one of the best nioh weapon builds vid here, thank you! never thought of reforging 3 at a time, im at level 750 and cant seem to put out heavy damage like others do.
@@kingkerfuffle3173 - Can you please tell the background music when you are explaining your build? I really like it and want to buy it legit and support the music producer?
I'm very late to the party, but as a result of a recent gpu explosion I've been going pretty hard on Nioh 1 (Nioh 2 wouldn't run if i tried on the gpu i'm running now). I bounced off the game in 2018 in Chugoku, but after swapping to maining spear I've been enjoying things way more. I just hit the level cap less than an hour ago after gaining enough strength to one shot the masters on Marobashi. I've never really had a proper secondary weapon with serious use or consideration, and this may be what I was looking for. Following in the path you've set my goal is to rival this strength, but with the spear as my own primary rather than the sword. It's nice to see someone else running spear at a power level this high, as I've not seen many others running spear like this.
David Pinto Jordan5221 is it possible to get a million damage in one hit thanks I realized that I still can’t get million damage can you create a updated video I still love this game I noticed team ninja nerfed this game I can only get 228,206 damage thanks to this video and all the other videos on TH-cam how do you get a million damage
if elemental dmg is a fixed percentage of the total normal dmg you do then you should be able to calculate the dmg you do by knowing the % you get as bonus elemental dmg as in if cap was 100 dmg and you did 1000 with 20% elemental and got 200 elemental dmg you could find the number despite the cap this is however going on that the elemental dmg is not affected by the dmg being at the cap of 999999
Interesting observation. If that is indeed the case, then the values I got in my "what can this build do?" test in my Kensei build video put that at roughly 1.39%. Applying that to this would put the total uncapped damage at roughly 1,076,978. I'll have to do some additional tests to see if that holds true or not.
Hi Kerfluffles, If I were to forgo Tornado (since to me it's a skill closely similar to Quickdraw) and just use Wild Spear as a secondary skill, wouldn't a higher attack multiplier spear or the one with 20-25 yokai CCD be better as opposed to Japan's Bravest? Also, would going full Futsunushi as a grace for it be worth it for the Pierce Guard 20%? That way you can reforge to something else if it's required. I don't know if you had the opportunity to crunch these numbers in the past.
Yes those would be viable options, however it really comes down to how lucky you are with either a found or forged weapon. Both of the spears in this video were found weapons, not forged, and them being part of the Japan's Bravest set was not intended. This build kinda just made itself more than anything else, I just did minor tweaks and reforges to try and optimize it as much as possible. If either of them had dropped as a non-set spear then i would likely have defiled it to Futsunushi for the Peirce Guard.
What is background music at 6:05 - it is amazing - can you please share? I believe you have Overwatch Animated Short Dragon Theme on Repeat - Is that correct? Sorry it took me a while to pick it up :(
hey, thanks for the vids - do you have any ideas for builds that don't rely on critical health? i've been scouring the web and i literally cannot find people using builds that aren't either a LW crit health, or a regular critical health build, it seems... odd i've been trying to make a LW focused durability or tank build, and i'm currently on floor 60 ish, and i've been struggling, i've tried a lot of varieties and i wanna know if you have any idea for a build that can be durable in high content? or at least one that doesn't rely so heavily on sitting at 1hp lol
Coffeekitty I think the natural gravitation to 1hp builds is due the the extremely high curve the damage scaling takes in Way of the Nioh. I had the same mentality of “if everything can already kill me in one hit anyway regardless, I might as well hit back as hard as I can.” So if you want to be tanky it’s best to go all in. A combination of Amaterasu and Kushinadahime which combined gives 3000 extra health. If you can get it all on heavy armor and run in Todo clan you can basically survive Sanada Maru arrow barrages.
i was thinking about trying something like that, currently my build is 4p gallant warrior, and 4p 7 misfortunes, 8 hardships, the end result is +1k hp, and DR on status effects, with 98% amrita gauge maintain, im able to tank one or two hits in LW, get it back _really_ fast with all my amrita gauge and talismans, and janemecho + saoirse + tokugawa keep me alive often when im not in LW. i think this outperforms the 3k hp but it still just feels -not enough-
You can get those kinds of bonuses from reforging? EDIT: I get it now. Is it worth trying for it if you're not really doing insane builds like this? I'm fairly happy with my A+ on both as it is.
Prince Silvermane not really. In my Kensei build video I just had Fam A and CTA Heart A+ and it was just fine. This video was just an attempt to see just how far that build could go if you tweaked the stats a bit.
Sorry I'm kinda late, but I just wanted to say I love how you put the music from Dragons animated short. It's actually one of my favorite videos of all time. :D
I got the game few days ago and i'm (i think) really good at the game - i became in love with a katana and since Lvl 3 i'm leveling it with me, spended about 15K on it but is this really Nessesary? Or should i always pick just the Best weapon i get, Best armor - until i reach a really high Lvl?
embimaru when I first started I did just that, I just used whatever the best thing was until I started using the Kingo’s set with the Atagi Sadamune. I’d say the time to keep and level a weapon is when you find one that synergizes with a particular set bonus.
