Loved your review on that big people mover you just recently done too that was great what a luxurious vehicle that was.. You're a lucky man Regards John
Hi John Good to hear from you again. Really is a special car this one, yes. Amazing to look at, really good to drive with a very good ride. Interior is a little bland but hey ho, the other stuff makes up for it. Looked lovely down by a big lake in Kunming. And yes, the X9 was great too. I had a look for the price of the Golden battery and couldn't find a definitive answer on their site so I'll reach out and ask them for an answer and get back to you.
I really think Zeekr are going to be a Significant Brand their quality and engineering seems to excel others just that bit more, and I say this because I watched a recent video in America on TH-cam , and they compared the Model Y Dual motor, Xpeng G6, Zeekr X Single motor and and the Avatar 12 and I could tell by his reactions that he liked the Zeekr the Most , Very interesting I thought 🤔💭
@@johnharris4600 I'm a huge fan of their SEA platform. I had the opportunity to drive two SEA cars back to back recently, plus an XPeng G6, a Li, and a BYD on a horrific bit of road where I live. The 007 was outstanding on it, despite no air suspension, vastly showing up the XPeng and BYD.
I wonder whether any manufacturer will produce a windscreen that stretches to the B pillar? That way, two glass panels could cover the entire roofline. Instead of screen visors, use electronically generated screening (on the windscreen itself). Do away with the rear view mirror, or place it elsewhere.
It's not stated that it does because it's not really a thing here in China yet but it can do 60kW V2V charging so you'd have to think the ability is there but would just need activating.
No news yet but I'm pretty sure Zeekr will come and there's no reason not to bring this when they do. They're going to Australia this year so UK can't be far off.
@Raymaster7482 No worries. They tend to limit them to about 160 or 170kph and I'd expect the same here. For the performance probably up to 220 or 240, but that's just a guess.
I truly hope our politicians in Canada will not be absolute clowns and prioritize American corporations/billionaires over every day citizens. We need these Chinese EVs without tarifs. I’d buy a Xiaomi SU7 Performance or maybe a Zeeker 007 Performance or Nio ET5 😭
Thanks for the review. Some excellent design innovation from Geely, especially the display on the front of the car. Chinese designers are striking out on their own path. But Zeekr uses European designers I think? Probably a collaboration between the designers and engineers.
Zeekr uses designers from more than 30 countries so there's a lot in there. I asked Stefan Sielaff myself if there was any truth to the myth that Chinese designers have no originality and he flat out refused it.
Range is 688km with RWD and the 75kWh battery, 616 with the dual motor and 75kWh battery, and 660km with the dual motor Performance edition with the 100kWh battery. With the 100kWh battery on the single motor version they claim 870km, but bear in mind all those numbers are on CLTC so reduce by 20-25%. As for the supercharging network, they should be OK to charge on those open to other brands but I can't confirm that. I've never used the supercharger network so not sure what plug they use in China.
I believe the auto doors are banned in Europe at least, not sure about the UK. Boot opening is fairly standard for a saloon I think. I should have measured it.
Clam shell frunk, trunk and metal roof would be a Lucid design..looks like it has same issue where its tuff to enter into car. Almost need to fold in half to not hit head.
Indeed, I noticed that after somebody pointed it out to me. I asked their designer if it was on the mood board and he denied that it was. I mean their chief designer did pioneer the clamshell bootlid design when he was at Audi and he's obviously added it here too, but it looks a very close coincidence if it is.
My Score: 6/10 The car looks amazing except the following issues: 1. Lack of Instrument Cluster Cover and a Bland looking Interior 2. The Wraparound Front Headlights - unnecessary 3. The Black Section on the Frt Fenders - looks out of place 4. Unnecessary Glass Roof - a lost opportunity to reduce weight and cost
6/10 I never give any Elon fake musk EV no worth most dangerous EV how many died by Elon burn battery around the world how many crashed nobody talks about cover up news so this car only worth 9/10 for that level budget money is a lot given us so go check all talk positive for test quality for that level budget is worth
A great car that is ticking all the boxes. But Zeekr didn´t manage it to bring the Zeekr 001 to Germany, and we are speaking of the pre facelift model. So, yeah nice car but will it be available in Europe especially Germany in the next two or three years ? I doubt that.
Will have to see. They're bringing out a touring version and I'd have to think that will make it to Europe. I'm hoping they'll bring both. Other European countries got the 001 so why not Germany?
