Id Be careful when dealing with the brake lights circuit bc it will have an effect on other components if the voltage & resistance changes too much. It Can cause your cruise control to stop working (like it did to me) or even worse cause issues with your torque converter. Crazy but true
Just put some clear silicone around the seal and seal it even better. Will last awhile and since the light is led light shouldn’t have to be replaced for longer than you’ll ever care about it

Really? You have no middle red brake light? If you don’t have one, I don’t think it’s the end of the world. However, the police could pull you over for it. I would try to wire one in, if there’s wire there.
Hey I was wondering I have single cab ford as well but it’s standard transmission and I ordered an LED 3brake light as wel but the white lights don’t turn off even when I close my doors and the headlight knob is all the way counter clockwise
Hey Ernesto! Interesting. I would try testing the third brake light harness and see if the harness is wired properly. If it’s wired properly, then you may have a faulty LED third brake light.
Did you use some silicone behind the 3rd light when installing ? I thought I remembered you saying on one of your other videos , ( message ? ) that you put silicone on two spots . Wasn't this light one of them ?
Good question. My 95 with the AODE didn’t require a resistor (at least I have no transmission issues), so I don’t have a video on that. My assumption of how to do it, is to wire the resistor into the power wire of the light.

I may or may not have included this on the video, but I sealed this light to the cab with clear silicone. So far no leaks from it. Although, I’m chasing down a leak on the rear passenger side.

Jon Zidek Well I haven’t driven the truck yet. So I don’t really know. So far none of the LED bulbs I’ve put in my truck have given me problem. What problems were you having?
I did LED dash lights but they didn’t cause any trouble. And it cause my over drive light to flash and some other issues it was so long ago I’m struggling to remember everything. But if you look online there’s lots of stuff. But hopefully I’m your case it works out

@@miguelgarcia3178 so it’s leaking coolant from the back of the engine? You may have to be a little bit more specific. It could be a head gasket issue that’s leaking to the outside of the engine (instead of into a cylinder).

I sure did. I used clear silicone along the top and sides just to be on the safe side.

Not really. You can search around on eBay or Facebook market place and find an original. Otherwise, a junkyard is your next best bet.