Can you please write the description in details, my English is not enough to hear you. How to get those materials to forge the weapon, how to get those base weapon before smithing?
HIEP CHU All materials for crafting anything come from what is dropped by enemies at random and from disassembling armor and weapons. The rarer the item you disassemble the rarer the material. As for the item you can craft those come from finding smithing texts, usually dropped randomly from a specific enemy or boss, and some are earning by completing missions on a certain difficulty. I don’t entirely remember where each text drops from, I believe there are guides online that go into much better detail for most of the items in the game.
I can only get the weapon of Level 150 (+9), how do you get the level 300. I have beat Battle of Osaka (Way of the strong) with the help of online friends, but I can only get weapon of lv 150, which cause around 1000 damage per hit.
HIEP CHU each time you go up in difficulty the higher the level will go. If you want to get to level 300-310 you have to play on the highest difficulty, Way of the Nioh.
Hey man I just got back to Nioh when it first came out played it beat played half through again on way of the strength then stopped playing my question is u sure seem to know alot about the stats and what not especially with the skills on weapons would u be willing to make a current date video on explaining stats of weps as well as character stats when leveling up please? One more thing is the season pass worth it? I am considering heavily to buy it also I subbed too man
Ernesto Morales I highly recommend buying the DLC/season pass. It adds a lot of additional story content on the events following the rise of the Tokugawa Shogunate, if you are into Japanese history. As for putting out a new video sadly I cannot at this time. My wife and I are currently moving to a new home and I am focusing on my Shodan exam for Sakurai-ha Kogen Itto-ryu Kendo/Iaido.
Asuryen sadly there’s only really one set that even uses an odachi which is the Kigetsu set, which is a strong set that I partially use. Personally I would run an odachi with a tanky Amaterasu heavy armor build since you can get a huge damage bonus on enemies while being attacked, something you would explicitly avoid with Kigetsu. I used one for a while and found I only used it with Living Weapon since it’s at the bottom of the DPS scale. The main use I found for it was against large groups with its large swings.
Man I was gonna do spear/dual blades but swordwith spear looks better D: looks fun. ( guess itll just be dual swords/kusarigama ninja instead :P) any tips early on for spear/sword? I see you used magic is spirit a good stat as well or nah?
Ryokoshii it kinda depends. If you are going for a living weapon build then yeah, spear has a really powerful jump/spinning attack that hits multiple times that does well. There’s also a crystal-like spear that gets a damage buff from spirit too. Outside of living weapon builds spirit doesn’t have too much use.
Saleh Odinie you’ll be hard pressed to find something with a double CTA and Fam A+. That is better than Fam AA and CTA A+ in my opinion, but the RNG on it is astronomical, and if you don’t get both at the same time you likely won’t have enough free slots to reforge Fam to A+, whereas if you get Fam AA you can easily forge CTA A+. Now if you look at it like A-=1, A=2, A+=3, AA-=4, and so on, then CTA AA- and Fam A+ would give you 7 while Fam AA and CTA A+ gives you 8, but CTA and Fam aren’t a one to one ratio, CTA has a bigger benefit in Way of the Nioh since you can push stats to 200 which amplified its potential multiplier.
Gin Wolf I’m sorry, I think I misunderstood your question. I thought you were referring to skill as in CTA skill. Skill damage for things like iai quickdraw can only occur either naturally on found weapons or from initial forging, they cannot be re-forged. I hope I didn’t accidentally mislead you.
Skeleton King115 ethereal gear won’t start showing up until you are on NG+++ (Way of the Wise). Luckily the Amrita gains get better and better the harder the difficulty which helps with the grind. On occasion I recommend farming Marobashi, lots of Amrita and gear drops that come in at a pretty decent (+) value for the difficulty you are on.
farming revenants is a good way to get some of the more "meta" sets. You'll see a lot of western samurai, hyabushi, god of war looks down. these are popular for a reason. they can help u get over that bump too.
dont worry about anything unitl you hit new game mode. just pick a set u like and go for it. The god of war looks down is a FANTASTIC set to learn the game with as you will get nearly 50% damage reductions across the board and will sponge most hits with heavy toughness. It falls in effectiveness once u start doing the harder ng+ missions but consider them very good training wheels. A TON of revenants use this set once u get access to ur first divine tier items so just farm them for a bit and youll ge ta set of them in no time.
when I profane my weapon with a specific skill, I change this or stay at same? I have this sword, but isn't with grace of Futsunushi, and I'm worried to profane and change the skills of my weapon T_T (sorry for my bad english)
Zangetsu Kurosaki your English is perfectly fine, no worries. Once a weapon is ethereal it’s grace cannot be changed, even if you defile it. It is however a great way to increase its (+) level without having to Soul Match. Just be careful that you don’t die in the abyss without your guardian spirit after defiling something or you’ll lose it forever.
Hi, i wonder if you can help me, im in level 400 and just started way of the wise but the level cap is 700, do you know a good place to farm or a good way to pass the way of the wise?
