I'm extremely overwhelmed with the level of support in the comments section here! I just want to reiterate that I am not going to stop making content! The uploads will continue as normal, i just wanted to give some transparency as to why things seemed off this past year. Thank you everyone for your understanding! Ive said many times I feel I have the best viewers and you guys prove it time and time again! Thank you.
We are all behind you and the team, Jay. Health always comes first. Hope it ends up being something dumb, like Gilbert's Syndrome. (Similar symptoms to worst case scenarios, just not even remotely as bad). Take care of yourself, and thoughts with you and family.
1. Your health is your top priority and your family needs you. 2. Your content is great and getting to know your team will be fun. 3. Praying for you and that your medical team finds solutions. 4. Don’t feel bad about this…. You’re stressing out about letting us down, which you have not and will not ever do. We are with you 100% ❤
Please help Jay see this. Now at 41, as someone who survived stage 4 colon cancer at a decently young age, if it ends up being this, let me know if you need anyone to vent to. The reason I say this is when I was at my sickest, I had a great support system with family and friends, but I still never felt more alone in my life. Aa much as they tried to be there for me, in my mind I knew that I was thinking thoughts they couldn't relate to. I felt like I was walking down a very lonely road. If things turn out to be bad news, if you need to talk to someone who can relate to what will be going on in your head (and is right now while you're waiting to find out), let me know.
If it's necessary to take long blocks of time off of the channel, PLEASE do not hesitate to do so. Health always, always comes first. Try your best to not stress about the channel. Stress is your enemy at this point! We all know your team can handle everything, and we will all still enjoy the content. Wish you all the best, my friend.
I’m 60. I didn’t build my first rig until I was 57. EVERYTHING I know about hardware and building and pairing hardware I learned from Jay. (and Paul) I will continue to watch this channel regardless of who is presenting. I hope Jay makes a full recovery but Jays health and his family come first. Truly wishing all the best while he deals with this. Jay’s the best and we’ve been blessed to have him here. Keep up the good fight my friend.
Jay, you don't owe us crap. Go take care of those health issues. None of us are going anywhere. All we care about is that you're ok and eventually able to once again work on the content we are all passionate about. Godspeed, man.
while i'd like to agree with you the numbers don't lie, a large majority of viewers will decline because they're easily manipulated into watching other things by the algorithm.
Jay, I really appreciate your openness about your health struggles. Take all the time you need to recover, your followers will always be here when you come back. Your health is paramount. Also, it's fantastic you have a solid support system around you. We don't mind Phil or Nick stepping in. Wishing you all the best in your recovery.
You may never see this buried amongst the other comments, but take care of yourself and your family, Jay. I was diagnosed with an incurable cancer twelve days before my daughter was born early this year, and watching your videos got me through the weeks in hospital I couldn't be there for my family. Watching the videos where you hang out with your daughters and have fun - it's honestly inspiring. I hope to one day be half the dad you are.
Dude we are all going to the same place one way or another. Don't worry about it. Just keep watching these vids, apparently they get you through anything according to you.

There is no such thing as an incurable cancer like they want you to believe, you got this, one tip, sugar feeds on cancer, eliminate immediately and try find some cannabis oil
I'm a colon cancer survivor. I had a similar story. I know how terrified you are right now. The scariest time for me was the gap between "this is bad but we don't know how bad" and "okay, it's this type of bad". You assume the worst, you can't help it, you are staring into the abyss. All I can offer is to trust yourself to handle whatever comes. You've dealt with every bad thing to date in your life. I'm sure there have been moments of great struggle, you dealt with them, and you can deal with this too. Good luck.
I was a cancer patient for 3 years, but managed to pull through. I am cancer-free today, but will never forget how it was to live with. It's certainly an experience that mentally, will never leave you. Thank you for sharing this with us, Jay. Best wishes for a bright and healthy future, bless you! 😊
Stage four cancer survivor, and while my treatment was only 6 months, it feels like a lifetime and also like it was fake. Like it was almost just a non Canon filler episode.
Cancer sucks. My dad just got diagnosed several months back after initially being told he was in the clear. it was only discovered due to a simple follow up where apparently the test results were "misread". All I can say is hang in there to anyone going through or anyone with loved ones!!
