Garfield’s Judgement Day sounds like it would’ve been much better than the stuff we got today. After all, it was planned around the time the show and the specials were around.
If DNA productions never file bankruptcy and that the ant bully movie didn’t failed in the box office, Jimmy neutron could’ve gotten a 4th season and a 2nd theatrical release title the search for Carl. I was genuinely surprised that Nickelodeon had pulled back on the Rugrats live action but still managed to greenlit it like it’s no big deal while SpongeBob is getting a 4th movie. That just proves that Hollywood as a whole are just bloody money hungry and lost it’s touch.
Man I miss DNA productions, the ant bully was a flop unfortunately but I wish it would have done well so we could have had more jimmy. Maybe one day they’ll bring him back
Here's my ideas if you made a part 2 of Nickelodeon cancelled film 1. Untitled Ren & Stimpy animated film 2. Untitled Doug animated film 3. Bone (Film) 4. Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie (original version) 5. Untitled The Fairly OddParents animated film 6. Sequels to The Last Airbender 7. Mighty Mouse (Film) 8. Nicktoons Movie 9. Untitled Henry Danger film 10. The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge
There was actually a concept for a Fairly OddParents theatrical film around 2007. The plot would be that Timmy feels bad for the children who don't have fairies, so he wishes that they would all have one. He doesn't realize that Vicky is technically still a kid, so she gets a fairy and raises hell.
If we actually got that nicktoons movie. It would have been a live-action movie like The Smurf; there would be an unnecessary love subplot with Oblina and Ren; the CGI would be cursed; and the human characters would take up more screen time than the actual Nicktoons. Also ls mark would have probably made a video on it.
Ls mark is cool, I’m definitely gonna cover that movie eventually. It’s sounds so cursed but I probably would have found some weird enjoyment in it lol
Rugrats had an extended-length episode in 1997 during season 4, called RUGRATS VACATION. I had it on vhs as a kid, I always thought it was the first official Rugrats movie. I still feel in my heart it was truly the first Rugrats movie, up easily forgotten.
I freaking love that special, it’s so much fun and might be a favorite for me. Angelica singing vacation is hilarious and will always be special to me!!
You should do other Nickelodeon movies part 2 like for Danny Phantom getting a live action movie, Avatar coming back in an animated feature of the adult main characters, Fairly odd parents cancelled theatrical movie of their god child poof, Rango and Adventures of tin tin not getting a sequel.
There's a weird thing I've noticed a year ago. As far as Nickelodeon Movies go, besides the TMNT movies, none of the non-Nicktoon movies under the Nickelodeon Movies label has ever had a sequel. Even movies that would make the most sense to make a sequel for. Harriet the Spy, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Spiderwick Chronicles (all three were based on books that had sequels! WTH!?), Jimmy Neutron and Barnyard. The latter two became official Nicktoon shows and Jimmy Neutron HAD a sequel planned but that got cancelled. The sequel for The Adventures of Tintin has been in development hell since the movie released 11 years ago. But Puss In Boots came out that same year and their sequel has also been in development hell but it just came out. So, never say never, I guess. And where the hell is the Wonder Park show!?! Also, after the announcement of several SpongeBob movies/spinoffs, I kept thinking: does Paramount not have a globally successful franchise? So I looked in their Wikipedia page and they definitely do. Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Scream, A Quiet Place, Jackass, Sonic the Hedgehog and now Top Gun. The problem is that most of the franchises aren't very consistent with their quality. Namely, again, Star Trek, Scream, Beverly Hills Cop, Paranormal Activity, G.I. Joe, Cloverfield. Coming 2 America definitely made me skeptical for Beverly Hills Cop 4. It definitely didn't help that they let Michael Bay singlehandedly ruin not only the Transformers film franchise, but also the TMNT film franchise. Maybe they can redeem themselves now that Bay isn't writing or directing anymore as I've heard that was the main reason Bumblebee succeeded critically. Bottom line, Paramount is in desperate need of quality control if they want to compete with Disney, Warner Bros or Universal. At least their marketing for Paramount+ is really cool! Plus, I don't know if you realized this, but Rugrats started a cinematic universe before Iron Man did 10 years later! Think about it: Rugrats had two movies like how Iron Man had two movies. Then came The Wild Thornberrys Movie. And both shows came together in one movie!
There’s so much great information to unpack here, yeah it’s absolutely crazy that none of these movies besides tmnt and Rugrats have received sequels. The adventures of tin tin was a success critically and rango literally won an Oscar yet nothing else came of it. It’s actually quite crazy to think about. So many canceled plans and franchises that went nowhere, and haven’t even been mentioned in over a decade. I just find it insane.
This was an interesting vid. I never knew that Jimmy Neutron was going to get a sequel and after hearing about it, I'd say not going through with it is for the best. Not everything needs to have a sequel.
If Memory serves (I could be wrong so don't quote me on this) Rob Paulson (The VA for Carl himself) Once stated the Search for Carl Movie was going to be more about his Friendship with Jimmy how they met and became Friends and more Importantly How Jimmy Treats him him like a Labrat.
Wainy Days Not a Nickelodeon Movie But a Web Series created by David Wain of Children's Hospital fame which was set to be Acquired by Nick at Nite In 2016 just to go head to head Children's Hospital on Adult Swim but the show got cancelled and The Acquisition was scrapped entirely they still should've aired the show In my opinion Nick at Nite could've made It the next George Lopez and could still see that working
Despite Garfield not being owned by Nickelodeon I think he was brought by Paramount there Paramount company basically another Ninja Turtles situation they own everything Garfield except the theatrical movie rights that's Sony
Sony's movie rights pre-existed the Viacom sale. None of the movie related merchandise had a Viacom/Nickelodeon copyright the same way general Garfield merchandise tends to have. Though the Kaboom comic book limited series based off the movie does have the Nick logo.
@@HeySamus33 I thought it was odd someone outside of Viacom/Nick/Paramount was producing the movie, but apparently it was in preproduction for some time and Sony's film rights were grandfathered in. Meanwhile, Nick keeps saying there's going to be a TV series, but the only thing they've given us is that fighting game and a bunch of merch.
Yeah it’s such a strange case where the rights were kinda all over the place. I only included it because it was listed on the list Nickelodeon wiki and it interested me but yeah Garfield is a weird case lol
I love my life as a teenage robot and I need to make a video on Jenny (I had one planned but scrapped it midway through) And the Jimmy neutron soundtrack is a BOP

Yeah I much prefer that version of Garfield over the 2010s 3D animated one that was on Cartoon Network. The new movie looked good though

I'm genuinely sad we didn't get the Jimmy Neutron one 😢
Tho the Show was the best so I probably wouldn't trade that either
Yeah it does suck but I’d take the series over a sequel any day

From Warner Brothers Discovery to Paramount/Nickelodeon