Gregory Yanase the damage curve on way of the wise gets pretty steep at this point, more so than before. There really isn’t a “best” way, but for me that was a turning point where I started using a 1 HP build since even at full health I’d die in one hit anyway. You definitely are forced into learning when the “right” moment to strike is because if you are outside that window you’re dead. I had the hardest time fighting Tengu until I finally found the exact moment. If you need to level up I suggest farming Marobashi with Sake. There are other methods that give you more Amrita overall, but this is the more forgiving of them and it’s easy to recover your spirit if you die so you never have to worry about losing all your progress if things go south.
King Kerfuffle thanks, that helps a lot, i will try getting the time because its pretty much like that one hit ko, and if i farm its probably going to take some months to get to their level
I've watched your Kensei build video 100 times and I still don't get it - I have ~600lvl, 4500 dmg in stat-cs, 4050 dmg on my sword 300+40 (CTA heart A+, 20% CCD, A Fam bonus), keigutsu's 4 pieces, Futsu's 6 pieces, hino-enma and some others bonuses like agility bonuses on my range weapon... and i deal 82k vs your 180k (without negative effects) and ~200k vs your 999k (with negative effects). I don't believe everything will change when i get yours ~5000 dmg... Spirits - Kato and mouse (don't remember its name) I'm very very sad cuz i don't understand what i did wrong... sry for bad eng
Андрей Волк you’re probably really close and it’s just the little nuances that are missing. Definitely get to level 750 because once you max out your character there’s another set of stats that you unlock for additional attack, defense, and luck that you can get for a couple billion Amrita. At the time of this video I had about 50 extra points into attack, but I think it can go up to 1000, can’t remember. Also get your weapon above 300, it can go up to 310, but you have to hunt for it on found weapons and soul match them into it, can’t be forged raw. Keep going, you can do it.
Your cta heart has to be at least aa not a+ and your familiarity is fine I think at a i have to re watch the video to see if fam needs to be a+ Pay attention to those it’s ver important nioh is very disappointing because they make it very hard to get the right stats it’s bs but you have to have it on the abyss or you get past floor 50 I’m stuck on
Fircasice you’re on the right track, and yes it would be beneficial. However, because it is already part of a different set I wouldn’t be able to get Futsunushi on it. If I chose to forgo my spear then I could put Futsu on my secondary instead, just depends on what you want out of your build. Also when forging the game only ever forges 5 slots at max. That’s why I chose to have an element because otherwise I’d have an empty slot. I chose fire specifically because I have extra fire damage come from my accessory and hand cannon.
Bro I don't know how you even managed to get to 1 million with that build, I followed exactly the same build with same jutsus, items, graces, guardian spirits, with a (CCD 15%) & (FAM A+) & (CTA H A+) & Iai 24.5% on a 7291 attack onimaru kunitsuna and hit a maximum of 593k damage. Has this been nerf hammered or am I doing something wrong
he didn't show his armor parts, I'm pretty sure he has +attack inheritance (the one that you only get on gloves) on all of his armor parts and he has Hino-Enma Kabuto (paralyze helmet) that gives you 60% CCD vs paralyzed enemy and he probably has some accessories that give him CCD vs paralyzed enemy too. so in results whenever he is trying to kill a paralyzed enemy with iai quickdraw he basically has 100% more close combat damage, and there is also one important thing about iai quickdraw, you have to be in front and close to your enemy as possible to deliver the best damage.
i have a question, if i defile a divine weapon in the abyss to turn it to a ethereal, my weapon will have the same stats or the stats will be rolled again in differents stats????
Every time I defile an item important enough to me for me to remember the effects on it, the effects are always the same as before, minus one that gets replaced by whichever Grace Set Bonus.
Kensei Build: no odachi wield :/ Is there any good odachi replacement for this build (with the appropriate spirits of course)? Also I would love to see a Musashi X Kojiro (not pokemon) build. Dual Katana & Odachi.
Croz Raven a Kensei is not what the game “For Honor” portrays it to be. A Kensei is an honorary title given to swordsman of such quality that they are seen as devine, or favored by the gods. There usually was only ever one Kensei at a time, and they used a variety of weapons. If you want to do a dual sword and odachi setup then take my build but swap out Futsunushi and replace it with “A Master Swordsman’s Power” for a boost to Sign of the Cross. You’ll want to use the odachi from the Kigetsu set as well.
King Kerfuffle I have a quick question for you I'm currently working on a tri-sword style build however I'm having difficulties with it in regards to stats/skills because I want Yukimura's armour but I'm so use to a kunai ninja setup that it's a little overwhelming I mean I put in about 400 hours to that build and tried to 100% as much as I possibly could but ended up doing more farming (I'm more of a shooter type) then anything and I got all the way to WoTw then realized that a kunai build was lackluster at that point and hindered my skill with other weapons so I decided to go with a more "realistic" play style being that of laido and nitojutsu I probably spelt that wrong my apologies. However I'm not sure and was thinking that a bit of outside help would go along way. thank you and sorry for any inconvenience on my part
Tri-sword builds are tricky because if I'm not mistaken, the gear bonuses you get for Dual Katana skills take up too much room for futsanushi, so you kinda have to decide if which skill you use the most and then spec for that. Dual Katana are okay in my opinion, I just couldn't get everything that I wanted in one package when I tried it a long time ago.
