The production value in your videos is top tier. Catchy, easily identifiable intro music, each intro being specific to the video, high quality camera/microphone, seamless transitions to movie clips and real footage, etc. Seriously professional. Even in a London hotel room the framing and lighting is perfect. That’s not even to mention the quality of the content. Huge fan here, obviously
I love A Bronx's Tale. Actually grew up in a similar situation, only my father played both parts. He tried to steer me away from a bad life because he knew how destructive it could be, since he had (and still has) friends connected to the mob. Always could see myself in Calogero in that movie. Great video as always Mr. Franzese!
Gr8 vid Mike love it. My favorite scene has to be when Michael tells Fredo "your my older brother and I love you but never take sides with anyone against the family.....ever." that scene just resonates with me so much because of situations in my family. So many others too.
The ones I remember the most are: the "funny how?" scene, Goodfellas at the end in the court and in the WPP, Sonny Corleone getting shot by the tommy guns, Michael Corleone at the baptism and the different mob bosses getting killed, Goodfellas when Henry is narrating and introducing you and the other people, Henry Hill driving around with the helicopter flying over him Vito Corelone shooting the local mob boss during the parade, Vito Corleone stabbing the guy who killed his mother at the beginning
You never disappoint, brother. Great reviews. My favorite is in Goodfellas, when Tommy got whacked. It was sad and justified at the same time. Sad because Henry and Jimmy's friend was killed. Justified because Tommy went against the code. God bless you and our ministry. Keep it up.
The scene from “A Bronx tale” when they’re shooting craps, and they start locking people in the bathroom🤣🤣 Definitely one of my favorites “I don’t want his face looking at that face, when he’s throwing my dice!”
@@dr2361 I never realized how good Chaz Palmetary is until I seen him with Michael. A One Man Show. That has to be unique..please excuse me if I spelled his last name wrong. Thank you!
What a fantastic scene! That greasy, lying, corrupt pile of crap Senator talking about how he hated seeing Italians in their shiny suits in his "clean" part of the country was all too real. "And I'd appreciate it if you would personally put up the money for the license." Priceless.
Connie's boyfriend Earl. If I was him I would have asked Michael what he wanted me to do and I would do it. Family matter and you don't want me there. I'm gone. These were folks that you didn't disrespect or disregard their wishes.
Not an Italian mob film technically speaking but one that always sticks out for me that is almost always forgotten is when Carlito is shot by Benny Blanco after being betrayed by Pachanga. It's so sad being betrayed by your best friend in front of your woman mere steps away from walking away from the life.
I bought one of Joe Pistone's books. In the back was a CD with the recorded conversations Donnie Brasco had with Lefty over the phone. Listening to that I could only see Al Pacino's face connected to Lefty's actual voice. The first scene that comes to my mind is Michael Corleone facing Fredo in Cuba after the rebels start getting everyone routed. He grabs Fredo says "I know it was you Fredo! I know it was you!" and gives him the kiss of death. Next would be Godfather 3 when Michael is holding the body of his daughter and let's out the silent scream. Having my own daughters, this scene can actually bring a tear to my eye. I loved the craps scene in the basement. Coffee Cake was my favorite. But the best scene from that movie for me was Sonny telling Calogero about the three women in a man's life, and he gave the dating advice telling C to lock the doors, and walk around the back of the car to see if the girl unlocks his door for him. If not don't go out with her again. I found that to be very good advice in real life. That last scene!!! HA! HA! HA!
My favorite scene is at the end of Godfather 1 when Michael deals with Carlo Rizzi and delivers the line "Don't tell me you are innocent. Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry."
My most favorite scene in Mob Movie history is also from the 1996 movie Gotti. When Gotti and Mr Niel walk on the graveyard and are talking. It's soo powerfull. Gives me goosbumps everytime.
Hyman Roth’s cold blooded scene “… this is the business we chose…”, or the scene in Goodfellas, when Tommy got whacked. These scenes , no matter how authentic, remind you of how cold the life is.