I’m a retired Paramedic/RN, I empathize with your current situation. Over the years, I faced two diagnoses that I wasn’t expected to survive. Be your own best advocate and follow the advice of healthcare professionals. It is also important to keep your stress levels to a minimum. Many thanks for sharing. If you lose some viewers over this, they may not be the audience you'd want to have anyway. Wishing you a positive year ahead, and may all these challenges soon be a thing of the past.
We're here for you dude, you don't owe us shit. Doesn't matter what you post or how often, we will be here, clicking the link. You've helped a lot of people with all you do.
The level of transparency here is astounding. Anyone who thinks you're sympathy seeking needs their head checked. This will help others to talk about their health & not feel so isolated. Thank you for this Jay.
Look man! You've helped us all a lot. You've entertained us, informed us, and even moved us at times. Now go take care of Jay for a bit. We'll all be here waiting for sure
Hi Jay, in 2020 I had a Heart Attack (died twice, once in my house and once in the ambulance ) so there's that. Last April stage 1 Colon Cancer. Prayers to you my friend. I am a huge fan of your work. I tell everyone who will listen about you and your content. I shop at MicroCenter because of you! Prayers for you and your family bro. You are loved sir!
Best wishes to you Jay... please work on your diet... check out Thomas Delauer, Dr Ekberg, Dr. Furhman... and others... Please understand, the “professionals” are great at treating disease... but sadly, not always as great at prevention. I know you asked for no advise..but your getting it anyway...I wish you all the best...
As an RN, you don't need to make any excuses. Your priority is your health. We are all behind you and your team. I wish you nothing but the best. It is very courageous of you letting us know part of your personal life.
And listening to his doctors. So much noise on the internet about this and that, as a nurse I'm sure you hear all the time people telling you about something you should buy, take, do. I have never told my doctor (s) that 'as seen on TV' I should to this.....
As someone that's been dealing with digestive issues for 20 years, I will say this: you can only do what you can do. Some days, you just can't do things - that's not a sign of weakness. Be kind to yourself and take care of yourself. All the best to you, I hope you get to the root of things soon and can begin your recovery.
yep. After a triple antibiotic treatment for heliobacter infection, That has produced chronic digestive issues within me going on for 4-5 years now. I was diagnosed with functional dyspepsia symptoms. Which means I have continual stomach pains for the entire day. I also have an undiagnosed anal pain as well. Feels like knife pains that the docs have not been able to identify yet. this caused me to lose a lot of weight. 20 pounds from just not eating as much anymore. You feel physically weak due to inactivity and tired from managing pain. You develop depression and social anxiety from not going out due to fear. Sometimes you feel like the worst has come and you need to be reassured that it isn't. people who do not have chronic pain will not fully understand till they get it. For years.
Doesn't sound like excuses to me man. Not much of a commenter but a long time lurker on the channel. I think I speak for everyone here when I say that your health comes first and we'd all much prefer you take care of that without any guilt about the quality of your content. Hope you feel better soon brother. Love from UK.
Jay - we’re all behind you! Please take care of yourself and your family first. The channel and its great content and fans will all be here throughout the process. Stay strong!
I suffered a small stroke in 2010. I understand long haul problems that never get better or slowly get worse. You are NOT making excuses. You are being honest. And, it's appreciated. The big thing is never give up, which you haven't. That's actually a big victory. Stay the course, brother. We're here for you.
@@AbsolutelyJason Thank you. It's something of a never ending process. I know I will never be what I once was. But, I refuse to give up on improving myself. And, I hope no matter what comes your way that you do the same.
@@Genericusername1004 Thank you. Unfortunately, some things will never change. But, I try all kinds of things to keep my brain engaged, and myself growing. For example, I started TH-cam at age 60. Do yourself a giant favor: never give up on yourself. That is the biggest victory you can ever win.
I don't normally comment on videos but I just wanted to say a few things. First and foremost, take care of yourself. When it comes to your health, self preservation is 100% understandable, even more so when you have a family to worry about. Second of all, I just wanted to say thank you, your videos have been unbelievably helpful over the past few years in understanding and learning everything there is to know about PCs and PC components. I have learned so much because of your in depth and informative content. We love you, Jay. Take care of yourself and we wish you nothing but the absolute best.
@Jayztwocents I'm so sorry to hear about your health troubles Jay, your focus should 100% be on getting better and hopefully staying healthy in the future. Thanks for letting us know what is going on. I wish you a swift recovery and hope you can find a better balance going forward.