King Kerfuffle thanks for the response but I don't think I can choose between the two of them as I regularly switch from one to the other but if it helps I use the sword a bit less as I mainly use it for attack from behind, final blow, grapple damage and quick draw but personally I'm a fan of nittojutsu so I use dual swords a bit more but trying not to grow reliant on one over the other and again thank you
Shanna Costa I’m impressed, not many people know what Nitto-ryu is. :) In that case perhaps try pushing to maximize your damage on Sign of the Cross with a dual sword that has extra skill damage for it, coupled with enough pieces to get the bonus from the master swordsman’s set, and then a katana with the fanatics critical bonus and iai damage. That should leave you some extra space for another set or grace of your choosing.
I recently just unlocked way of the wise and my original weapon combination was sword and spear so this build looks freaking amazing! I am however currently stuck and confused at how to progress now, could you or any kind commenters please give me some advice on how I should progress?
full kingo set, random grace of owatatsumi sword, tombo kiri spear, warrior of the west bow and ravenwing rifle, yasakani magatama, prayer beads with yokai close combat damage, I'm about level 400
来栖川七海 it sounds like you’ve got a few smaller combinations of sets that may not be synergizing well in late game. Kingo is a great starter set, but late game it gets a lot harder to get people on the ground for final blow unless you are focusing on timely guard/tempest, and most non-human characters don’t have a down state to use final blow on, but that’s just my observation/opinion. I would suggest finding two set bonuses that are effective on a larger demographic of enemies and that you are comfortable with, and then afterwards see if you have enough space to fit in a third set for extra CCD.
I want to get the amaterasu set on my ranged weapons but I have no idea how to defile gear in the abyss, I've done it like...5 times? and none of my stuff turned into ethereals
来栖川七海 so once you load into the abyss go to the shrine and in the defile menu pick the items you want to defile. Those items will be unusable at that time. Each item you defile starts at zero, but as you play can go up to 3, but no higher. For Amaterasu I suggest starting on floor 33 and fight until you beat the boss on floor 36, then leave. That floor has a chance to drop Amaterasu, but it has 5 or so other graces as well so there’s a bit of luck involved. That won’t guarantee it becomes ethereal, but it’s your best option. Any other found defiled gear also has a chance to have that grace as well.
How did you get this variant of appearance with white kimono (dont know how this part is called)? I beat Yukimura in Bloodshed end and get familar red armor that looked like renovated old one from defiant honor. It looks very cool for me but I dont know how to get that. I appreciate any tips. Nice build by the way, one of the strongest, if not the strongest at all.
SzaKaL thank you for your comment. The white overcoat is called a Jinbaori. Like many of the other sets that have one, the Jinbaori will only appear when you are wearing the do (chest) and hizayaroi (waist) of that set, or at least have your gear refashioned as such. Sanada technically has three sets to his name. One of them is the “Last Great General” set where the white Jinbaori comes from. He will drop it at random once you beat him in “A Fair for the Afterlife” mission.
I've just seen the credits roll on my first playthrough, now I've got more new missions my sword is at 868 damage ive never forged anything don't know what I'm doing, I'm losing all hope I've summoned a few times through out the game n the people I summon are so powrfull, enemies that take me 9 hits to kill takes them 2 or 3 bosses they do all this buffing up n wreck them, I don't get it lol
Blood Borne I’m sorry I don’t quite understand the question. You have the ability to temper any weapon as soon as you get Devine fragments, so technically after you beat the game for the first time.
Amazing Video Chief - Love it. I just finished Way of Nioh and am a PC user (I know I am bit late to this game as Nioh 2 is already out since March on PS4 - but I couldn't help it :) ). I am on to forging the same sword as yourself Onimaru Kunitsuna and wanted to get your guidance. From what I understand from your video, its easier to forge one with Skill Damage (Iai Quickdraw) and then roll 3 skills at a time (and pray to Nioh Gods) that I get CTA AA- and subsequently Familiarity A+ (if possible). I get the feeling that this is a tedious task and luck sort of plays into this. Any suggestions please before I start this?
Maninder Singh you can save yourself a lot of grief and resource farming by exporting your save file either to the cloud or a flash drive and reload your file when you run out of materials trying to get an acceptable roll.
@@kingkerfuffle3173 thanks Boss. Already on it. I already have same sword as you with fixed fire, 5 rolling and one empty slot. So next for me is to save copy and turn it into Etherial before I start rolling effects. Just to confirm, is it true that for familiarity bonus and CTA, reforging is better than forging swords, as i forged like 100 and only one got like Strenght CTA AA-, not Heart (or even skill) - and didn't even see a single one with Familiary A+. Lastly, do you reckon a set/combination of Dual Swords with Master Swordsman Armor (Sign of Cross), and Futsunishi Grace (5 piece with Yasakani) is good? Or should I focus more of a Katana and Spear Build mix? I am not sure how effective these will be in further levels of Abyss - say over level 400 etc.