Mine is in Godfather 2. After the hit on Michael in his estate, and he and his bodyguards were strolling through the estate in the dark with that ominous music in the background. Still gives me goosebumps. Also the Hyman Roth dialogue with Michael in his hotel room. Classic.
Great stuff...everyone of those scenes is a classic and I am proud to say I have seen them all. I am glad "A Bronx Tale" has a few scenes mentioned. I remember we loved the gangster genre back in the 90's as I was growing up and we loved that film. Really under-rated but an instant classic. My money would have been on Trump in the bar.
The scene that comes to mind really quick was in Goodfellas. When Henry hill was looking for the stash when he got out of jail than realizing Karen flushed it down the toilet. You can really see the panic and pain because Henry knew what that meant.
Michael my favorite scene as a wine lover & merchant and a man who used to disregard the law might be from the Sopranos after Tony and Chris steal the crates of 1986 Pichon then walk into the steakhouse and Tony asks “what’s your corkage fee.” Just hits so close to home and James’ sly smile in the scene makes my heart so happy. I know it’s not a movie per se but I get so emotional about him and that scene that it’s hard to think of anything else.
Michael, love your content! Great list! One scene in The Godfather 2 when Michael finds out Tessio betrayed him and Tessio figures out that walk to the car meant he wasn’t coming back. When Tessio looks at Tom Hagen and says something like “can you get me off on old time’s sake?” And Tom shales his head “no” and responds, “can’t do it sally” … chills and hard swallow moment
I hated that scene precisely because of Tessio's line. Didn't think it was even mildly realistic. It's not like they were going to forgive his setting up an ambush of the family's boss "for old times' sake."
Thanks , Michael , for your personal takes on the movies we love & have enjoyed for years . It's very interesting to read the comments , opinions & why people connect to & remember certain scenes . Also , many quotes from these movies have become part of our daily conversations & personally , I enjoy that when using a movie quote , the other person immediately picks up on it - that " hey-you-get-it-too ! The beginning of Goodfellas is brilliant. We see the grisly, violent aspect of the mob that disturbs Henry, but it's immediately contrasted with the classy veneer of mob life that appealed to him as a youth.
Hello Michael, I just watched your interview with djvlad. You were absolutely brilliant and so patient with him and some of his silly question. It was great to watch and you were so diplomatic on occasion. Thank you it was a great and sometimes funny interview. God bless
For me it was Donnie Brasco, when Al Pacino leaves his wallet and jewellery by the door, straighten things a bit and leaving, knowing it’s the last time he will see this place. Almost made me cry.
He killed almost 30 guys. I got a kick out of him in the movie but none of the deaths or impending deaths ever brought me close to tears. But REAL life? I have deceased family that may or may not have had a very minor role in costa nostra but I still cried at their wakes. they were very old men by then. So if I could cry at that, I guess that scene could bring you to tears :)
Awesome list Michael - the bar scene in the Bronx tale is elite. I’ve got three scenes that are classics as well. The scene in the Bronx tale where Sonny teaches Calogio about etiquette and the car door test and the Copacabana scene in Goodfellas where Henry Hill walks in with his girlfriend through the back and all the way to the front of the stage. Finally, how you could you not go past the “you think I’m funny” scene with Joe Pesci and Ray Liotta in Goodfellas. Classic!!
I just watched the Godfather Saga: parts 1 and 2 in chronological order, and with deleted scenes put back in. It’s amazing how much more fleshed out the scenes are. I’ll vote for the scene where Michael tells of his plan to shoot the Turk and the police captain at dinner. I love how Michael steps up to the family obligations in that scene, how people first laugh it of, and how they then take him seriously. It was the first time he took real steps into the family business, but also his first step into the dark side that he would live to regret.