Take your time, Jay. Your health and well-being are more important than burning the candle at both ends. Take the time to get better. We will be here to support you.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we aren't just fans of your channel and content, but fans of YOU as a person. You've more than proven yourself to be a great guy, and more than deserve our support. You've always been here for us, now we are here for you. Take care of yourself. Put your health first, always ! Make sure you vouch for yourself with your doctors. It sounds like you have a great team, but if something doesn't seem right seek other help or 2nd opinions. ♥
It doesn't matter who the front man is, you've collectively earned the trust and respect of all who sub to you, Jay. Get well. For you, and your family!
I've been a silent viewer, but I have appreciated every piece of content, personality, and humanity you and your team have delivered through this channel. Much love to you and your family as you battle through and defeat whatever it is that is ailing you. Thoughts are with you -- and thanks for being you... and continue to take care of that you.
Dude take care of yourself, the reason you have this large of a platform is because you genuinely want to help others. You've done a great job and I'm sure the vast majority of the group will stand beside you, as you work through the hell of health issues you're going through. Praying for you.
It's not excuses, and some of us definitely understand that feeling. My heart valve conked out 6 years ago at 34 years old, along with an aortic aneurysm. I've never been so tired in my life. It's literally like being a zombie. Your channel was part of what got me through all the surgeries. I hope by this time next year, all of that is way behind you, and you feel like a human being again.
Jay, idk if you'll ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you. You didn't owe us this explanation even though it is welcomed. You've given all of so much over the years. We will continue to watch and engage and support you and your team. Focus on your health, focus on your family. We'll be here waiting for when you get all the way back and cheering you on the whole way. Just wanted to say thanks again. You, along with a few other TH-camrs unlocked my love for building and you specifically taught me to build my custom loop. We appreciate you man!
Hey my friend. Health concerns are scary as hell when you can't find a source. Hoping it's all good news from your doctors from here on out, and they're able to get you back on your feet. - Jeff
As a Cancer survivor myself, my prayers are with you. I hope that's not the road you have to walk down, but if it is, then know that treatments have come a really long way from where they were even 10 years ago. Take care of yourself and get well. Prayers are with you and your family.
We got your back bro! You put who ever needs to be in front of that camera. We’re here to keep watching in support and show you the same dedication you’ve always shown us. Be rooting for your come back…
As a Cancer survivor. Heath and Family is Everything. I always enjoy your content and will continue to no matter what the future holds for your and your Family. All the best to you my friend.
From someone who's been down a similar road recently: Be patient and listen to your Dr's and wife. They'll know what you need most. You've been a great help to all of us. You're in our prayers. We trust you and You've got a great team we're all behind yall!
Saying this explicitly: I am here for the JTC team, and look forward to seeing some of the content the other folks will bring to make the channel richer than ever! Sending all the healing thoughts/wishes/energy/prayers to you and yours. Appreciate you lots!
My wife has stage 4 breast cancer. It's been a battle, and I fully understand what you're going through. Hope the best for you, your family, and your treatment journey.
Man, I have MS and for me it's basically invisible to the populace at large. I generally walk normal and so forth, but inside it's an insane fight with insane fatigue, weird temperature sensitivities, strange digestion problems, and constant brain fog etc etc. And the last year has been filled with "wtf is going on now?" due to unexpected very intense gut problems with seemingly no answer. I feel your struggle. Godspeed Jay!
You straight up just described my life, with the one exception being that I seem to test negative for everything so the docs just shrug and point to CFS/ME as a way to say "Yeah the symptoms appear real but we have no idea why, good luck and have fun!" Hope you got yourself some kind of rhythm that works.. I thought I did for a while but the severity of each day is pretty randomised for me and throws off any ability to make plans
Dude, taking time out to concentrate on your health is not 'damage control to cover lazy output'. It's making tough choices to look after yourself and your family and it's the right thing to do. I'm relatively new to PC, but a year ago I built a digital art workstation by myself and it was because of your channel. I hope there are people out there, professional or otherwise who are looking out for you the way you look out for us. You're a legend chief. Defo looking forward to seeing more of the rest of the team. Look after yourself and don't worry about the fan base. We're here for the long haul and will still be here WHEN you get through this 👍👍 Much love dude
Quite true what you say. I have BPD and should of focused on my mental health instead of working all the time. I worked 5 days a week and came home to be a full time single dad and kept putting off important things like my health until I had an episode. It's just not worth it. I hope he gets the rest and recovery he needs without having to think about making videos as a priority.