@@kingkerfuffle3173 Bro - I wanted to take a moment and thank you for this video. After hours of forging and rolling, I got the best sword that I have seen on any video so far. @@kingkerfuffle3173 Hahaha love it. I hope you are making similar videos for Nioh 2 as well. I do have PS4 Pro but will wait to see as hopefully it will release on PC as well. I prefer playing on PC on Ultrawide Monitor etc. I look forward to more of your videos.
Wenca Z in every difficulty I think the best farming spot for weapons and Amrita is still Marobashi. It’s fast without having to do a speed run, the gear drops at a higher level than most other places, and if you die your grave is easily retrievable. However, if you are trying to farm something specific like the gear and weapon of a specific person, you need to go after them directly in whatever dual mission they appear in.
True but my character does not have sufficient damage to make it fast. Stats: Body 35, Heart 50, Stamina 20, Strength and Skill 40, Dexterity and Magic 20, Spirit 30. Trying to do your build. My weapons (strongest) are Kusanagi Tsurugi (+5) and Oni Sakon's spear (+7), 3 pieces of General Kigetsu set. For farm have Kodama bowl, Mizuchi and Irish lady. Using groundfire or paralytic one. Worst one is spear guy (constant block) and my cheese tactic takes too long (bait a swing, dodge and spam heavy attack with spear, lucky to get all 3 hits). Guess its time to git gud.
Wenca Z I suggest trying to parry Inei, his spear swings are highly telegraphed. That may be your safest bet for now. Marobashi is a great way to practice since they’ll throw out a lot of opening moves you can learn the timing for.
Thanks. Sorry, but here are some more questions: When is the best time to forge or reforge items to get desired stats? I am asking because I am on Way of the Demon and I can't get good stats to appear when forging or reforging (e.g. never got star stat on any weapon I forged), are they level based? Also on what level is it OK to go to the Abyss? As I understand to get ethereal stuff, one needs to beat 3 bosses and exit on certain levels (33 is the minimum I think).
im pretty sure you dont really need a star skill for cta, this barely makes a difference, maybe 1% at best, pretty sure its even lower tho, star skill damage is needed ofc, but since your roll isnt perfect you would actually deal more damage with a perfect roll even if you dont have a star cta. the same thing applies for if you reroll with 3 slots at once, yes its more, but as you can probably tell it only rounds up to the nearest number, so again this only makes a 0.1% increase in damage, dont sweat over it if you dont have it, just use regular umbracite and you are perfectly fine.
GMD Sharkz yes it does make a significant difference in both you stats and play style. I have several other build videos that go over those, but the video with the stats on this video is called my Kensei Build. I recommend watching that for the full gear breakdown.
really kinda depends on your play style. Kusarigama are typically used more in Living Weapon builds for their added attack buff. I prefer Katana for its parry options
Why were you using the overwatch genji and hanzo animated short music at the end. Not saying it was bad but just dont know why you wouldn't use music from nioh
@@singh_ma9676 Hard to say for sure, but it sounds roughly like Two Steps From Hell, or at least in the genre of. You could probably look them up for some similar tracks.
Grace of Futsunushi only appears in two ways. If an ethereal weapon drops after defeating a player revenant it will be Futsunushi. It cannot appear normally on a random ethereal drop. It can also appear in the abyss on defiled items. The ones that drop from revenants will not have a (+) rating on their level, they always start at 0. Ones from the abyss with have a + rating in relation to how far into the abyss it was acquired. A good farming spot for either finding random Futsunushi gear or defiling specific items you want to turn Futsunushi is by starting on floor 34 and fight until you defeat the Ogress on floor 37, then leave. There are about 5 sets that appear in regular occurrence using this method, one of which is Futsunushi.
Thomas Suscavage I just like to. It’s something that games like Diablo did to a degree where weapons may be roughly the same, but minor changes in their stats would cause them to have different names.
Jeremy Grimes all of my armor values are the same as they were in my Kensei build. I hadn’t bothered upgrading them. The katana was at +48 when I started reforging for this test. I then soul matched it up to lvl 310 (+50). Even my spear is only at +46.
For them, if they’re human, I focus on timely guard, quick and easy kill. For yokai like Hino-enma or others that are immune, nothing more than proper spacing and timing. Onmoraki is probably the toughest to handle due to its size and speed, but it’s still the same method.
Kamui Rafael is correct. You can get it from defiled items or defiling your own items in the abyss. I’ve had decent success going to Floor 34, defiling my items, then fighting to Floor 37. After defeating the Ogress leave the abyss. There are five sets that appear regularly on that floor, futsunushi is one of them. That is how I got Hino-enma’s Kabuto and my sword to Futsunushi.
I started playing nioh again (im about lvl 150) and i was wondering how to get better weapons since i've been using the same axe since i finished the game (a divine one 150 plus 2). Do you get better weapons on ng plus?
Yes. I forget what the caps are for each difficulty, but on Way of the Nioh you can get up to 310 (+50). They abyss allows you to take the (+) value even higher as well. You can also get Ethereal gear which I'm pretty sure only drops in Way of the Wise and above.
Andy Wijaya Kingo’s set is pretty good for beginners. Gives extra final blow and attack from behind damage. I used it for quite awhile until I got into way of the demon difficulty.
