That’s one of my FAVORITE songs ever . I knew it since the first time I heard it & It’s on my playlist everyday . It’s unique & catchy . In one word a masterpiece !!! God bless u guys 😊
This was second album I ever had and first I bought with my own money. My older sister bought me Jim Croce Greatest Hits and then I bought this one and it's very good. Mike Gibbons was a great vocalist and there are many catchy pop-rock tunes on this album.
I use to sing Who do you think you are when I was in the band. It has such a natural flow to it. Mike/Mick does a great job as usual. Mike and I did You've lost that loving feeling together and it was so much fun to sing with him. He's a PRO!
Damn it's been 60 years since this was so popular. I was 16 years old then. I remember this song like it was yesterday. I still love this song to this day! ....Oh and by the way, they sound great in this video!
I love this song. When it used to play on the radio my big brother would mock push my big sisters around like the most nutty thing I can remember! Very funny! Well I guess you had to be there....
Well do I remember this song...first pangs of heartbreak. Summer of 74. When I realized Belinda no longer loved me..red hot romance that quickly burned out..like a meteor across my sky. Funny I have a fade faint memory of how Belinda looked but I remember clearly this song. How I had a cross country invitational at her HS later in the fall. Hoping I'd see her again. Never saw her again. She may well be as far as mars...that far long gone. Probably wouldn't recognize Belinda after almost 50. I even learned how to play this song on piano and guitar. Would play and sing it through the years. That song is about the only good thing that came out of that teenage angst. Kind of can channel some of that hope, despair, happiness,of that time. Only to know it was all just a foolish romantic fantasy that intensity and passion couldn't last. Belinda kissing me against the wall. Telling me I was her Mr right..couldn't see living here life without me. Whatever happened to baby blue. The breakup was over religion and like 30 miles between us. It didn't work out
Voice is very close to the original. Hats off!! But as some seem to say this was not the original singer in Bo & Heywoods. I really don't know, but the tonal quality is very comparitive.
It's a theatrical environment rather than a straight concert vibe, and when people have the option of comfy seats they tend to relax a little more. That's one reason why arena shows are so balls-out; aside from VIPs and skyboxes, people at arena concerts are in plastic seats or folding chairs on the floor, and those aren't the comfiest things, so naturally people will get up and rock it more. This is probably a nostalgia show at a resort, maybe? So a different vibe. And we can't hear the audience. Doesn't mean they didn't like it.
I read that he passed away. I wonder what happened to him, why he left the band, and what he wound up doing the rest of his life. A friend of mine said he was a cousin of his.
A pesar de que han pasado algunas décadas, se sigue escuchando muy bien ésta bella baladita de los 70s,🎉🎉
I remember this tune from the 70's, these guys are very good live.
I was on Catalina island when I first heard this song. I was barely in high school. I never would have thought this song would be my song of life.
That song in the fall of 74 was a classic
Just a great song from the ‘70’s!!! Great lyrics and a upbeat melody. Can listen to this song over & over! 👍
I was your #1 fan in 74
Billy don’t be a hero I lived in Anchorage Alaska
Such a great song. Bo and the Heywoods are great. This singer sings a lot like the original lead singer Mike Gibbons. Sure brought back some memories.

Tough crowd, great performance
Yes, they are knocking themselves out and looking at the frozen in time audience was both strange and sad.
I just love this song..I hope some other band can do a revival!
Me too, I absolutely love this song!
I Had This Album When A Teeager..Great 🎶 Music...Loved You Guys....

The quintessential pop song! 😊
great song

GREAT SONG! GREAT JOB!
Thank you for taking the time to upload a treat. They sound excellent.
Thanks for uploading. The lead singer does a great job---he sounds just like Mike Gibbons.

I love this song sooo much, so joyful, so inocent. It was 1974 if I remenber😚
Wonderful song!
Father time got a hold of their face like every human on this earth.
That's not Bo singing. Bo is on keyboards. Rick Joswick, one of the former lead singers, dropped out of the band some time ago and is now dead.
Mike, Rick, Bo, this is great. I know you go by Mick nowadays. Miss hearing you more often.
I love this song.
When it used to play on the radio my big brother would mock push my big sisters around like the most nutty thing I can remember! Very funny! Well I guess you had to be there....
Yes you had to be there. Your brother ended up in prison didnt he?
Know what you mean:) I had a little brother also!
@@trentaccid2177 who went to prison?
I liked this song a lot.
If I remember correct they originally had 6 or 7 guys in the band. They had a few good songs.

Damn the crowd.
Wow. Really good! They look good too! Are you sure the audience had a heartbeat?
No one sang this or the other great songs as well as Mike Gibbons, the original lead singer of the band.
Voice is very close to the original. Hats off!! But as some seem to say this was not the original singer in Bo & Heywoods. I really don't know, but the tonal quality is very comparitive.
Still sounds good!! The audience look like a bunch of zombies!!
I was thinking the same thing. God Bless!

They came to hear the Monkees. Hey hey for the monkees

Who is who here, which one is Rick , who is Bo, and the rest.
I believe Bo is on keyboards and Rick passed away a few years ago
Jigsaw has the best version of this classic.👍
I prefer St Etienne’s version th-cam.com/video/Xxqka4FTvFc/w-d-xo.html
What about Candlewick Green's version?
This one was the hit in the US. I love Sky High by Jigsaw.
The original version by Bo Donaldson in the Heywoods is a lot better than this one
is singer lester diamond from casino gingers flame?
I love all these groups, pop or rock because they didnt use tatoos, they were themshelves and didn't need that.
Lower note and original Song. Where os Bo?
On the keyboards
live performance but was this a dead audience ?
Written by Des Dire and Clive Scott of Jigsaw. It was only a hit for Bo Donaldson.
You’d think he would get the lyrics right. “I’m just a guy who never wants to do what’s right” OOOOOOPS!!! It’s “only” not “never”
MIKE GIBBONS HERE LOOKS LIKE ACTOR TOM FRIDLEY FROM FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 6.
Mike Gibbons is NOT in this video.
Maybe they should be checking for a pulse before allowing folks into the venue.
Audience needs to be slapped!
So rude don't think there alive I'd be enjoying it
@@lordkelvinbagley68 Absolutely!
Not the original Singer and a more lower barotone
This guy is okay, but he us not Mike Gibbons
Totally agree!
Nobody can sing this like Mike Gibbons.
Rick joshwick was the original Singer.
I read that he passed away. I wonder what happened to him, why he left the band, and what he wound up doing the rest of his life. A friend of mine said he was a cousin of his.
Nope. Mike Gibbons was the original on this song.
Bo has apparently had some plastic surgery
The singer is not Bo. Bo is the keyboard player, singing backup now, apparently.
@@alan30189 I thought so on the keyboard. Bo had lost his voice some years before
