It's been a very long time since I've invested in after market components... Back in the Honda accord 94 and Acura Integra 90 days. I do own a 2018 Lexus 350, it does pass my mind to change that large screen. Maybe 1 day.
Apparently, the newer screens do not have wireless Android Auto, only wired Android Auto. Bummer, I was about to order when I saw that, so I called them and they confirmed wired Android Auto only. Did you do something special to make that work?
@@Kpaceguy gotcha and thank you. I should have seen that plug just somehow overlooked it. One more question now that that's connected. The phone works great both and Mike and speaker, but I'm still not getting any guidance audio for maps when I'm in Android auto mode. Any suggestions there would be greatly appreciated.
@garygoodwn535 not really. A radio SIM is always on and connected. No tinkering with a phone to enable a hot spot every time you enter the car. Hot spot plans have limited data limits. Where as a dedicated SIM line has unlimited data.
@@mattsawesomeshow hotspot can be set to always on or given a time to power on and power off. Additionally, it can be set up to auto connect and be limited to one device or five devices. So yes it's just as good and cheaper. I never touch mine once set up.
@@mattsawesomeshow Oh, my last message only applies if you're using an Android phone manufactured in the last 4 years. Does not apply to iPhone as they constantly shut off hotspot in order to save battery.
Thanks, the previous issue seems to be resolved. However, I'm now encountering a new problem with the audio during calls. The person on the other end can't hear me. Interestingly, this issue doesn't affect other audio functions - playing music through the AUX is working perfectly fine.

No it came this way and they are a fool if they took it off as a feature
Mine was wireless as well. Bought April 16th, 2024.
Do you need to buy the external mic add-on or does it have the plug up to use the factory mic
They provide you with a mic
Why the monitor screen falling backwards ? Is it supposed to stand straight
@thehegt No but I've fixed it to stand straight
Great hack on the BU camera. Where do I plug in the external speaker (2016 NX). Thanks.
To the unit itself

@garygoodwn535 make sure you're volume icon is set to speak and not on mute on the map itself
What was the solution you used to angle it straight?
It actually rests perfectly straight and still by not putting the clips in the slot, but resting them on the dash
Can you show the fitment of the screen. It looks like it's angled backwards and doesn't fit right. Can you do a quick video on that?
You're correct. It has a strong tilt upwards but I was able to easily find a solution to angle it straight
@@Kpaceguywhat was the solution?

Do you live close to cincinnati ohio😅? I would need help installing and would pay.
An hr away
@@Kpaceguy I have a 2017 nx200t. Would you do an install?
Did you get the SIM card working in your unit? Having issues getting mine to connect to the network.
I never tried. I just use my phones Hotspot
Hotspotting it works just as well and cheaper.

i hear a little of buzzing noise when installed this exact same module, any clue?
maybe because of it's AUX?
is there anyway to fix this?
It's ground noise. When speaker wires are too close to power wires