When I was in my 20s, I guy I knew was getting married. His father parked his car on the street right out front of the church. An EXPENSIVE car. Somebody said to him that maybe he should park it in the lot so it's safer. He was pretty high up the mafia ladder. He said "no one is going to steal my car" somebody stole his car. Now chances of getting away with stealing a car (much easier and faster back then) without being detected were far less likely than stealing a bag at a mob wedding. But this is a world of gangsters. So anything is possible. I knew guys growing up. I wasn't involved but there were always sit downs because people were always doing things they weren't supposed to. But yeah, robbing that bag at that wedding, kinda close to suicide
@@bajorekjon more entertaining scenes for sure. But to be in a room filled with guys that don't give a fuck..and still be confident enough to know you are untouchable. BOSS MODE!!
The sitdown in Goodfellas where Paulie and Jimmy tell Henry that he needs to go back to Karen is great, especially when De Niro says, "I can't have it." Also the sitdown in Scarface where Sosa explains to Tony why the Bolivian journalist needs to be killed is terrific. ("You have a problem Tony. WE, have a problem.")

Thank you Michael. Excellent video. My favorite scenes are in Goodfellas/Casino/Godfather, but the movie that is hard for me to watch because it is very real for me and mirrors my experiences is 'the Road to Perdition'. So many aspects of it hit so close to home for me that it is emotional to watch. It is still my story everyday... I know what it feels like to be faced with death also. It is a chilling and sobering experience. Very cool that you knew Lefty. He's a favorite of mine! God bless
The most iconic scene to me is easily the final scene of the original Godfather. I like Part II but it’s probably the best movie that wasn’t needed. The Godfather was such a perfect movie/story & that final scene is probably the best way to wrap up a plot I ever seen.
One that stands out straight away is in The Godfather when Michael is at the baptism and he’s denouncing evil while there’s cut scenes of all these hits he ordered taking place. So dark and intense

@@garethrevell5873 was a good movie but they should have used actors that actually looked like Gotti and Sammy. The actors that played them looked nothing like them so it was hard to imagine them as Gotti and Sammy.
Joe Pesci's death scene from Casino comes to mind just because of the sheer brutality of it. Throughout the film he is the Big Bad of the characters and then he is suddenly in the vulnerable position because of all the mistakes that he made. It is gruesome and very violent and I have to say hard to watch. Joe actually broke one of his ribs whilst shooting that scene.

One of my personal favorites has become the scene in the Irishman when Frank first meets Russ. Frank asks Russ what his name is, but Russ just looks at him from a moment, and then just asks him where he’s from. I don’t know, there’s just something about that that really stands out to me. I feel like it communicates all the mystery and power of the mob of that time, since the scene is supposed to take place in the 50s.
The first two that came to my mind were these: 1. The entire section of the Godfather where Sonny is attacking Connie's husband for hitting her. Something about those scenes, from Sonny realizing what happened to Connie to him throwing the husband into the trashcan has always stuck with me 2. The scene from the Godfather Part II where Michael realizes Fredo is the one who betrayed him. The intensity of that scene, seeing Michael hold his older brother's head and tell him he broke his heart, was so captivating. It was so well acted on both parts, the emotion in both men's eyes and Pacino's delivery makes that scene one of the best to me

I am a Godfather fanatic, so most of my favorite scenes are from the Godfather movies. #1 is by far the meeting of the families and the Don's speech.
The ones I remember the most are:
the "funny how?" scene,
Goodfellas at the end in the court and in the WPP,
Sonny Corleone getting shot by the tommy guns,
Michael Corleone at the baptism and the different mob bosses getting killed,
Goodfellas when Henry is narrating and introducing you and the other people,
Henry Hill driving around with the helicopter flying over him
Vito Corelone shooting the local mob boss during the parade,
Vito Corleone stabbing the guy who killed his mother at the beginning
You never disappoint, brother. Great reviews. My favorite is in Goodfellas, when Tommy got whacked. It was sad and justified at the same time. Sad because Henry and Jimmy's friend was killed. Justified because Tommy went against the code. God bless you and our ministry. Keep it up.
