the n00bifiers setup is sweet. I have tested it a bunch of times, and it is epic. The monitors seem a bit high as the motion systems is at rest(down) but raises up significantly when turned on. Cool to see him featured on your show 😁

For a quick disconnect cooling you might try dry break fittings. We use them in drag racing for things like transmission lines so we don’t have to drain fluid out of the lines and cooler when swapping transmissions. They are a bit pricey but would probably work for rapidly swapping a liquid cooler.

Yup, that's me. It's an AC Infinity intake fan. That hallway stays pretty cold, so it pulls in air and a huge AC Infinity T5 in the rear pulls out the hot air.
The retro builds didn't enough love! I remember those Alienware cases being all over Tigerdirect, tons of knock offs or similar dups some that era. And that Voodoo tower - what a brand - got absolutely destroyed when it got bought by HP. Love the reaction video guys - keep up the great work!

1:56 I used an Antec clone case, called the X-Superalien back in 2003, until 2019 when I built my current rig in a Lian Li 011 clone, which wasn't shown, again.
For the Karlby/Alex drawer desk. I used that idea but subbed the Karlby (didn't like the MDF for reason pointed out in video) with an actual butcher block wood counter top from Home Depot got an unfinished one (but they did have finished ones) and stained it myself and came out to the same price.
Jay mentioned quick release fittings which I had used in a build about 10 years ago using Lian Li extended case and had an additional external cooler that connected to tubing through a special slot PCI slot cover and I used Koolance quick release fittings. They are a twist-lock fitting similar to a BNC or cable connector and when you remove it both ends seal up automatically.

The guy who said he was on a commercial ship, I'm not surprised he has a desk. I was a Merchant Marine, and every ship I was on my room had a desk. I was just a lowly deck ape, but when you only have 26-36 people working on board, there's plenty of room for housing. I was also in the Navy, and those ships on the other hand... that's where they cram as many people into a space as possible. I had to share my berthing space with 200 roommates. I was on an aircraft carrier. I don't think there was enough space allowed for a desk until an officer hit lieutenant, and they still had to share the room with someone. Working on commercial ships is a dream compared to military vessels.
The Full Motion Sims are DOF Reality and the H3 is $2500 to $2700. I got a chair on Amazon $150 that reclines for both driving and flight sims. I built a PC for a retired race car driver here intown, and he wanted the H3 which comes with 3 motors.

13:10 I did the same thing as I build a 8x8x8 shed but I did it up nice. Concrete floor and a 30amp breaker box so I could put a mini split in it. I used it for several months as my office and had an AC unit in the window to keep me cool because my PC was also cooking me alive in there. My setup is now back in my garage and the shed is serving its original purpose... A chicken coop XD. Yes I built a climate controlled space for my chickens and ducks since it can get over 100f and below 20f here at its extremes.
With the Carl-B top, could you have some kind of metal strip attached underneath to get rid of the sag? Or perhaps build the tabletop into the wall studs and wooden wall braces?
Quick connect idea, hydraulic hoses have a quick connect system on bobcats to attach different attachments. It’s prettt simple connect that uses ball bearings on the collar. I think it should work with water aswell. Maybe already out there.

Can confirm the Midwest (WI) sloped ceiling upper rooms. My house has them. Kids’ bedrooms and half bath up there. Anytime I use the bathroom there I rest my head against the sloped ceiling. And almost every time I access the attic space I hit my head standing up, as the access doors are these little half doors that would he over for like Frodo, but I’m like 6’2. 😝
My stuff is not nearly as impressive, but I recently got a pc for my wife up and running next to mine and I'm really proud of myself for finally getting that done.

I think it would be really cool and unique for you to build a cooling set up externally. Koolance makes some really interesting coolers, from an "almost" AIO that has pump, fans, rad, and controls that you mount externally, to even sub ambient coolers. Supposedly the "AIO" has a cooling capacity of 900w with a 25c delta to ambient.
2:31 I have a server rack in my entry closet. There is a 4" dryer vent at the top exhausting outside with a noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM during the summer. In the winter there is a 6" duct with another NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM going to the bedroom behind the closet. I still need to add a custom loop before summer if I want to do any production with it. Edit: Bottom line, if you want something like this to work, you are going to end up drilling a 4" hole in an exterior wall.
That build at 6:44 I have some bends like that.... can attest they are hard.. I screwed 3 bends before I got it right. Was first attempt at bending as well. All or nothing!

TC Helicon Gaming just came out with an update before Christmas and they are putting a support team together again for future updates. Units are still available to purchase as well (2:45)
Those Alienware cases were built by Chieftec and they were robust, spacious cases. As far as late 90s building goes they were among the best for building powerful and tidy setups which is why Alienware must have chosen them.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think most folks would setup their room lighting with the pastel vaporwave and enjoy it for like... a week before setting them back to warm/neutral white. Having those weird color ambient lights end up hurting my eyes when concentrating on screens for a while. A good vibe for hanging out and socializing, but that's the opposite of what these spaces are designed for.

The racing sim is Noobifier as you said. Check him out he is actually an agent for the sim rigs and in to Star Citizen, he’s done loads on joysticks and sim controllers.
Those colored Alienware cases were also sold under another name. I think they were Antec. Same front without the Alienware embossed on it. Loved the purple one. Probably made in the same Chinese factory. It was great being able to get a case that wasn't beige.

Noobifier does content for star citizen, joysticks, and sim pits. I don't think he pays for those rigs. I believe they are reviewed units.

The racing sim is Noobifier as you said. Check him out he is actually an agent for the sim rigs and in to Star Citizen, he’s done loads on joysticks and sim controllers.

Those colored Alienware cases were also sold under another name. I think they were Antec. Same front without the Alienware embossed on it. Loved the purple one. Probably made in the same Chinese factory. It was great being able to get a case that wasn't beige.
The brand you're looking for is Chieftec. Model is Chieftec Dragon/Matrix depending on the front panel design.