Jayson619 when you select the lines you want to change and click the reforge button you can press another button to repeat the same action as long as you stay on the reforge button. For PlayStation it’s triangle, not sure for pc. It lists it as one of the actions in the legend at the bottom of your screen.
Fantastic video! Your editing and attention to detail is outstanding
And everyone who ive heard play this game said the enemies did 100% dmg while u did like 0,5 nice to see someone master this game.

dude could you leave your revenant somewhere that would be awesome :)
and u get one shooted by his revenant😂

Following in the path you've set my goal is to rival this strength, but with the spear as my own primary rather than the sword. It's nice to see someone else running spear at a power level this high, as I've not seen many others running spear like this.
Thanks for the information I figured out why my lai QuickDraw could not kill everyone in one strike
David Pinto
Jordan5221 is it possible to get a million damage in one hit thanks I realized that I still can’t get million damage can you create a updated video I still love this game I noticed team ninja nerfed this game I can only get 228,206 damage thanks to this video and all the other videos on TH-cam how do you get a million damage
Nice bro! Weapon level + 50 good work
done nioh 2, time to finally play nioh 1, and it looks like this is the build to do it :)
if elemental dmg is a fixed percentage of the total normal dmg you do then you should be able to calculate the dmg you do by knowing the % you get as bonus elemental dmg
as in if cap was 100 dmg and you did 1000 with 20% elemental and got 200 elemental dmg you could find the number despite the cap
this is however going on that the elemental dmg is not affected by the dmg being at the cap of 999999
Interesting observation. If that is indeed the case, then the values I got in my "what can this build do?" test in my Kensei build video put that at roughly 1.39%. Applying that to this would put the total uncapped damage at roughly 1,076,978. I'll have to do some additional tests to see if that holds true or not.
Hi Kerfluffles,
If I were to forgo Tornado (since to me it's a skill closely similar to Quickdraw) and just use Wild Spear as a secondary skill, wouldn't a higher attack multiplier spear or the one with 20-25 yokai CCD be better as opposed to Japan's Bravest?
Can someone tell me how to reforge 3 at a time?
What is background music at 6:05 - it is amazing - can you please share? I believe you have Overwatch Animated Short Dragon Theme on Repeat - Is that correct?
Sorry it took me a while to pick it up :(
Soul Calibur music made all the difference
hey, thanks for the vids - do you have any ideas for builds that don't rely on critical health? i've been scouring the web and i literally cannot find people using builds that aren't either a LW crit health, or a regular critical health build, it seems... odd
i've been trying to make a LW focused durability or tank build, and i'm currently on floor 60 ish, and i've been struggling, i've tried a lot of varieties and i wanna know if you have any idea for a build that can be durable in high content? or at least one that doesn't rely so heavily on sitting at 1hp lol
Hi Zarchov - are you able to also point out music in the background at 6:05 onwards
King Kerfuffle appreciate the the reply my man I'm definitely am gonna buy the season pass again thanks
*I hope Kyuubi no Kokoro and Kanmeki no Raijin become legendary weapons in Nioh 2*
DynoSkrimisher that would be amazing, ha!
Hey there great job on the video! A question (PC Player here) any advice on a good odachi Build?
Asuryen sadly there’s only really one set that even uses an odachi which is the Kigetsu set, which is a strong set that I partially use. Personally I would run an odachi with a tanky Amaterasu heavy armor build since you can get a huge damage bonus on enemies while being attacked, something you would explicitly avoid with Kigetsu. I used one for a while and found I only used it with Living Weapon since it’s at the bottom of the DPS scale. The main use I found for it was against large groups with its large swings.
nice video ! im going to get an A+ agility bonus on my arrow right now :)
Outside of living weapon builds spirit doesn’t have too much use.
what is the best combination, fam AA with cta A+ or fam A+ with cta AA-?
NANI!?
Omaewamo shinderu.....

z3rockz wooow 🤩🤩
subscribed. awesome video! learned a lot!
Gin Wolf glad I could help.
hi, can u only get skill damage on forging a weapon not on reforge a weapon?
Gin Wolf You can get any of the CTA stats when forging or reforging.
King Kerfuffle i guess its luck lol i spent aboit 1k reforging to get skill damage (Iai) and never got it... any advice?
Gin Wolf I’m sorry, I think I misunderstood your question. I thought you were referring to skill as in CTA skill. Skill damage for things like iai quickdraw can only occur either naturally on found weapons or from initial forging, they cannot be re-forged. I hope I didn’t accidentally mislead you.
That SoulCalibur 2 intro music tho...
Hi Counter Life - could you please also tell what is the background music when he is explaining the build e.g. at 6:05
I've been playing for a week now I'm on ng+ and I'm having so much trouble finding higher level gear to upgrade my gear what can I do?
Skeleton King115 ethereal gear won’t start showing up until you are on NG+++ (Way of the Wise). Luckily the Amrita gains get better and better the harder the difficulty which helps with the grind. On occasion I recommend farming Marobashi, lots of Amrita and gear drops that come in at a pretty decent (+) value for the difficulty you are on.