@@markmathews2143 Yeah, I got diagnosed with MS, a broad disease. For me my cognition was shot. This was an eye-opener for me, as I used to be an on the road 3D Arist trainer. I have come to terms with the new me. Luckily I have the support of my wife. Hang in their JayzTwoCents! Remember mental state is important.
youve got this jay. As a father of a child who deals with health complications regularly, my heart goes out to you, and your family. Rest up and get the care you need!!!!
We got your back, Jay. You have cultivated a team that values honesty, community, and integrity. I hope we can show you how we have become part of that team too. Your job is your health now. We will step up and do you proud.
About 9 or10 years ago I stumbled onto this channel and learned how to do water cooling. Last year you guys were one of my main info sources for my current build. You (and the team) are among the few voices that I actually trust and respect in this racket. So, thanks for everything. Take care of yourself, be gentle with yourself, and focus on getting well. To echo what everyone's already said, I'm pulling for you.
Jay, you are getting the responses you do here because of how many people you have helped in their journey to learn about hardware and how to build fun rigs. No one worth their water would respond with anything short of thorough support. You and the team are fantastic and we aren't going anywhere! Get yourself focused your health and family and know your livelihood will be there when you're ready.
Very sorry to hear about your health issues. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Thanks for all that you have taught me over the years. I appreciate you and the whole team.
As a nurse it seems like you are well educated and invested in this issue and that will help you immensely. Love you Jay, continue to focus on what's important
As another nurse, I'll second this, Jay keep focused with your healthcare team and get better. In the meantime, of course, we will still enjoy the channel, regardless of Nick or Phil or yourself in front of the camera. Or Phil dying behind the camera.
Damn it, Jay. I see you as SO much more than just a tech guy with a youtube channel. I see you as a force for good in the world. I think you're a wonderful person and we all love you to pieces. It breaks my heart to hear of your health struggles and, I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say, if you need support, please reach out to your community that you have fostered and cared for for all these years. We have your back, Jay, and again, we love you. We will be here for you. Great job being on top of it and doing what you can to get ahead of what's happening, btw. And thanks so much for being so candid with us. Again, we love you, Dude. And you, too, Phil and Nick!!
We’re behind you all the way Jay. I have medical issues of my own. I have Chrons Disease and had my entire Colon removed when I was 17 (24 now). I’ve had an issue attempting to gain weight. Currently I weigh 135 lbs at 5’10. I eat 4000 calories a day, yet I’m gaining essentially a pound a month and my doctors can’t figure out why when everything is good, besides me being iron deficient. So I feel how you can in a way feel “defeated” for lack of a better term. Just listen to the docs, and do whatever they say. You got this.
I just want to wish you the best of luck with your health. I was diagnosed with throat cancer in August of 2020. I was cleared after a few months of treatment and have not had any relapses since. Sadly I spent all summer of 2023, June 1 till the end of August in the hospital with an infection in my brain. With great care and love from my family, I survived and am doing very well. I wish you the best of luck with what you are going through. Don't stop fighting!
Jay & Team - I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your transparency and ethics behind this video message to us all. I'll be sending you all my positive vibes and warm thoughts as you navigate whatever challenges are going on. You've got my love and support, my brother. 💗
Man Jay, I'm sorry to hear this. I've been going through some health issues myself and I know how hard it is. If you have your health you have everything. Good luck and godspeed my friend.
No one would blame you from stepping back for a while to put you and your health ahead of you content creation. You're a husband and dad first. Take care of you and your family and we'll see you on the flip side. God Bless.
Hey Jay!!!...you got this!!!...one day at a time!!!...I've had 3 heart attacks...Quad bypass, Affib with ablation surgery and cancer with 8 rounds of chemo...even on the darkest days, attitude is everything...keep being the inspiration we all look to...and thanks for being brave enough to share your story with all of us...its part of the medicine...all the best!!!!
Your job right now is to take care of yourself for your family and your future. Our job is to continue to watch the channel to support whoever is on the video... we have your back Jay!
You are one of the most genuine people on YT and I have always respected your transparency. Wishing you the best for your Health and a bright 2024. We got you brother.
@@edwardmacnab354 You are probably young. I am over 50 and every year despite eating right getting regular exercise things still go bad. All the doctors say is to learn to live with it because I am getting older. For the most part I am still healthy for a typical American. I guarantee his issues are in some way related to his age.
