Goodfellas was, is, and always will be one of my favorite movies of all time! The ultimate male film! So sad that all these great men who played in these fantastic mob movies are dying. God bless their families going through these hard times and God rest their souls! 🙏
Yes, Yes, Yes! I was *blessed* to have met Mr. Paul Sorvino back in 2011. He was in town filming a little known independent film entitled _God Don't Make the Laws._ I was managing the little Inn/B&B that several cast members were staying at. I got to have coffee with him every morning for about 2 weeks. I originally would bring him fresh coffee, fruits and various pastries every morning right before filming would begin. The second day I brought it, he asked me to join him. That's just the kinda guy Paul was. He found out that I'm a second generation Italian-American, so many of our discussions were about that and growing up Italian. He also said that I reminded him a lot of his daughter Mira, which greatly pleased me as Im a huge fan of her's, also. She and I are very close in age...she is a couple years older. In turn, Mr. Sorvino greatly reminded me of my dad. I ended up having dinner with Mr. Sorvino on his last night in town. I just can't say enough positive things about him. He was an excellent actor and an amazing human being who is greatly missed. Oh, and I managed to serve as an extra in the film thanks to Mr. Sorvino.
Goodfellas is one of the best films I've ever seen and it was sad enough that Ray Liotta Passed. Now Paul Sorvino too. It might've been a Depiction of a Dark Time in American History but these Men brought it to life. RIP Paul Sorvino
Paul was a great guy and very generous. He was also very proud of his family. Back in the early 80s, I was his understudy for a play at the Boltax Dinner Theater. We spoke in Italian to each other and he asked me to help him with a northern Italian accent. He was cast in the film "Reds" and had to play an Italian Communist/Anarchist from Milano. His Italian was good, but he had a heavy Neapolitan accent. We met a few times at his apartment in the Ansonia Hotel in Manhattan and went over his sides. He had a natural singing voice that should have been further developed. Anyway, his physical appearance belied a truly good heart. Then again, he was a "guaiò". Riposi in pace, amico mio!
What a lovely tribute, R.I.P Paul Sorvino..gone but not forgotten, maybe he's singing with the angels ..In goodfellas..superb, Paul just had the look..you looked at him..he had that..Don't even think about it..in his eyes.
I condsider Goodfellas to be a "drop the remote" film. Whenever its on, you drop the remote and watch. Another great video! I cannot get enough of this channel. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Goodfellas is the greatest gangster film of all time. I've seen it countless times in my life and not a single moment in it ever bores me, it's such an endless source of entertainment. R.I.P. Paul Sorvino and R.I.P. Ray Liotta.
I'll take The Godfather, but Goodfellas as an easy second, and City of God as a somewhat related third. Can't fault you for your own good taste, though!
Lovely tribute Michael, Paul was a great actor. He was brilliant in Goodfellas. Come to Dublin and I'll make you an offer you can't refuse... I'll buy you a pint of Guinness 🇮🇪😉
Beautiful tribute to Paul. Its heartbreaking to see this group of actors going to the great movie studio in the sky. Thank you Paul for your body of work and Thank You Michael for all you do. Rest easy Paul and we will go easy on the onions in the sauce. Salud!
I have a framed painting of liotta pesci de Nero and big Paul sorvino on my living room wall for nearly 20 years .I can't believe we have lost 2 of those iconic actors. I looked at the painting today and thought to myself , I thought these guys were immortal. R I P pauly. Great tribute Mike.

You know, you can sit in a theater and know consciously that you're watching a movie; a two dimensional depiction of a story but when Paul Sorvino looked into the camera and threatened the viewer, you believed it. Great actor. Rest in Peace Pauly.
I love the story behind Goodfellas that Paul sorvino was super nervous about playing the Vario character in Goodfellas and didn't think he could pull off the part.... which was crazy to me when I heard that because he so looks the part and he did such a fantastic job in the movie
Being an iconic actor is one thing many aspire to be but too be a larger then life legend in your families eyes is the pinnacle we should always aim to be. Good tribute again
RIP Paul Sorvino. Excellent actor. It's truly sad how we've lost quite a bit of legends recently. Thank you for your tribute to him and others Michael. Keep up the great work and God bless you and the families who have lost their loved ones as well as the ones who are gone as well.

If anyone wants to hear a little more from Paul Sorvino about his role in Goodfellas, most of the film's commentary track is on TH-cam. You can hear from him and the other cast members about their thoughts and their roles. It's in the commentary track where you can listen to Sorvino talk about finding the "evil" side in himself for the Paulie Vario role and his initial apprehension for playing the role too. Definitely worth a listen! RIP Paul Sorvino, Ray Liotta, and James Caan. Forever immortalized on the big screen!
He was a great actor and I probably watch Goodfellas at least once or twice a year. It never gets old I believe it’s just the actors everyone was great one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion.
And sadly, here we are again, far sooner than we'd hoped. I loved this guy, and my mom had a crush on him forever, especially when he was on LAW & ORDER. He and Jimmy Caan were in THE GAMBLER together. Another very nice video tribute, Michael. RIP Big Daddy.
Hi Michael! This is such a lovely tribute. I discovered Mr. Sorvino on Law & Order and loved his work. He was unforgettable in Goodfellas but in my mind he was a cop. I truly feel for his family because a father’s love is everything.
What a sad few months it has been. Losing all these wonderful actors really, really sucks! Anyway, God bless you Michael and may he continue to watch over you and yours during your travels and keep you safe. Thanks for all you do!
Michael, what a well-formed and powerful eulogy. Your friendship with Paul Sorvino shines through. Thoughtful, compassionate and articulate- the time you spent preparing for this video is very evident and very much appreciated. It is said that a man's reputation is what people say about him behind his back. A man's legacy is what people say about him when he has passed on to Paradise. "Eccellente," Michael, and thank you.

It’s unreal. In a short time period we’ve lost Ray Liotta, James Caan, Tony Sirico, and now Paul Sorvino. This is sad!

Same here, i will praise mr Robert Nelson over and over again because he has great skills, i started with $2000 and after 2week i received a returns of $6,000 then i continue with him ever since he has been delivering.
I'm glad to see Mr Robert Nelson mentioned here, my spouse recommended him to Me after investing $4000 and he has really helped us financially in times of COVID -19 lockdown here in Australia 🇦🇺