King Kerfuffle ok thank yoy
farming revenants is a good way to get some of the more "meta" sets. You'll see a lot of western samurai, hyabushi, god of war looks down. these are popular for a reason. they can help u get over that bump too.
Hey new player here. I am in region 3 and I am wondering whether it is clever to just pick up exotic gear or if I miss something if I do.
General Jericho take whatever you can get whenever you can get it. The RNG in this game can be brutal at times.
dont worry about anything unitl you hit new game mode. just pick a set u like and go for it.
Great vid! this game is so underrated :/
when I profane my weapon with a specific skill, I change this or stay at same? I have this sword, but isn't with grace of Futsunushi, and I'm worried to profane and change the skills of my weapon T_T (sorry for my bad english)
Zangetsu Kurosaki your English is perfectly fine, no worries. Once a weapon is ethereal it’s grace cannot be changed, even if you defile it. It is however a great way to increase its (+) level without having to Soul Match. Just be careful that you don’t die in the abyss without your guardian spirit after defiling something or you’ll lose it forever.
Liked and subbbed 😉 keep it up bro
Hey, can anybody tell me, what is the sword skin he uses? I can't seem to find its wiki page.
Kristóf Horváth it is the Dragon Sword skin from Jin Hyabusa’s set.
Is there a specific reason to use that particular sword?
Okay how do you do that skill where all those debuffs are used?
This is a really nice build I'm going to try out. But can someone please tell me what music plays in the end?
Acreasdy90 It’s the music used in the Overwatch short “Dragons”.
Spirits - Kato and mouse (don't remember its name)
I'm very very sad cuz i don't understand what i did wrong...
sry for bad eng
Андрей Волк you’re probably really close and it’s just the little nuances that are missing. Definitely get to level 750 because once you max out your character there’s another set of stats that you unlock for additional attack, defense, and luck that you can get for a couple billion Amrita. At the time of this video I had about 50 extra points into attack, but I think it can go up to 1000, can’t remember. Also get your weapon above 300, it can go up to 310, but you have to hunt for it on found weapons and soul match them into it, can’t be forged raw. Keep going, you can do it.
Tnx for your advices and ofc for your video. :)
Your cta heart has to be at least aa not a+ and your familiarity is fine I think at a i have to re watch the video to see if fam needs to be a+ Pay attention to those it’s ver important nioh is very disappointing because they make it very hard to get the right stats it’s bs but you have to have it on the abyss or you get past floor 50 I’m stuck on
My only question is, where is your revenant?!
Devin Raines that would require that I die. ;-)
Do you have link where I can see your build and armor set etc....
Like, if you're using crit status anyway, wouldn't it be better to have something else on the sword instead of the fire attribute?
Fircasice you’re on the right track, and yes it would be beneficial. However, because it is already part of a different set I wouldn’t be able to get Futsunushi on it. If I chose to forgo my spear then I could put Futsu on my secondary instead, just depends on what you want out of your build. Also when forging the game only ever forges 5 slots at max. That’s why I chose to have an element because otherwise I’d have an empty slot. I chose fire specifically because I have extra fire damage come from my accessory and hand cannon.
Same question where i can found this sword?
Bro I don't know how you even managed to get to 1 million with that build, I followed exactly the same build with same jutsus, items, graces, guardian spirits, with a (CCD 15%) & (FAM A+) & (CTA H A+) & Iai 24.5% on a 7291 attack onimaru kunitsuna and hit a maximum of 593k damage. Has this been nerf hammered or am I doing something wrong
they probably nerfed all that shit and he got it before that
he didn't show his armor parts, I'm pretty sure he has +attack inheritance (the one that you only get on gloves) on all of his armor parts and he has Hino-Enma Kabuto (paralyze helmet) that gives you 60% CCD vs paralyzed enemy and he probably has some accessories that give him CCD vs paralyzed enemy too. so in results whenever he is trying to kill a paralyzed enemy with iai quickdraw he basically has 100% more close combat damage, and there is also one important thing about iai quickdraw, you have to be in front and close to your enemy as possible to deliver the best damage.
Silly question but which clan did you pick for the bonus?
Wish the build was listed, dont have sound or anything at work.
How do you craft items of this rarity? I can only green kraft.
Гаара Сабаку You cannot craft ethereal weapons. You either have to find them randomly or defile a Devine item in the abyss.
i have a question, if i defile a divine weapon in the abyss to turn it to a ethereal, my weapon will have the same stats or the stats will be rolled again in differents stats????
Every time I defile an item important enough to me for me to remember the effects on it, the effects are always the same as before, minus one that gets replaced by whichever Grace Set Bonus.
Kensei Build: no odachi wield :/
Is there any good odachi replacement for this build (with the appropriate spirits of course)?
+1 for soul calibur music
I recently just unlocked way of the wise and my original weapon combination was sword and spear so this build looks freaking amazing! I am however currently stuck and confused at how to progress now, could you or any kind commenters please give me some advice on how I should progress?
what level are you at? What gear sets are you currently using?
full kingo set, random grace of owatatsumi sword, tombo kiri spear, warrior of the west bow and ravenwing rifle, yasakani magatama, prayer beads with yokai close combat damage, I'm about level 400
Thank you. Thats the only mission from last dlc that I never pass through.