The scene from “A Bronx tale” when they’re shooting craps, and they start locking people in the bathroom🤣🤣 Definitely one of my favorites “I don’t want his face looking at that face, when he’s throwing my dice!”
I've seen them all except "The Bronx Tale" & the HBO Gotti that Michael speaks very highly of.
@@dustycomfort you wont be disappointed, they are both great films.
Im jealous i cannot watch them again for the first time
Put him in the fuckin bathroom!
@@JR-ob5sw wow, thanks! Tonight I will finally see it then.
@@dr2361 I never realized how good Chaz Palmetary is until I seen him with Michael. A One Man Show. That has to be unique..please excuse me if I spelled his last name wrong. Thank you!
The rooftop scene in the Godfather 2 was arguably the greatest piece of filming ever done. The cinematography in it is world class.
I'm on a diet. I don't want a big slice of cake. OK, fair enough.
The scene that always gives me chills is michael talking to the senator in his office in the Godfather part 2."My offer is this.......nothing"
What a fantastic scene! That greasy, lying, corrupt pile of crap Senator talking about how he hated seeing Italians in their shiny suits in his "clean" part of the country was all too real. "And I'd appreciate it if you would personally put up the money for the license." Priceless.
Yup. Great scene. Of the 2 I'd say Michael was the more decent person.
@@lanenordgren7641 Absolutely!
Connie's boyfriend Earl. If I was him I would have asked Michael what he wanted me to do and I would do it. Family matter and you don't want me there. I'm gone. These were folks that you didn't disrespect or disregard their wishes.
The silhouettes of the 2 zips in the background of that scene as Neil delivers that speech is a fantastic touch -- intense
Not an Italian mob film technically speaking but one that always sticks out for me that is almost always forgotten is when Carlito is shot by Benny Blanco after being betrayed by Pachanga. It's so sad being betrayed by your best friend in front of your woman mere steps away from walking away from the life.
Same.
Just watched that again recently. Such a good movie!
I love your content and I’m looking forward to catching more from you man. Keep doing what you do brother
HA! HA! HA!
The biker scene in a Bronx tale is unbelievable. All of those scenes are but I love when he locks the door and says now you’s can’t leave.
“Maybe you didn't hear about it, you've been away a long time. They didn't go up there and tell you. I don't shine shoes anymore.” 10/10
I love the scene in the Godfather when they go to the mattresses and Clemenza gives Michael a cooking lesson
Great scene
I like how Michael likes this comment lowkey lol
It's not a mob scene though it's an addict looking for his stash
P I. 9?. You. 9p0000090
@@talsolomon4372Goodfellas is a mob movie genius
That ending scene was great. Just remarkable. Good job Mr. Franzese. Other TH-camrs should watch the full video I enjoyed it
Michael my favorite scene as a wine lover & merchant and a man who used to disregard the law might be from the Sopranos after Tony and Chris steal the crates of 1986 Pichon then walk into the steakhouse and Tony asks “what’s your corkage fee.” Just hits so close to home and James’ sly smile in the scene makes my heart so happy. I know it’s not a movie per se but I get so emotional about him and that scene that it’s hard to think of anything else.
YES! In the “Bronx Tale”……..’put him in the battroom’!! We laughed 🤣 so hard and still do when we think of it!! 👏👏. 😆. 😆 🤣 ✌️
Pesci was the King of great scenes. So many in Goodfellas, but the desert scene with Deniro was absolute classic.
This man is a legend I haven’t even started the video barely and I already know it’s going to be awesome and extremely entertaining
Me too! I always feel the same ☺️
@@michaelfranzese your story changed my life and you responding to my comment just made my day buddy
@@flatwater5 that’s why I liked it. He said the only thing he felt. Desperation
@@shaunhawk7598 Okay, I can see that.
