Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 10 ม.ค. 2016
Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods shot to prominence in 1974 with "Billy, Don't Be a Hero." Sales that topped three million copies brought the group a gold record. The single spent two weeks in the top spot on the charts. The number one single was the band's greatest success, but it didn't mark the first time that the group charted. Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods made a showing on the charts with "Someone Special" in 1972 and "Deeper and Deeper" the following year. The band was ten years old when "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" made such a splash, and it had already performed as the opening act for such artists as Herman's Hermits, the Box Tops, the Osmond Brothers, the Rascals, the Grass Roots, and Paul Revere & the Raiders. The group also performed on American Bandstand. After "Billy, Don't Be a Hero," the band took "Who Do You Think You Are" into the Top 20. "The Heartbreak Kid" followed, reaching the Top 40. The group charted again with "House on Telegraph Hill" and "Our Last Song Together."

A pesar de que han pasado algunas décadas, se sigue escuchando muy bien ésta bella baladita de los 70s,🎉🎉
👍
BOB BRAUN!
I dont see Bo Danaldson, must be a cover band.
I was your #1 fan in 74 Billy don’t be a hero I lived in Anchorage Alaska
Drummer Richard “Nick” Brunetti just passed away on July 20, 2024 at age 71 in Florida.
Such a great song. Bo and the Heywoods are great. This singer sings a lot like the original lead singer Mike Gibbons. Sure brought back some memories.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The original is sooooo much better. This just sounds awful.
Loved Mike and Rick. Great voices. Great personalities. RIP. Hugs to all the other band members other than Bo Ego Donaldson. Musically talented but he and his mom...really considered themselves Special Someones. Pass.
Still amazing in 2024🙂

I really miss the music of the 70's
I met them on many occasions at various concerts fairs, roller rinks and even a health hike. They are really a nice and great group of men
Great entertainment
I was born in the late fall of 1978. Awesome Very Handsome Musical Group! Recorded Many Songs! Underrated Musical Group!
So much fun! I loved this band. I think I still have a few of their 45’s. I am pretty sure they were performing this live. Pretty impressive! It’s really hard to believe this was 51 years ago! 🤗
That’s one of my FAVORITE songs ever . I knew it since the first time I heard it & It’s on my playlist everyday . It’s unique & catchy . In one word a masterpiece !!! God bless u guys 😊
Looks like someone stole the microphones from WJAR tv’s garage!! Lousy microphones in this gig!!! The sound engineer got his degree from a gumball machine!!
La voz es más o menos igual pero la música nada que ver con la de estudió, yo me quedo con la versión de estudio
Ricky Nicky Brunetti passed away 😭 condolences to family and friends and fans
It’s 20/24 and I’m still rockin this one.
I was on Catalina island when I first heard this song. I was barely in high school. I never would have thought this song would be my song of life.
Written by Des Dire and Clive Scott of Jigsaw. It was only a hit for Bo Donaldson.
The drummer has his head up his ass.
Damn it's been 60 years since this was so popular. I was 16 years old then. I remember this song like it was yesterday. I still love this song to this day! ....Oh and by the way, they sound great in this video!
Well do I remember this song...first pangs of heartbreak. Summer of 74. When I realized Belinda no longer loved me..red hot romance that quickly burned out..like a meteor across my sky. Funny I have a fade faint memory of how Belinda looked but I remember clearly this song. How I had a cross country invitational at her HS later in the fall. Hoping I'd see her again. Never saw her again. She may well be as far as mars...that far long gone. Probably wouldn't recognize Belinda after almost 50. I even learned how to play this song on piano and guitar. Would play and sing it through the years. That song is about the only good thing that came out of that teenage angst. Kind of can channel some of that hope, despair, happiness,of that time. Only to know it was all just a foolish romantic fantasy that intensity and passion couldn't last. Belinda kissing me against the wall. Telling me I was her Mr right..couldn't see living here life without me. Whatever happened to baby blue. The breakup was over religion and like 30 miles between us. It didn't work out
I loved Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods. My first concert was them and they opened for The Osmonds . I went and saw them when ever they were in Ohio and watched them when ever they were on tv. They don't make music like that and the Osmonds anymore unfortunately. I was 14 in 74
If I remember correct they originally had 6 or 7 guys in the band. They had a few good songs.
Souds great
The quintessential pop song! 😊
Absolute utter Cheesfest!! God i miss the 70s
Thank you for taking the time to upload a treat. They sound excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to upload a treat.
The original song was by a UK band named Paper Lace!
I wish and hope their is a better video available of " Who Do You Think You Are " maybe on Dick Clark's American TV show. But still I enjoyed the original audio used in this video of Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods instead of the ones using the studio recordings over it.❤
Who is who here, which one is Rick , who is Bo, and the rest.
I believe Bo is on keyboards and Rick passed away a few years ago
I Love Rick.....😢😂😅😮😂🎉❤😊

Im still& Always a Fan,!!Annette Susan Bjorn ❤
Mike always had a fantastic voice, but I do have to say that I prefer the Gilbert O'Sullivan version.
live performance but was this a dead audience ?
I remember this tune from the 70's, these guys are very good live.
Omg!! The Bob Braun Show! This show was a Cincinnati classic…just like this song!!
Wonderful song!
Are any of these guys still alive
Whose is singing this song. Doesn't look like mike
I remember buying the forty-five record at Sam Goody in Kings Plaza Brooklyn in the 1970's of this song. Very popular.
GREAT SONG! GREAT JOB!
