If they could produce this at higher efficiency but still keeping the same quality, it would no longer just be Lambourgini, Ferrari, Bugati, and Porsche. It would certainly be interesting if they could.

Remember they did it with that Ford V8 not with that V6 Turbo, the game has changed. Time will tell if this thing can still win races. Gonna get shade for this but ford itself never made any legendary cars. Most of the ford gt is kade by shelby. The only good sporty cars that i can think of that ford makes are fiesta and focus. I would mention the mustang as well but i think the handling could be better.

The GT40 was Initially designed by Ford based off a Lola mk6 chassis in Britain and Shelby and his crew, under Ford, took the prototype and turned it into a winning race car using all the money and technology Ford could throw at it at the time.
Fact of the matter is The Ford GT40 is a Ford, not a Shelby. The Le Mans winning Ferrari's before the GT40 weren't designed by Ferrari himself, but they're still known as a Ferrari to this day. It's not the engineer, but the badge they work under that determines what the car is and isn't. It's why the Mustang is a Ford Mustang, not an Iacocca Mustang and the Corvette is a Chevrolet, not a Duntov. The Ford F-150 Lightning, the Mustang SVT Cobra R, The newest GT500 (which was only .15 seconds slower than a 911 GT3 RS on a track test), The 69 and 70 Mustangs (the 1970 Boss being the sexiest Mustang ever produced imo), etc are all legendary Fords.
I think it's fair to say that Ford hasn't produced legendary racing cars, besides the GT40, like those of Porsche, Ferrari, etc, but to say they haven't produced legendary cars isn't really true.

I am Brian Maybe Ford will finally manage to make another edition of a Ford GT that’s faster than a front engined Corvette.
Are you insane? The BASE MODEL C8 is right there on the track with the GT500, with significantly less power, less brakes, etc. Therefore, once the Z06 and ZR1 come out it's bye bye Ford. The mid engine layout they now have, blows away everything Ford has other than their unobtainable GT, which doesn't matter since the C8.R exists.
You know, it's really off putting when someone, like you, have to be such an extreme and ignorant fan boy who can't see the good in other brands and/or models. Don't be that guy. No one likes that guy. I have a Mustang and Z06, I like high performance no matter where it comes from. This makes me a true "car guy", something you are not.

Which one? The original had a 427ci FE OHV V8, the new one has the MK2 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6.

First one had a 427 FE the 05-06 had a blown 5.4 the new one has a Ecoboost 3.5.

@@CarGuy5141 Actually boosting the voodoo engine isn't that good of an idea, it's better if you do that to the normal 5.0, the Flat Plane Crank is a fragile engine and is very much rattling all over the place, adding more power like a turbo isn't exactly the best for long lasting durability, so no it wouldn't exactly be better,

A V8's size would throw off the amazing areo of the GT, and the TT V6 suits the job better.

Even with a v6, ford managed to make the gt match the historic standards of the iconic old gt that had a v8. Initially, when the new ford gt won the gte pro category in le mans, it proved its dominance again & heritage edition was a must. Totally reflects ford's incredible racing history. So much amazing to see ford doing this.......this will be always remembered, ken miles and the ford gt🔥