Ah great review Mr Franzese. It's great to see you light up with enthusiasm and joy reliving those scenes 😊❤️
We love ya brother
Thanks , Michael , for your personal takes on the movies we love & have enjoyed for years . It's very interesting to read the comments , opinions & why people connect to & remember certain scenes . Also , many quotes from these movies have become part of our daily conversations & personally , I enjoy that when using a movie quote , the other person immediately picks up on it - that " hey-you-get-it-too ! " moment is great !
One of my all time favorite scenes is from the Godfather 2 when Michael Corleone asked Hyman Roth who gave the order, the actor who played Hyman Roth was so convincing in that scene!
The actor was Lee Strasberg, one of the founders of the Actors Studio, and Pacino had been his student.
Most people don’t even know how influential Lee Strasberg was and is in the industry. Ironically he is like the Godfather of the acting world
@@emmanueloppong9778 Lee Strasberg died February 17, 1982, so he is not In the industry now, But he WAS definitely an icon in the industry, absolutely.
@@divaah4406 I know he died. But his influence is definitely still felt throughout the whole industry which was my original point. Great example of his influence was mentioned earlier about Al Pacino. Have a good day🙏🏿
@@emmanueloppong9778 You also ✌
The beginning of Goodfellas is brilliant. We see the grisly, violent aspect of the mob that disturbs Henry, but it's immediately contrasted with the classy veneer of mob life that appealed to him as a youth.
Yea, there are so many films with great openings.
But if you’re gonna rank them, that one is up there.
One of my favorites is the go get your shine box. Then Tommy apologized to Henry for getting blood on the floor 😀😃😁
All amazing movies. Loved by millions who have had the pleasure to watch them.
Hello Michael, I just watched your interview with djvlad. You were absolutely brilliant and so patient with him and some of his silly question. It was great to watch and you were so diplomatic on occasion. Thank you it was a great and sometimes funny interview. God bless
I personally love the scene where Michael has Carlo killed in the first Godfather. It shows how ruthless he became.
Carlo set up Sonny. If it was up to me Carlo would not get a quick death. He would get slow torture.
For me it was Donnie Brasco, when Al Pacino leaves his wallet and jewellery by the door, straighten things a bit and leaving, knowing it’s the last time he will see this place. Almost made me cry.
That was heartbreaking
Yea, that’s a rough one.
Michael actually does some super surprisingly good impersonations 😂! Especially those lefty guns lines hahahahaha! Awesome.
Classic!!
The soul of America. Indeed. Thank you from California! We are under represented.
The 1st dance as man and wife. When Karen asked Henry about the money bag. He said not to worry nobody would dare take it. I just found it powerful
When I was in my 20s, I guy I knew was getting married. His father parked his car on the street right out front of the church. An EXPENSIVE car. Somebody said to him that maybe he should park it in the lot so it's safer.
He was pretty high up the mafia ladder.
He said "no one is going to steal my car"
somebody stole his car.
There are like 50 better scenes in Goodfellas
@@bajorekjon more entertaining scenes for sure. But to be in a room filled with guys that don't give a fuck..and still be confident enough to know you are untouchable. BOSS MODE!!
The sitdown in Goodfellas where Paulie and Jimmy tell Henry that he needs to go back to Karen is great, especially when De Niro says, "I can't have it." Also the sitdown in Scarface where Sosa explains to Tony why the Bolivian journalist needs to be killed is terrific. ("You have a problem Tony. WE, have a problem.")
I will always remember the scene when Paulie gives Henry a dress down!!! RIP Paulie Sorvino and Ray Liotta!!!!

I watched it yesterday on your say and I was not disappointed, thanks.
The one that will always stick out to me is in the Godfather II. When Michael says that nothing is to happen to Fredo while their mother was alive. To be able to know you're going to kill your brother. To me it was just so cold!!