European carmakers will need to step it up when it comes to infotainment systems and battery tech! My Volvo AAOS infotainment looks sooooo outdated compared to the Chinese infotainment systems. And 13 minutes to charge from 10-80% is just friking awesome, that's half the time it takes my car to charge the same percentage with a smaller battery. The future for electric cars is looking bright though. I love how they drive, how silent they are and I certainly don't miss the smell of the exhaust. Great looking car but that trunk is too small for me. Looking forward to the stationwagon version of this if it ever comes.
You still on the old Google system they have with the vertical screen? That thing really sucks but their new stuff should be better. EX30 is also on the SEA platform so it should drive quite well but I haven't tried it.
@@InsideChinaAuto correct. It was just updated to Android 12 last month but nothing really changed, it's still very limited. No split screen option, no AA support (which has a lot more apps) and yeah the 9" vertical screen looks really outdated. The best thing about it is Google Maps which works really great but Volvo hardly adds anything new or innovative.
@larsvaneynde4281 Think they'll be changing that in future. They know they're going to be the dull boys in the Geely Group if they don't up their software game.

Nice car, but need adjustable back and forward headrest, and want some ffing buttons, maybe when/if my Toyota dies it will become a zeekr, but still they failed to let me try the 001, really planned to buy that one but their sales guys in Sweden is shit, so bought a VW headrest for my Toyota instead... 80euro vs the cost of a new car 🤦🙊
I don't know why more cars don't come with the front/back adjustable headrest. Cost maybe? I find my head never just sits on the headrest. Shame about the Zeekr sales guy though, that sucks.
Would you like me to demonstrate them in the video? Not sure Zeekr would lend me a car again. As it stands there are no crash test ratings for this car but given all other SEA platform cars tested by EuroNCAP (smart #1 and #3, Zeekr X and Zeekr 001) all got 5 stars, I'd expect the same here.
From what I saw in China social media, Huawei have a brilliant self driving module which are installed in a number of EV such as Aito cars. From the numerous reviews in TH-cam, I think it’s probably a better system than FSD.
Does that go for the buttons too? Last year when they launched the X at Shanghai they offered one with handles because in Europe you need them. Maybe the UK doesn't have that problem.

@stuartthrupp7133 Well yeah but they had one car for about 2 years and it's a massive flop in China because it's expensive and too small in the back. With the 3 and 4 they'll have a better chance, but they need to convince people with their product. Zeekr already have that.

Hopefully you'll get this in Taiwan at some point.
Will 007 come in RHD in the future? Zeekr will do RHD for the X and 009 if I'm not mistaken
I can almost certainly say yes it will. There's been no indication at all yet but I'm certain they will.
finally Zeekr has dropped the confusing Lynk&Co front end, which was a branding misstep. thanks for the review!
No worries. Wasn't really a misstep, it's just that they were intended to be Lynk&Co cars as they were conceived before Zeekr was even thought of, and it's a lot of effort to change all that at short notice.
If you had to choose one, which would you get: Zeekr 007 AWD, Xiaomi SU7 Max or IM L6?
It's a tough call but I'd probably say the 007. The L6 is ugly as sin so that's out right away, though I haven't driven it yet. SU7 runs the 007 very close and is better in some areas but the Zeekr in that yellow Kung-fu edition would edge it for me.
@@InsideChinaAuto ah the performance edition?! Yeah that one is really nice... although the range is lower than on the regular AWD configuration 🤔
@@Raymaster7482 Most likely, yes, but you'll have more fun.
Hi Mark been looking forward to your review of this Zeekr 007 , it has been hi on my anticipation list, really is a special car isn't it, can't wait for these to come to Australia.
How much extra for the golden battery? 🔋
Great review, Great Car ,loved the opening location that was beautiful.
Loved your review on that big people mover you just recently done too that was great what a luxurious vehicle that was..
You're a lucky man
Regards John
Hi John
Good to hear from you again.
AVATR have something similar on the 12 (review coming very soon) and XPeng had just that on the G3.
Is there a dealer who can export to europe? (EU certificate?)
I can put you in touch with one if you're serious about it. The import stuff is the challenge.
@@InsideChinaAuto would be great!
@@sandroegelhofer1817 Send over an email (channel info page). Let's see what we can do.
Does it have V2H or V2G capability?
It's not stated that it does because it's not really a thing here in China yet but it can do 60kW V2V charging so you'd have to think the ability is there but would just need activating.
I really like this, any news on whether this will be coming the UK?