How do you unlock before and after tempering so you be able to manually put special effects on ?
Blood Borne I’m sorry I don’t quite understand the question. You have the ability to temper any weapon as soon as you get Devine fragments, so technically after you beat the game for the first time.
I can say that "Kensei" sounds like "can say".
More like ken say than can say
Here is a picture for you link below... Thank you again - for this Amazing Video.

I got both Change to Attack Skill AA-

Familiarity Damage Bonu A+
I have Bonus After Evasion Attack (Nullify Damage) on it and Nullify Damage (Dash-Attacks) on gloves - I use them appropriately where required.
:)
Maninder Singh well done. You are now a god among men.
How can you get your needed grace funu ?
Any good farming spot for level 200 on Way of the Strong?
Does armor matter, if so what do you use?
GMD Sharkz yes it does make a significant difference in both you stats and play style. I have several other build videos that go over those, but the video with the stats on this video is called my Kensei Build. I recommend watching that for the full gear breakdown.
Dope ending
is a sword/katana ok for farming and just playing in general compared against kusarigama ?
really kinda depends on your play style. Kusarigama are typically used more in Living Weapon builds for their added attack buff. I prefer Katana for its parry options
ah i see , then i will go katana i think , because i don't want to rely on living weapon that much , thank you.
Why were you using the overwatch genji and hanzo animated short music at the end. Not saying it was bad but just dont know why you wouldn't use music from nioh
I used music from that short for everything after the intro. Stylistic choice.
How can you re roll cta double a's on a weapon
Etherealality you can, but only if you re-roll three slots at a time, and the best you’ll get up to is AA-
King Kerfuffle. Thanks a lot that helps a bunch
New PC player snooping about here. Nice Soul Calibur music. ;) Did you hear there's a SoulCal 6 on horizon?
Hi Dmitri Guy - could you please also tell what is the background music when he is explaining the build e.g. at 6:05
@@singh_ma9676 Hard to say for sure, but it sounds roughly like Two Steps From Hell, or at least in the genre of. You could probably look them up for some similar tracks.
@@dmitriguy5759 thanks bro, I found it. Its the Dragon Animation one from Overwatch.
how can you keep changing the bonuses in the smithy without selecting them again?
It’s been so long I can’t exactly remember but I know it was a single button press that lets you do it.

How did u remove ur helmet form ur character ?
There's a setting in the game options that lets you turn off the helmet as well as the chest belt.
Hello King Kerfuffle, please tell me in which location is best to farm the set Grace of futsunushi ? :)
Need Video guide farm set Grace of Futsunushi ,Thanks :)
Good build but why are you renaming the weapons? It's the same effects pretty much everyone uses on weapons in end game.
Thomas Suscavage I just like to. It’s something that games like Diablo did to a degree where weapons may be roughly the same, but minor changes in their stats would cause them to have different names.
Hi, how to get abyss
Can I possibly have your save?
I check out kensei briefly. You must have max level gear. If this is true why show a plus 48 wep.btw i was skipping around with no sound
Jeremy Grimes all of my armor values are the same as they were in my Kensei build. I hadn’t bothered upgrading them. The katana was at +48 when I started reforging for this test. I then soul matched it up to lvl 310 (+50). Even my spear is only at +46.
Really now... cool. What about without paralysis. Since some enemies are immune.
For them, if they’re human, I focus on timely guard, quick and easy kill. For yokai like Hino-enma or others that are immune, nothing more than proper spacing and timing. Onmoraki is probably the toughest to handle due to its size and speed, but it’s still the same method.
I just tried this with tosa instead. Pretty good too
Does Futsunushi drops from offline revs?
Kamui it does not, only player revenants.
So i'm fucked if i can't go online
Edit: is it possible to get offline in some other way at least?
you can get it by defiling items on abyss or just looting from abyss bosses
Kamui Rafael is correct. You can get it from defiled items or defiling your own items in the abyss. I’ve had decent success going to Floor 34, defiling my items, then fighting to Floor 37. After defeating the Ogress leave the abyss. There are five sets that appear regularly on that floor, futsunushi is one of them. That is how I got Hino-enma’s Kabuto and my sword to Futsunushi.
Thanks for the information, 5 hours trying to look for info and all i got was people looking for spots for farming Revs or meetups .-.
Thanks a lot
Hey kerfuffle do you want to help me I am lvl 130 and I am on way of the strong only
nice present.
Thanks for the reply man. Great video, just subbed.
You're a master hacker!
I gotta admit, this game on the 1070 is epic

Andy Wijaya Kingo’s set is pretty good for beginners. Gives extra final blow and attack from behind damage. I used it for quite awhile until I got into way of the demon difficulty.

How do you keep reforging three at a time?
Jayson619 when you select the lines you want to change and click the reforge button you can press another button to repeat the same action as long as you stay on the reforge button. For PlayStation it’s triangle, not sure for pc. It lists it as one of the actions in the legend at the bottom of your screen.
King Kerfuffle I'm on PS4. Thks!