Micheal your videos are so amazing. I just love and appreciate what you and your crew are doing for your fans. Keep up the great work. Loads of respect 🫡!!
The Irishman cereal scene was amazing. “Either way he has to go”
Thank you Michael. God bless
Always excellent content, thank you Michael.
The most iconic scene to me is easily the final scene of the original Godfather. I like Part II but it’s probably the best movie that wasn’t needed. The Godfather was such a perfect movie/story & that final scene is probably the best way to wrap up a plot I ever seen.
That was an epic episode and ending Michael! We can only hope the "Bar" gets cleaned out of all the undesirables come 2024! 👍
Amen!
One that stands out straight away is in The Godfather when Michael is at the baptism and he’s denouncing evil while there’s cut scenes of all these hits he ordered taking place. So dark and intense
Hahahahaha the political skit at the end of the video brilliant had me laughing from the start well done Mr Franzese thank you for making me laugh and God bless you and your family and I hope everyone is safe and healthy
lol...loved this!!!!!
My absolute favourite mob movie scene is Goodfellas the Layla scene, I just think that is the most beautifully shot scene which is Erie considering all the murder that happened, and the song choice was just incredible
That’s my favorite too
Yeah, great scene and inspired choice of music
The sit down with John Gotti and Neil Dellacroce scene in HBO’s Gotti movie is top 3 best mob movie scenes
I Love the film Gotti. 1 of my favourites of all time. I like the scene where Neil dies and he says something like 'this thing of ours only last 5 minutes'. Great actors and I Love this channel as well. Michael Franzese seems like an absolute straight talking no bullshit guy. Would love to spend a weekend with him just drinking some of his wine and listening to all his stories.
Subscribed love your podcasts. Looking forward to the wine coming to the UK. Fav scene Freddo on the rocking chair with Michael. Superb acting, powerful and emotional.
Thanks! I haven't seen some of these and now I can't wait to watch them.
Yeah that’s a good one
Chaz saying "Now youse can't leave" was the 1st thing I thought of. Superb writing and acting.
The first two that came to my mind were these:
1. The entire section of the Godfather where Sonny is attacking Connie's husband for hitting her. Something about those scenes, from Sonny realizing what happened to Connie to him throwing the husband into the trashcan has always stuck with me

Hey Mr. Franzese, I really liked this video. Very authentic and pleasant. Great!
The finale of The Godfather Part 2 was as cold as it gets. Unforgettable.
The one that came into my head straight away was the Godfather christening scene. Where all the heads of the families get took out
Absolutely my favorite scene of all time.
The dialogue between Tom Hagen and Frankie Pentangeli, its so perfect.
Michael one of my favorite scenes.. is when Michael and Fred’s are in Cuba at the party. Michael grabs his face and said you broke my heart. And the part right before, when he finds out his own brother betrayed him. It’s always about family. Pacino really played that part..
"Now Get Outta My Sight" Always Pops in My Head
That last scene. So personally moving.
I like the scene where Michael said to Frodo after a fight with Moe Greene, ".but do not ever get sides with anyone against you family again. Ever"
The Neil Dellacroce scene is way up there, also Hyman Roth’s “this is the business we’ve chosen!!” Is one of the best
One of my favorite mob movie scenes is in GoodFellas when all the bodies are discovered after the Lufthansa heist with Henry Hill/Ray Liotta narrating and Layla by Derek and the Dominos piano playing over it
Goodfellas restaurant "and then he kissed me" sequence. True art.
Thank you for bring this to everyone's attention. It is so scary out there. One a better side I love all the scenes you picked.
Paulie Gatto gets clipped. Wide shot with the Statue of Liberty in the background, beautiful. And with the 'Leave the gun, take the cannoli' line being improvised just made it perfect.
GF2, when Vito is explaining to Clemenza and Tessio how he will handle Fanucci.
He speaks in Sicilian till he says,"I take care of everything".