No news yet but I'm pretty sure Zeekr will come and there's no reason not to bring this when they do. They're going to Australia this year so UK can't be far off.
@@InsideChinaAuto Good to see some competition to Tesla on the horizon, looks like a great EV!
@@Osmosis909 Tesla is the one coming from behind these days in China.
With honorable mention to Lucid Air.
Definitely some similarities.
What's the max speed for the AWD long range and performance version?
Afraid I can't find any official info on their site about speed. It's not mentioned.
@@InsideChinaAuto ah ok... but thx for checking!
@Raymaster7482 No worries. They tend to limit them to about 160 or 170kph and I'd expect the same here. For the performance probably up to 220 or 240, but that's just a guess.
What is rmile one it
Sorry, not sure what you mean by rmile?
good one, thanks! love geely and zeekr
You're welcome. I like them too.
Crazy looking
It's mad, in an awesome way.
You'd be wise to do so. All lovely cars.
You shouldn't expect more from Trudeau.
I think its prounced Zee-Kar.
Trust me, it's definitely not.
I hope they rolled out a Polestar version of it so that we can have it in the States.
Wouldn't that be nice!
Imagine 1 year old zeekr 007 with less than 5k miles is selling in China for 21k USD :)
Bargain for whoever gets it. Bear in mind too that they already updated this car even since launch with better batteries and better tech.
What is the range and can you charge at the supercharger network
Range is 688km with RWD and the 75kWh battery, 616 with the dual motor and 75kWh battery, and 660km with the dual motor Performance edition with the 100kWh battery. With the 100kWh battery on the single motor version they claim 870km, but bear in mind all those numbers are on CLTC so reduce by 20-25%.
As for the supercharging network, they should be OK to charge on those open to other brands but I can't confirm that. I've never used the supercharger network so not sure what plug they use in China.
@@InsideChinaAuto With all the Teslas in China I would assume that all the cars there would e compatible with NACS.
Tesla is King!
@MrCountrycuz In the rest of the world maybe but in China they're nowhere near the best electric cars out there.
I will buy one if it is available in Hawaii. ❤❤❤❤❤
Good luck. That's a US state.
Its a nicely styled vehicle but the boot opening is far to small. I suspect that in Europe/UK auto doors will not be allowed.
Will be a ccs2 for EU or all gb/t??
CCS2 for Europe.
What the other guy said. It'll be whatever you need in your market I would guess.
My Score: 6/10
The car looks amazing except the following issues:
1. Lack of Instrument Cluster Cover and a Bland looking Interior
2. The Wraparound Front Headlights - unnecessary
3. The Black Section on the Frt Fenders - looks out of place
4. Unnecessary Glass Roof - a lost opportunity to reduce weight and cost
With you on the interior. Bit too Tesla across the dash. Needs more visual flair, like the X has.
6/10 I never give any Elon fake musk EV no worth most dangerous EV how many died by Elon burn battery around the world how many crashed nobody talks about cover up news so this car only worth 9/10 for that level budget money is a lot given us so go check all talk positive for test quality for that level budget is worth
@@InsideChinaAuto The new ZEEKR 001 has a stunning interior.
@@honesty_-no9he Much more interesting to look at than this one inside, that's for sure.
My next car will be most likely Chinese. Byd seal and zeekr are awsome
Agreed. Big fan of Zeekr, never had the chance to drive the BYD Seal yet.
Too bad we won’t get to have these cars in N.America 😢
Really is too bad.
Awesome!
It is, such a stunner.
Strangely the front looks like an old Saturn… including the logo
Haha. I think I know the one you mean. Aerodynamics are timeless.
Other European countries got the 001 so why not Germany?
a Chinese Lucid Air I love it
It's great. Bit bland inside but outside is rather lovely.
Misty exotic landscapes, driver's chatter, muted noise of EV - it feels like good AMSR 😊
Haha. I need to open a second channel for just that.
Wow super cool
Gorgeous car this.
James Bond Silently laughs from the grave.
Glad I could make him silently giggle.
He's turning in that grave with how pathologically woke MI6 & Eon Productions have become...in fact, that's precisely why he's dead, so that they can replace him with a black disabled lesbian dwarf. Q will really go to town on that wheelchair...it will have more gadgets than Prof Stephen Hawking's chair in The Simpsons.
It's capable of 60kW DC charge sharing😮😮😮🤯🤯??? Is that what he said?
That's what he said.
