I feel like I hear mike all day! I listen to the podcast on the way to work, on the way home from work and now this video has popped up! He’s taking over social media as we know it! 🤣
If you want to know which direction to walk, best way to think about it is wherever you are standing on the overworld map, imagine rotating the map to where you are "facing" the character head on. For instance if you are on right side of the map moving Up/Down, if you rotate the map where you are "facing" the character then Up = right and Down = left. If you were on the left side of the map moving Up/Down then this would be reversed. Hard to explain but hopefully that makes some sense.
I got it new when it came out and I was under 10 years old. This game used to scare me at night lol. When you know he’s in a cabin and you’re looking and finally you find him and that audio sting cue comes in I used to jump everytime. So ridiculous when I look back at it now.
Fun Fact! The zombies in the game are suppose to be the undead walking corpses of the people he killed in the past. You can google the NES instruction manual to see for yourself👍🏻
Woah, only took you about 45 minutes to beat this game...that was fast. That's another game for the list along with Shatterhand (both the NES and the Famicom version "Tokkyu Shirei Solbrain").
If you want to chase Jason after a fight, ignore the direction that he runs away unless you're on the outside loop. Around the caves it's reversed, and around the lake you should check the map and remember his pattern: he always goes straight to the left lake entrance to attack the kids, and if he didn't go around the caves first then that means his path will go from the upper forest to the lower forest. Also remember that the map direction is backwards if you're on the TOP half of a loop.
Oh my God. I used to play True Lies all the time as a kid on the Genesis! Was a really fun game for the time and eventually beat it. It does get a little redundant, though, but they do try to change it up with some different weapons. Pretty faithful to the movie, too. A couple "pro" tips: You can stand still and aim / move your weapon around. You can also dive to avoid enemy fire and get closer or further from them, avoiding damage or closing the gap by shooting while crouching at the end of the dive. Also, yes, watch the movie again! It is pretty good James Cameron flick! TLDR, grats on Friday the 13th! It is a flawed, but decent game and I think you mentioned it could use a good hack to fix some of the issues.
