You know you make good videos when someone who knows shit all about cars (me) is legitimately learning and enjoying every minute of it, all 40 of em! 😂❤️
I purchased my ETS kit directly from ETS. I had absolutely zero issues. EVERYTHING bolted right up perfectly. Makes me wish I made a video to show how simple an ETS rotated install is when you have the rights parts.
I just bought a used wrx with a rotated kit from ets. It's speed density. I'm having boost controller issues. Does anyone know where I'm suppose to route port one to? I can't find where to route the hose
I know this was some time ago but when you was showing the little hole and the pill inserts in the nut to restrict the flow of oil and he said he wants the bigger one because he wants more oil that can and will over time or maybe already has blown the seals out of the turbo there is a ratio you should follow
I said the bigger open one is for a precision turbo, as they require more oil flow to cool the turbo because they do not run coolant through them like a Garrett does. The garret turbo requires the oil restrictor, which I installed. But yes you are correct to check the chart specific to oil flow for your turbo when deciding the proper sized restrictor. 👍🏼
You can rotate the housing on the turbo as you know so why did you choose to still run the pipe under the intake manifold?? when you could of clocked/rotated it and had a straight piece of pipe run directly to the intercooler with no bends or kinks except the bend goin in to the turbo and the intercooler there for more of a direct path will charge that cooler up and build boost quicker resulting In your car being more responsive not necessarily more power but definitely have everything happening more quicker then it is currently or was then
This video was meant to be an ETS rotated kit installation guide, was not expecting to get the wrong kit. With that being said, the way their kit is designed looks extremely clean & functions very well.

@DanielKellert thanks for the Details bro I made it to the very end and it was worth the 40minutes of time man, its literally giving me all the best ideas for when my sti goes under the knife! I can not wait for that infamous first start plus i wanna hear this thing so bad! well done Daniel! 😁
Personal preference honestly. Depends what your goals are! Keep in mind Garrett’s run coolant through them so you will need to run coolant lines. Precision’s are only oil cooled.
@@DanielKellert my tuner told me once to go with the Garrett G30 but the i heard the Presicion performs better than the G30 series, dont know about that, i know both are good
This video worth it to watch till to the end I don’t care if goes 1 hour video because the details from small to big was set there.. very well explain mostly the connection from A to B.. I rather prepare long video with fully details than short one super cut no where to learn at all.. so keep it up Canada eh.
A/R is the Area of the turbine housing divided by the Radius of the internal chamber in the housing that passes air through it. Kind of hard to visualize it from words so this video explains it very well. th-cam.com/video/NUet-QO6DSQ/w-d-xo.html Basically the larger number A/R has a larger internal diameter to pass air through, which means less back pressure but does not necessarily mean it spools faster. That’s why you can fit different A/R sizes on the same size of turbo. You’re just changing the internal size of the chamber, not the turbine wheel size of the housing. It also depends on the design of the turbo. I hit full boost around 4200-4500rpm 👍🏼
Hey man sorry I may have not worded it right but I was just asking what size housing you have on your turbo but thanks for the info. I know it’s tough to get a full understanding on A/R sizing since it changes from turbo to turbo. That’s why I’m curious on what your turbo has for the exhaust housing A/R and when your hitting full boost and I think you said you are running somewhere around 22 psi?
@@DanielKellert yea they do man can’t wait to finish mine doing all by my self like you did brother thanks for all the inside help and keep the vids going

Sick! I’m in the process of building my STI with a gtx3582r shooting for 700whp on E85 with a P&L rotated turbo kit. Just waiting on the clutch and fuel lines that are back ordered.

I agree. ETS makes unreal quality products, I just got unlucky. One day I will order another ETS kit & make a simple bolt on install guide :)

Sweet build brotha! On a side note, that blue carhartt hoodie is fresh asf
That turbo is drop dead gorgeous
HAHA appreciate that 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Ayy thanks! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thats what i need to find, a shop where i can get custom piping and hard parts for the turbo
Order an ETS kit! No custom piping needed! I had to modify mine because they sent me the wrong kit.
Get em bro!! Love it!
Almost there 😁😁

@@DanielKellert I got question below on this 😎
Hey Would you please be able to let me know what A/R is the exhaust housing? And what rpm you hit full boost at?