Huge missed opportunity not to have a hatchback tailgate. That’s so disappointing other wise I really like it and was considering it
Hopefully they're bringing a wagon out at some point. Let's see.
good video
Thanks Toaster
I want one (EU)
Wouldn't mind one myself.
I think if they should stick with the signature headlights like 001 or X rather than this hidden LEDs inside the cover!
It'll be interesting to see where they go next with this idea.
@@InsideChinaAuto this just looks like every other concept cars with no identity! Brand identity is important. If BMW looses its kidney grille, it's no longer BMW! Customers will turn away!
@thehuonpine Well BMW has only gone and made its kidney grille the most hideous thing on the market right now, leaving anybody who doesn't have an ego the size of Gibraltar turn away in disgust.
是的好车,我刚试驾,完美
It is, right?
No mention of safety ratings, crash and roll tests.
Now I understand why Elon is betting all on FSD or nothing, those cars are well made
Geely really build cars very nicely.
From what I saw in China social media, Huawei have a brilliant self driving module which are installed in a number of EV such as Aito cars. From the numerous reviews in TH-cam, I think it’s probably a better system than FSD.
Got a lot of Lucid look on to it
Definitely hints in there.
MACH-E has no door handles we have that in the UK.
Does that go for the buttons too? Last year when they launched the X at Shanghai they offered one with handles because in Europe you need them. Maybe the UK doesn't have that problem.
I would gladly accept what he has to say if only he put on grown man pants. The only missing thing is a reversed baseball cap.
Be my guest if you'd like to present videos in baking hot sunshine. Maybe you prefer sweaty men on video with wet patches all over their grown man trousers?
@@InsideChinaAuto I don't 😀 but your lower legs are not the sweaty part of your body, now are they? Please reconsider wearing grown man pants-you will immediately see improvements in your daily dealings with people. Airy, coarse woven linnen is fantastic in hot weather. Try to find the spun-wound variety that you don't need to iron.
Lets hope Zeekr doesn't end up like Fisker hitting bankruptcy.
Not likely. They're owned by Geely and they're doing very well so very little chance of getting binned anytime soon.
@@InsideChinaAuto They also own Polestar their share price has bottomed from lack of interest in the brand.
@stuartthrupp7133 Well yeah but they had one car for about 2 years and it's a massive flop in China because it's expensive and too small in the back. With the 3 and 4 they'll have a better chance, but they need to convince people with their product. Zeekr already have that.
7:20 you finally mention Tesla
Not that they deserve it.
Thank you!
Great car
No problem. It really is.
Looks like Lucid Air 😊
The rear especially.
Thank You 4 Subscribing 😃
Can't bring myself to ask it with my own face. Haha.
Well, the Zeekr is more a Swedish EV
They have over 30 nationalities in their design team.
Design yes but the engineering is done in China.
@@honesty_-no9he That is not true.
Almost 1000 ppl are working in Gothenburg with Zeekr EVs. The team consists of enginers, developers and designers from many countries.
They work together with colleagus in Ningbo and Shanghai, but the main work is located in Gothenburg
Given how down right dangerous Chinese self drive systems are I would have appreciated a recording of the self driving modes in action rather than "it works don't worry about it".
Interesting, the exact same comment posted 1 minute apart from two different accounts. Either way, I don't record video of highway lane centering programs, nobody would watch, so I only include when sharing urban autonomous driving videos and it wasn't enabled on my car so no dice.
It kinda looks nice a Lucid Air
Back end definitely has those vibes
Xiaomi SU7 MAX ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very close competition.
It looks like a Saab model had Saab still remained in business.
That'll be the Swedish influence. Love the 9-5.
I miss Saab. Great automobiles.
Now if only a Tesla looks like this it would be perfect. 😅
👍👍👍
Nice this thing, eh?
BBC and CNN previously accused China of excessive carbon emissions. Now China has become the world's largest producer of solar energy equipment and new energy vehicles. At this time, the United States began to say that China has overcapacity in new energy vehicles and solar energy equipment. But only 6 trillion tax revenue. There is a debt gap of 30 trillion, but at the same time, it is necessary Give Ukraine 60 billion dollars for the war.US would rather give tax income money to other countries than improve domestic infrastructure construction.
Truth is, nobody wants to commit, they like lining their pockets and their friends' pockets, so the rest of the world won't reach the goals they set because they're not serious about them.
Zeekr 007 Lucid Air
Definitely a very slippery thing much like the Air is.
