2009-2014 F150 3rd Brake Light Review and DIY Install LED vs. Halogen upgrade and bulb repalcement

- EDIT: After chatting with the manufacturer I have found that the clear silicone/rubber "Caps" that I tried to put on the head of the screw was actually incorrect. Those "caps" have a center insert that you can tear out, you then use the ring as a washer/gasket on the screw before inserting the screw through the light housing. This will seal the connection to make a more water tight seal. I mistook them for a type of cap but it is definetely a gasket/washer.
Today we are putting a 3rd brake light assembly upgrade on a 2013 F150 which is the same as all Ford F150 from 2009-2014. This is a SUPER easy DIY job that you can do, and a super easy and affordable mod.

Did it sit flush to the cab I recently had to replace my high mount light and the light I got doesn't sit flush it has a gap all the way around

@@AGuyandHisProjects I want to flush the engine, change the headlights, continue removing some dumb stickers, relocate the wiper Reservoir (removed previous owner) change all the lug nuts r find a key that works better then 19mm lol. And figure out why my brights come on when I signal to the right.

@@AGuyandHisProjects as far as the new truck you want. Maybe to should get the worst year (IMO) 97-98 Ford F-150. Or go with as old as you can get. Again IMO.

Will your new 3rd light ,light up in reverse, or is it cargo light only?

Got mine in brake light works great but reverse doesn't work at all 😢

I have a 2010 f150 raptor. I figured it have the 3 wires with the 3 bulb connected to the end of the wiring. But it only a has 2 bulb at the end and one connector that connects to the stock 3rd brake light. I need help do I hardwire it. ??
That is hard to answer without seeing it. If you are comfy hardwire g it I'd say go for it. The connectors make it easy to connect and remove but are not necessary to function
This company is doing false advertising. I say this because you have to splice the wires for it to work and on the box it states "there's no splicing or anything like that" but it is.
That is a bummer! The one I got as in video was plug and play
It's not a reverse brake light it's just a backup light