@@JohnCiaccioi'm 76 and the only problems i have is that sneaky prostate that needed a TURP after it silently destroyed one kidney and half of the other , and a weird autoimmune response related to (believe it or not) exercising that I haven't seen a doctor about yet but will see one just to make sure it doesn't turn into outright Rheumatism . I have a bearable chronic pain right now but hopefully SAID's will deal with it. THAT part IS age related MAYBE . My body is telling me not to be physical , to NOT exercise (too much). Then again , the whole mess might be related to my reduced kidney function messing up my whole metabolism . Whatever the case , I sure wish enlarged prostates gave more symptoms because the TURP was a cinch. No pain or anything. The whole scenario makes me old , not the other way round. It's his previous surgeries that are probably the cause of his current problem, barring his actually having colon cancer
As a cancer survivor myself you have the absolute correct attitude. You have a team of professionals that will give you any advice you need. Take care of yourself Jay, we are all behind you
One would think that if, at 500lbs, the doctors are telling the patient that they are "very healthy according to the markers", one would begin to question the health markers themselves, let alone the "team of professionals" who are solely relying on them to guide their patients.... When has it every been a great idea to ~blindly trust a "team of professionals" vs getting the most opinions possible from multiple trusted professionals...? I had a Dr, backed by a team of professionals, who had me on a, heavily supplemented, whole-food plant-based diet for years... It wasn't until I went full carnivore that I started regaining my strength and vitality.
Short and sweet, spend every moment you can with your children. Nobody has ever said, "I spent too much time with my kids". We will still be here watching your channel no matter what.
Dude, all our prays to you and big ups on you for taking the courage to explain your current condition. You were the Watercooling Guru 99% of us grew up with! We love you Jay!
Plenty of people don’t pay attention to or talk about their health issues, and folks are rarely better off for it. So thank you for being willing to share. I’m hoping for the best for you, your family, and your crew.
I survived cancer 15 years ago and I enjoy every single day of my life now. Back then I thought it was the end of my life but family and friends were there for me and I got through it and you will too. You already are on the right path with the positive attitude and good doctors. The love and support from your TH-cam family is icing on the cake. Good luck ❤❤

I really hope you get better soon Jay, whatever happens I'll be here watching the content as soon as it drops as always. Take care mate 👍
To Jay and anyone reading, don't be scared of a colonoscopy. The prep is the only challenge, stay close to a toilet the day before. The operation itself is a breeze, quick and painless with a mild sedation. I've had them yearly since colon cancer put me in the E.R. at age 24 just five years ago. Was a rough year after two partial collectomies, but things have been great since. Lesson 1 is don't ignore what your body is trying to tell you. Lesson 2 is get checked early and get checked often.
lesson 3 is dont get the no sedation option. I was too much in a rush and decided id be fine without trying to organise a carride home. Worst decision ever.
Im a morbus chrons enjoyer since 2007, there is no longer a colon to scopy for me... but ye, the prep is the worst, painkillers and relaxers helps alot on the procedure itself. Id much rather take the colonoscopy over gastronoscopy. Best of luck to Jay
I'm a disabled veteran who, every time I try to get my life on track, a new issue seems to pop up that sets me back. It's hard to tell yourself that you have to cut back and focus on yourself, especially when you thoroughly enjoy what it is that you're doing. But focusing on your health is always the priority. Your fans are more than just people who like to watch your videos, we all want to see you well, and if taking a step back or having lower quality videos is the price to pay for you taking care of yourself then all of us are happy to be patient while you get yourself right. I'm glad that you are putting yourself first instead of the channel, it's a tough decision to make but it's definitely the right one. Good luck with everything!

I'm a colon cancer survivor. I had a similar story. I know how terrified you are right now. All I can offer is to trust yourself to handle whatever comes. You've dealt with every bad thing to date in your life. I'm sure there have been moments of great struggle, you dealt with them, and you can deal with this too.

this is not age related
@@edwardmacnab354 You are probably young. I am over 50 and every year despite eating right getting regular exercise things still go bad.

Here in Australia, getting a colonoscopy is a pretty standard affair. Was surprised to read that people can be scared though thanks for sharing.
Im a morbus chrons enjoyer since 2007, there is no longer a colon to scopy for me... but ye, the prep is the worst, painkillers and relaxers helps alot on the procedure itself. Id much rather take the colonoscopy over gastronoscopy.
Best of luck to Jay
