Mustang Mach-E Rally review! Fun in the dirt & quick on the road!

- The Mustang Mach-E Rally is a rally inspired EV from Ford that we recently got a chance to try out at the DirtFish Rally School! We got to drive it on the Skid Pad and Boneyard courses before taking a 40 minute drive on regular roads.

I miss the dirt roads and tank trails back when I lived in Georgia. I think the Rally would be perfect out there. I did that with a 95 FWD Nissan back in the day.

I'm from Denmark, and I love watching your videos. Sometimes I wish I was closer to the US, because I really like the communities around the Mach E. I'm still exploring though, so there may be something in Northern Europe too. I recently got a Mach E 2022 and I'm really in love with that car :)

I scrolled through the option page for both the 2024 GT and Rally and found nothing that trips my trigger. When I started considering buying a GTPE in 2021 Shadow Black was the only color on my radar. I liked the Cyber Orange, but I am getting too old to drive something that daring. I had a Proton Yellow Isuzu VehiCROSS from 2001 to 2015, so I know about getting attention. Fortunately, I had to put that purchase on hold when my renters decided to stay an extra year. However, when Ford announced the 2023 Nite Pony package I was in love. It was perfect... almost. It would have been perfect if it was offered in Tuxedo Black metallic, like my 2013 SHO. As soon as the order desk opened in 2022 I placed my order for a Shadow Black Nite Pony GTPE and I have NO regrets. It looks sinister and performs as good as it looks. I have Blue Cruise 1.2 with all the features you crave,.1.3 will be nominal improvement for me. I like the Shadow Black Rally with the stripes and door logo, but I can't stand the white wheels and white interior highlights. That's a "no" for me. I'm not crazy about the Bronze Package, though it does look good with the Eruption Green (only). I'm not in the market to trade in my GTPE... ever... unless Ford offers a two door hard-top convertible EV (think Mercedes SL).

You guys have done a very dangerous thing. Now this Rally is looking like the right “Level Up” from Premier. Green of course. Still trying to decide on the black roof and stripes. Hmmmmm.
Tell your Ford contacts, this will appeal to existing Audi allroad owners. They should reach out to all of us.

Let’s call it “hoping”. Lots of personal stuff needs to be dealt with first in general. Was pretty well decided on Mach-E vs Model Y. But my decision on premium being likely choice, has been made less obvious to me after watching you guys “Rallycross” ;)

Very cool video you guys. Got really excited about the rally. Think if some younger person like me late 30 want one but being bigger guy i would opt for a select and add spolier and add wider fender flair kit aftermarket add toss better tires on it. See few mach -E had a lift on them on select look backroad worthy.
As outdoors person wish the f150 lightning was used for under 25k . Or new one for sub 40k .

Looks like a lot of fun! I wonder how beat up the cars are after doing these laps (rock dings, scratches, etc.)?
We were there on day 4 and they looked like they were in good shape.
Green. No stripes or decals. Roof body color.
Just as a point of information, in another review, I'm thinking maybe Alex on Autos but not sure, the reviewer said they talked about the different ride with a Ford engineer or engineers. They told him that the difference in ride was totally about the tuning and wasn't affected by the additional height of the car. Which of course means you could have standard a Mach-E with the ride of the Rally.
The whole Rally package is great fun but the Rally would be attractive for a wider demographic than Ford is thinking. Because the ride on electric vehicles is so smooth, they are all something of a luxury vehicle. The Rally could be attractive to those considering a Genesis, BMW, or MB -- it's a nice looking vehicle -- but the spoiler would likely be a deal killer for a lot of these folks. This could be remedied if you could delete the spoiler along with the decals.
We probably talked to the same engineers. The amount of suspension travel helps for the off road stuff (and maybe some big speed bumps). A lot of the on-road smoothness comes from the combo of the 19 inch tires with bigger sidewalls. Even in Unbridle mode, the ride was smoother than our GT PE or the 2024 GT we drove in Whisper mode.
We also had conversations with the engineers, PR folks, and other media about the Mach-E lineup. I'd love to see a Mach-E Platinum that combines all of the features of a Premium but include MagneRide (and ventilated seats).
Any idea when NACS fast charge adapters will ship? I ordered mine on day one.
